It had been a long hard night. But the mission had been accomplished, and the Shield was home again ... some few candlemarks before dawn. But it had been a mission of the type that really left Jarshan hopping. She was too wound up to stop just yet. Between the adrenaline and a few other things coursing through her veins, she just couldn't fathom going to bed. Walking into her quarters, she stripped out of her leather and took a few moments to wash all the stink of work off of her, making sure to clean all the treelitter out of her hair in the process. Cooled and clean, she spent a little more time cleaning her leather clothes. It, too, needed proper care. Not only to be cleaned to keep it from smelling bad, but also to keep it flexible and quiet. By the time she was done, it smelled like leather, but nothing more.
A stray thought crossed her mind, and she grinned to herself. Oh, so what if it wasn't yet dawn? All the better!
Donning the freshly cleaned leather once more, now that her skin and hair was dry, she bunned her hair up tight on the back of her hair again, pulling out all the curls until it was all smooth. She neglected to don any of her weaponry however, opting to leave it all behind. Well ... almost all. Her belt went around her waist, and there were a few sheathes pretty much permanently attached to it. So those went along with her. Jarshan stepped over to her table and picked up a length of stout cord and then walked out the door, but not before pointing a finger at Naraja.
Exhausted, the feline didn't even blink at her, flopping over onto her side in the middle of Jarshan's bed. Sure, she'd stay her. Nooooooot a proooooblem.
Walking stealthily along the halls, Jarshan made her way to the top tier of hallways. There, she paced along until she found the doorway she wanted. Opening that door, she slipped through and closed it again. Standing upon the ridge of the Weyr, she reveled in the wind buffeting her for a moment.
But only a moment. It was still dark as pitch, but she could still tell where she was going. Scooting down the slant of the ridge, she squatted down and used one hand to steady her descent down the face of the stone. With a last leap, she fell to land on a dragon ledge below. Tumbling to come back to her feet, she straightened and eyed the dragon there.
The beast blinked at her, surprised to have its night interrupted by raining humans.
"Open your mouth." Jarshan instructed. Bemused by the instruction, the sleepy dragon did so. Jarshan hooped the looped end of her cord over one of those fantastically sharp teeth that were suddenly visible. "Hang onto that, and don't you dare let go." She instructed, before sprinting the two steps to the edge of the dragon's ledge and diving off.
Surprised, the dragon shut his mouth and just watched Jarshan go. After a moment, the cord yanked tight against his tooth, but it didn't bother him much. So he put his head back down and went back to sleep, heedless of what Jarshan was up to.
Doubtless his rider would be mystified in the morning.
Repelling down the face of the Weyr, Jarshan carefully lowered herself down the length of the cord, guaging where her feet would land as she moved. Slowly, she made her way down, until she finally saw where she wanted to go. Walking sideways, she heaved on the cord to haul herself back up a foot before stepping off the wall onto yet another ledge.
This time her arrival was stealthy enough to not wake the dragon sleeping there. Freeing herself from the cord and allowing it to hang where it was, Jarshan walked into the weyr itself.
There, right where she thought he'd be. Sleeping the night away as if there was nothing better to do. Again she sprinted a few steps, leaping into the air to sail the last distance and land upon her target.
Well ... almost. She didn't actually land on him, instead landing everywhere but, hands and knees pinning him down with his own furs. But the bounce of landing would surely have awakened him. Jarshan leaned down close until her nose almost touched his. "Hey, what are you doing sleeping?" She teased. "Don't you know you're missing the best part of the day?"
Probably not exactly how D'ero would have expected to meet her again, but oh well. What was life without surprises? Especially since her leather was laced loosely enough all the way down the front to leave a long V of pale skin shining through the otherwise dark leather.
Quite the wake up call!

The brown dragon twitched a little in his sleep as Jarshan landed on his ledge, but like his rider continued to sleep peacefully. Both had been worn out after a day of training and flying around. Of course even the deepest of sleepers would have had a hard time sleeping though someone jumping on their bed. His bed bounced under him and D’ero was awake in an instant, looking up at a face. His eyes widened in shock and surprise as he tried to figure out what was going on. Was this some sort of attack on the Weyr? He almost commanded his now awake but confused dragon to let out a warning before Jarshan spoke. All the tension suddenly left his body as he realized he wasn’t about to die and he shut his eyes, taking a few deep breaths to try and slow his heart rate. “Shards, you just about gave me a heart attack.” He opened his eyes and noticed the lovely view that her loosely tied leathers gave him and couldn’t help but grin a little. “I take it back, I must be dead.”
D’ero shut his eyes again and shifted as much as he could with Jarshan on top of him. He cleared his throat a little and tried to not let his mind run off. “I uh normally wait until the sun is starting to come up before I wake up. But this is definitely going to be the best part of my day.” He opened his eyes again and admired the view once more before he looked up at her, looking slightly embarrassed. While this was an unexpected way to be woken up, and one that he enjoyed, it was a bit awkward. It didn’t help that Horuth had stretched his neck out and was watching the two of them, trying to figure out what was going on.
Do you need any help? Tons. Just not the kind of help you can give me. Go back to sleep or uh something. Horuth let out his odd huffing laugh before returning to the edge of his ledge and turning his back to the two. Once there was some light he’d be able to give them some privacy but until then they were stuck with him.
“Sooo unless your going to join me in bed,” He gave her a slightly hopeful grin. “You should probably let me up so I can put something on. Having you on top of me like this is a little awkward when I’m naked…”

Jarshan giggled. Yes, she giggled. "You could have been very dead, yes." She agreed. "Lucky for you, the person who found you sleeping so soundly doesn't want you dead." Jarshan teased, sitting up slightly but not releasing the furs that still held him pinned down. Of course she knew exactly what he could see, because she'd deliberately set it up that way. Naturally. What more interesting way to wake a fellow up?
"Oh you do, do you?" Jarshan asked. "Well, we're going to have to remedy that, now aren't we? Slacker." It was really difficult. There wasn't much more she could do to tease or torment him without getting off of at least one point in pinning him down with his blanket. Which she was pretty sure was all he needed to get free entirely. Just one. Given motivation, some fellows were quite resourceful and determined. Orrr ... maybe not. Staying just as she was would probably be more teasing than he could handle, given how his gaze was wandering. She giggled again. "Like what you see?" She asked, even though the answer was more than obvious.
"No, silly. I'm not going to join you in bed. That would just be too easy. So, you stay in bed, and I'll be on your bed. Okay? Like so. Ooooooh." She trailed off as he finished talking. "Really? Nothing under there?" Okay, that she hadn't exactly expected or planned on ... but she could roll with that too. "Awkward can be fun. Very fun." Jarshan leaned forward again, dipping low enough to kiss him lightly, just enough contact to distract him again. This was going to be fun, she could tell already. But it was clear she wasn't going to let him go just yet, keeping him trapped in his own bed.

Jarhsan was an evil, evil woman. D'ero had to fully admit that as she kept him pinned down, just giving him teasing little looks. He was enjoying it too which made it worse. Every time she shifted it gave him a new look of her and he did like looking her over. It wasn't just that V of skin that caught his attention but every curve of her body. And her giggling too! It was shocking to hear it at first but hearing that little laugh was almost torture. And she knew what it was doing to him, and enjoying it far too much. "Why yes, I do like what I can see. It'll be even nicer once the sun starts to come up and I can see more then just your silhouette too."
He was a little disappointed that Jarshan wasn't going to be nice and join him in bed. Of course he didn't think the teasing would stop even if she did stop pinning him to the bed. He could already tell that nothing was going to be easy with her in her current mood. "Nope. Nothing. My own room so I went back to uh sleeping in the buff." Really, he now felt lucky that he hadn't kicked the furs off in his sleep like he did some nights. At least she seemed amused by it instead of bothered. "Well I'm glad that you can have fun with my awkwardness." He gave her a little smile before she bent down, his eyes wandering down as well for a moment before her lips lightly touched his. He let out a little groan, squirming under her as he tried to find a way to get himself free. He was bigger and heavier then her but his size didn't help him when he was stuck on his back.
"You are an evil woman Jarshan. And I hope you know that sooner or later I'm going to get you back for this." He sounded tortured by what she was doing to him but equally amused as well. The only time he had seen her this playful she had been drinking a bit. It was fun to see her like this, even if he expected it to end with him still trapped under the furs and alone it would be worth it. "I think you're having too much fun at my expense."

Jarshan snickered. "Awrr. You seriously want to wait until the sun comes up? That'll be awhile you know." She answered, entirely too pleased with herself. This was just as much fun as she thought it would be. He was squirming and everything. But ... if he kept squirming like that, there was half a chance he'd wiggle right out of his cocoon. And off the bed, too, but still. She couldn't have that. If he got free, it would be because she set him free. Not because he won his freedom. Unfortunately, that put her in a bit of a time crimp, as she didn't know how well he was aware of his wiggle-room.
"Awkwardness is always fun. So is fun at someone else's expense. Don'tchuno?" She laughed. Sooner or later he would get her back, huh? Why did she have the feeling that he intended sooner rather than later? It was all good though ... at least he was awake now. She leaned in to stare at him for a moment, well aware that on anyone else it would be quite an unnerving thing to experience. But lucky D'ero already knew that she wasn't going to hurt him. So it was more a silly expression than an intimidating one. "You're no fun, being all pouty like that. You know it." Which of course was nothing more than more teasing at his expense. Jarshan kissed him again, but this time a little more firmly, distracting him for a moment while she shifted her position.
Ooching her knees a little farther forward to carry more of her weight, she lifted her fists from the furs, freeing his shoulders from the confines of his cocoon. While she had his face occupied with that kiss, she tugged on her laces a little bit, allowing them to fall further open before she sat up again, grinning at him. He was all hers, and they both knew it. The only question that remained was whether or not she was going to let him play, too.
Touching his face gently with both hands, she ran her fingertips down his neck and over his shoulders, to catch his furs and peel them back a bit. To not only tease him, but also to point out that he was semi-freed because she had freed him. So far. He still couldn't actually get up unless she let him, but all things in due time. "You want to put something on? What would you like to put on?" She asked, knowing full well that getting up and dressed was really the furthest thing from his mind. But since he'd said it, she was going to tease him about it anyway.

“I didn’t say I wanted to wait for the sun. Just said it’ll be easier to see you.” While he was stuck in an awkward spot, D’ero didn’t want to risk Jarshan leaving. Yes, he wanted to be free but he wanted her to still be there and not just leave him to spend the time until sunrise by himself.
He squirmed under her again, making another little pout at her. He looked right back up at her as she leaned in, stopping his movements under her. “If I ever catch you in an awkward situation I’m going to remind you of this. And maybe if I keep pouting you’ll take pity on me and let me up.” He had to stop his pouting though when Jarshan leaned down and kissed him. This was a better kiss then the first one and while he felt her shifting her weight around on top of him, he ignored it and was more then happy to be distracted by her.
Jarshan loosening her shirt up a little more was something he hadn’t noticed until she sat back up. His eyes wandered down to take in the new view. While he wished he could be a little more active, he didn’t mind being pinned down. And so long as Jarshan didn’t mind what kind of a reaction he had to her, he couldn’t be too upset about anything. He was pretty sure most guys weren’t lucky enough to be woken up in such a fun way.
D’ero’s eyes moved back up as he felt her hands on the side of his face, slowly moving down his neck and to his shoulders where she pulled the furs back a little. He shifted a little, not trying to get free but just making himself a little more comfortable as he looked up at Jarshan. “Well for your sake I was going to put some pants on. But if you’re ok with me like this then I won’t change. Not like you haven’t seen it all before. It’s not fair though that I’m stuck not wearing anything and you get to be fully clothed…” He tried to give her an innocent look, as if that might get her to be a little nicer to him.

Jarshan snickered. "Are you sure the sun would help you see me?" She teased, contemplating whether or not to point out that the sun had been up the day they'd met in the jungle. Both times, actually. Neither time had he known she was there until it was too late. First as a foreigner and then again as a weyrling. But she decided against it. It was hard to get a fellow into a romantic mood when he was actively remembering days that he got this snot scared out of him.
"You don't want to know what happens to people I take pity on." she cautioned, a tad disappointed in him. Maybe waking him up so early hadn't been such a good decision after all. For even after potentially freeing his arms, he was still just lying there. Wow, the mind was a powerful thing. But she knew that. "Besides, you need to stop pouting like an incompetent fool. It's not my fault I'm still dressed and you're not." Really now ... he just wasn't being any fun at all. None whatsoever! Maybe she'd scared him too bad, again?
"You're quite boring today." She commented. "Do you know that?" Maybe goading him a little would wake him up. If not, she'd have to try something a bit more drastic. Though what that might be she'd have to consider. While he was just waking up, if early, she already had a full day and night of intense activity behind her. The longer she was idle, the slower she got. Going to sleep was not what she wanted to do, but it was certainly a bit harder to be as quick-witted or sharp as she was used to being. Not that she would admit that of course. Reputation was wonderful for carrying a body through such slow slumps!
Remembering some things that he had said previously, she devised a way to elicit a reaction out of him. Whether or not it would be a good reaction or not was yet to be discovered, but right now any reaction was better than none in her book. "Well." She decided, shifting her weight to one side as if to climb back off of him and get to her feet. "If you're going to pretend to be asleep, I'll have to find someone else to play with who's a little more awake, hm?" she commented, more or less stiff-finger poking his jealousy bone as hard as she could. She didn't mean it of course, but he didn't know that.

D’ero frowned slightly at some of Jarshan’s comments and chewed on the inside of his lip. He was trying to be a decent guy. Because really, when your hot girlfriend wakes you up by jumping on you and pinning you to the bed, all you want to do is rip off her clothes and do as many naughty things as you can. He knew that wasn’t the sort of thing she wanted when there was a flight going on but he wasn’t sure how she would react to it at other times.
He brooded on how to react to her until she said something about leaving and finding someone else to play with. He was visibly bothered by her comment and took a moment before reacting. He wasn’t going to let her leave like that. Ohhh no. Forget trying to be a gentlemen and behave himself.
He suddenly grabbed a hold of her upper arms and pulled her hard to the side she was putting most of her weight on. He was bigger and heavier then her, which rarely seemed to work in his favor, but now he used his size to roll and trap her against the bed with him on top. He kept her firmly pinned down, knowing that she’d be able to get out from under him with little effort if she really wanted to, shaking his head a little as he looked down at her. “Oh no. I’m not going to let you go find someone else. Not after you wake me up and tempt me like this. Do you know how hard it is for me to not just pull all your clothes off right now?”
He shifted his weight, putting more of it on her lower half as his hands slid down her arms, making it clear that he didn’t want her to get away just yet. D’ero took her wrists and pulled her arms above her head so he could grab ahold of them both with one hand and keep her pinned down like that. He didn’t worry about hurting her, knowing that the moment he did something she didn’t like she’d either tell him so or just get free.
With one hand now free, D’ero first pulled her hair out of the neat bun she had put it in. It was going to get messy and lose anyways, might as well take care of it now. Plus, he liked it when her hair was down, it wasn’t something that most other people got the chance to see. Then he went to work undoing the laces of her top the rest of the way. He didn’t pull it off or even open it any more, no he was going to take his time with some of this. He smirked a bit before leaning down and kissing at her neck, nudging her top to the side a bit so he could get to her shoulder as well. “Is this a little more awake for you Jarshan.”

Ooooh, she'd struck a nerve! It was about time, in her opinion. First a frown, and then that twitch. Now he was thinking! She couldn't help but be more than a little smug. He was so easy to manipulate sometimes... Jarshan wondered if he even knew that he was being played like a gitar. Or if he was existing in happy oblivion.
She never actually made it off his bed, which was just what she'd planned. Though, the means of execution were a bit more abrupt than she had quite anticipated. Jarshan grunted at the impact, and then giggled. "Oh, is that how it is?" She asked, allowing him to turn the tables ... for the moment. Though now she was not only the only one dressed, but also wrapped up in his furs as well while he was exposed to the morning air. Oh, the ironies.
Jarshan wriggled under him, partly in play and partly in trying to rearranging the meaty and bony bits so that things weren't digging into awkward and painful places. She arched an eyebrow at him. "And what makes you think that isn't expressly what I was looking for?" Jarshan queried. Though it would be nice if he'd just take it off, and not rip it. Granted, it would be hard to rip, but her leather outfit would be difficult and expensive to repair.
Curious what he might do, she allowed him his way for a time. Though getting both wrists pinned above her head wasn't exactly something she had looked for. Maybe it was just her training, but being made to even seem constrained or helpless just didn't go over very well in her mind. Thankfully, she wasn't actually pinned ... thanks to that self same training. Jarshan smiled slightly as her hair cascaded in all directions into a huge curly mass once freed from the pin that had held it all snugly and neatly in place.
"Mmm ... maybe." Jarshan answered, twisting one wrist and levering with her forearm to get his weight off of the other one. Freed, she slipped the one wrist out of the hold he'd tried to put in place. Bringing that arm back down, she snaked it around his shoulder even as she arched her neck against his kisses. "Hrrrrr." It wasn't quite a purr, but it was a close approximation.
Garr, the way he was going, he was making her want to kick him off and strip out of her clothes. Which wasn't what she wanted. No, she wanted him to do it. But he was taking so long! Meanieface. Of course, she was also highly aware that this was exactly his apparent intent. There also wasn't a whole lot she could do about anything, either. Not without first tossing him off onto the floor and untangling herself from the furs he'd somewhat happenstancely wrapped her in. Tossing him off wasn't what she wanted to do, so she tolerated her limited range of motion for the moment.
Letting go of his shoulder again, she moved to help with those laces, drawing each X out completely until she was able to drag the laces out and throw them on the floor. There ... now there were no laces to hold her top shut. One less thing in the way.

Morning air on his tushie did not bother D’ero. It was too damn hot here anyways. And having Jarshan pinned under him didn’t make things any cooler. Especially when she squirmed and wiggled under him like that. It may not have been for naught reason but that didn’t change the fact that D’ero enjoyed having her under him like this. Even as she worked her wrists free, she was still stuck under him. Of course she didn’t seem to mind that part as she arched up under him.
He couldn’t help but grin a little as she let go of him and pulled the laces out of her top. He couldn’t resist looking down before looking back up at her and kissing at her ear. Really he had wanted to torture her just a little longer by going slow but even he didn’t think he could do that. Instead, D’ero slid an arm under her and around her waist, lifting her a bit as he pulled her top off and tossed it near the discarded lace. Next went the fur that was frustrating him. He was more forceful with it then he needed to be, after all it wasn’t the furs fault that it was wrap around Jarshan and prevent him from getting the rest of her naked. Finally he got the fur off of her and went right to work at pulling her pants off, going just slow enough to not hurt her or rip them. He took a moment to look her over, a little smirk rising to his lips before he leaned in to kiss her again.
~*~*~*~
D’ero had dozed off a little afterwards, one arm flung across her holding her tightly against him. The sun had started to rise, enough so Horuth could finally leave without risking injury to himself. He didn’t want to get up, laying next to Jarshan was far too comfortable, but made himself do it anyways. If he stayed in bed too long he’d just start to get restless. Or frisky. Either way, he wanted to let Jarshan get a little sleep without having someone constantly touching at her. He started his morning routine of cleaning up, every so often peeking in at Jarshan.

It had taken him a little while to get warmed up. Maybe he'd still been asleep or something. But once he got going, boy howdy did he bar no holds. Jarshan was happy, and was more than happy to drift off into a fully exhausted sleep tucked against him. She was going to need another bath, but oh well. For now, she was happy, content, and tired. Sleep was by far more appealing.
She slept hard for the little while that D'ero was still. In that time, she was truly relaxed. Which in and of itself a sign of her trust in him. Not only would he not hurt her, but she considered herself safe when with him. Enough so that she slept so soundly, where normally the slightest sounds would wake her. But when he got up she uttered a soft groan, returning to the land of the awake. Rolling over, she squinted up at him as he moved away.
If she hadn't had a full round of work behind her, she might have been more spry. But between a mission and then playing so very friskily with D'ero ... she was by no means inclined to get up. In fact, sleep was tugging very firmly on her senses, trying to draw her back down into that comfy darkness. "What are you doing?" She asked sleepily, a bit frustrated that her pillow had gotten up and wandered off.
Yawning, Jarshan tried to rouse her senses a bit more, despite the pull of sleep. Mmmph, but the furs were so warm, smelled so good, and were so comfy. Much better than gritty rock.
Really, it sort of looked like he was getting up. Possibly even getting dressed. Though from this angle it was difficult to tell. She pushed some of her hair out of her face, to try and get a better view. The twerp. He was getting up. Really now, you'd think that having a naked woman his bed would keep a young stud in it. But apparently not. Her pillow really was getting away. The twerp! Jarshan yawned again as she propped herself up on her elbows.
"Really?" She asked. "Leaving already?"

He was disappointed that his getting up had woken her but he wasn’t surprised. He rolled his eyes a little and wandered back over to the bed, dropping down next to her and putting his arms around her. He hadn’t gotten dressed but he had decided it would be a good idea to put some underwear on. “I’m not going anywhere, just thought it would be a good idea if I didn’t have breath that could wake a dragon.” Annnd that I put on something so I don’t harass you while you sleep… D’ero ran his fingers through her hair lightly, hoping that she’d be able to get back to sleep. He was sure that she needed the sleep and well, she had looked so peaceful when she had been asleep. He pulled the furs up and around her a bit more and gave her a soft kiss, trying hard to behave himself for a little longer. “Try to get a little more sleep. I just wanted to get up and clean up a little. If I didn’t get away from you for a little bit I was going to wake you up and probably try to start something again.” There was no probably about it, he would have done it. He couldn’t help himself around Jarshan, especially when she was naked. (ick short post )

Jarshan smiled slightly, leaning into the hug he offered her. She rested her head on his shoulder while he played in her hair, comfortable and content, willingly returning the little kiss that he offered. But a smirk appeared on her face when she heard what he had to say ... and also heard what he'd actually meant. "As lovely as that sounds, I do think you are right." Shifting her weight toward the elbow nearest to him, she hooked one arm around his neck for a brief hug of her own.
Silly boy. But she did let him go again and fell back into the furs he was so nicely tucking her in with. A comfortable but tired sigh escaped her, and she considered giving in to the weight of sleep drawing her down. But she resisted it for a little while longer. It was too bad he couldn't be a good boy so he could be there too. But there was no hope of that ... especially since he was already well rested, and she was anything but.
Jarshan opened her eyes again and smiled at him. "How about you go do what you need to get done. Wash your dragon or whatever it is you do." Reaching up with one hand, she touched his face gently. "I'll be here when you get back." She promised with a wink.

D’ero stayed next to Jarshan as she settled back into bed. For a moment it looked like she would just fall back asleep. He would have stayed right there with her if that’s what she needed to sleep, he would have gotten restless but he did want to make sure she slept enough. Instead she opened her eyes again and gave him permission to go take care of some of his things and promised to still be there by the time he was done. He gave her a little smile and gave her a soft kiss. “Alright, you get some rest, I’ll be quiet when I get back.”
He stayed there for another moment, brushing some of her hair off her face before he got up and finished getting dressed. He went slow enough so he wouldn’t be making too much noise and murmured a soft ‘sleep well’ before he slipped out of his weyr. He made a quick trip to the kitchens to get some klah before he headed outside to find his dragon. It wasn’t too hard to find the smaller brown eating his own breakfast. D’ero let him finished before suggesting that Horuth could use a wash. That was all it took to get the brown in the water. D’ero took his time caring for Horuth. With Jarshan sleeping (hopefully) he wasn’t in a rush. And washing the brown wasn’t a full day affair like washing a gold or bronze was.
Once Horuth was clean, D’ero let his dragon do whatever he wanted and returned to the Weyr to go check on Jarshan. He paused as he passed the kitchens before going in and grabbing something he could take back with him; two glasses of klah (which he was more then willing to drink if she was still sleeping), a few pieces of toast, and a piece of fruit. He munched on the toast as he returned to his weyr, juggling everything in his hands around as he opened the door quietly and walked into the room. He set the food down before he slipped off his boots and went to the bed. He was sure that no matter how quiet he had been he had made some noise that had woken Jarshan up a bit. He crawled back into bed with her, putting his arms around her and snuggling up with her.

Jarshan smiled when he kissed her again. He was sweet. Cute, silly, but sweet. She couldn't help but stay aware as he dressed, listening to every sound, acutely aware of where he was and what he was doing just from the sounds. But then he left, off to do whatever it was he was going to do today. Once he left, it was all too easy to descend back into the dark depths of tired sleep.
In that state, it was as if no time at all had passed before she was awakened by the sound of the door swinging open again. But thankfully she had not been dreaming, so as soon as her eyes opened again, she knew where she was. Knew who it was that was coming in ... not only because of where she was, but by the sound of his walk. It sounded a bit funny because he was trying to sneak, but she still recognized his step. Turning her head a bit but not bothering to rise, she watched as he moved about the weyr.
Judging by the light on the walls, she knew that quite a few candlemarks had passed ... that and despite being awakened again she wasn't nearly as tired. Almost refreshed, actually. She started to say something, but then he was crawling back into the furs with her. Jarshan grinned as he snuggled up close, wriggling down snuggly against him.
And then came the rude realization. "You're wet!" she announced suddenly. Why was he wet??? Her sleep-groggy mind took a full second to realize that he'd probably been washing his dragon. Rolling over far enough to be able to ply her hands to him, she started working on his clothes with her fingers. "You're not supposed to go to bed in wet clothes, didn't your momma ever tell you that?" She chided, partly horrified at his chilly cold wet nature, and partly teasing him.
Pulling on his shirt front, she kissed him hello. Only afterward she licked her lips thoughtfully. "Toast?" she asked speculatively.
