Eira fell in a heavy heap and the only thing on her mind was trying to cover herself with the rags she was left with. ”Eira it's alright...You'll be safe soon.” Siath told her weyrling, trying to sooth the frazzled mind to the best of her abilities, she backed up closer to the wall while she talked to Eira. The little green was doing all she could to remain calm with the fighting going on and trying to keep her rider from losing her mind. The dragonet continued to tell her S'nuo is there and that he'll keep her safe now. Malith had told her so that S'nuo would protect her Eira and she was simply trying to pass on the message that she was actually in safe hands.
The words were going unheard now as the shock of what happened washed over her. She kept repeating the same actions of trying to keep herself covered as the sound of metal hit her ears. Closing her eyes, tears rolled down her face as she twisted the cloth in her feeble attempts for decency. ”Malith...I can't get through to her. She isn't listening to me.” The green told the older blue. ”I'm worried about her, she's scared and thinking oddly.” It honestly was scaring her not being able to get through to the normally very level headed young woman.
Her breath trembled as S'nuo moved towards her, she tried to cover herself even more, not realizing who it was moving towards her was a friend not a foe. ”My Eira, it is alright, it's only S'nuo, he's trying to help you.” Siath told her rider gently. ”Malith...She's still not responding to me or anything.” Eira was scooting away from S'nuo until her back was pressed against the wall. His shirt was forced over her head and she cried out, fighting against him. ”I don't think she realizes what is going on Malith, she's not thinking straight warn yours, please. I don't want to think of how she would react when she realizes she is hurting a friend.” Once the shirt was on, Eira moved to hit S'nuo again. “Leave me alone!” She shouted at him struggling to get her wrist freed from his gentle grasp.
”Eira, listen to him please.” Siath repeated S'nuo's words. ”It's only S'nuo, you told me he was a good man. He is a friend.” She was still struggling to get away from him when he scooped her up but the words were slowly sinking in. It was not long until the struggling stopped as she looked up at the older man. A small sound left her throat as she wrapped her arms around him a little bit tighter and she clung to him. Her face burying in his bare chest as the tears started and she allowed to let herself cry more freely.
“S....S'nuo...” Eira whimpered, her words a jumbled mess as she held onto him. ”He has you, you're safe...Malith the man is gone, two others got there to help.” “Th-th-thank y-you...” It was all she could really get out at the moment. Just a simple thank you for him saving her life. Trembling in his arms. Eira closed her eyes and held onto him knowing she was finally in safe hands. Pulling her face away from his chest she looked up to his face. She could smell blood an she looked down at the shirt he had practically shoved her into before looking to his arm. Her face almost seemed to fall as she watched the blood dripped down his arm.
The young woman could not help but feel like him getting hurt was all her fault. ”Eira, it is not your fault. It is no ones fault.”

Malith had been continuing to attempt to calm Siath even though there was a clear change in his mind voice when S’nuo cut him off. Malith knew it was because of the fight – he knew his rider needed to think. That did not mean Malith was able to handle it calmly. While the words he continued to speak to Siath to calm her, it was his emotions that gave away the fact that he no longer knew what was going on. When Siath told him others had helped and the man had left, that was when Malith blew out a sigh of relief and sought to push for that connection to his rider again – glad to receive it this time.
Oh thank my lucky egg. Was all Malith had left to say with a sigh of relief as he let his eyes wander over the bowl again. The fight was shifting… And while Malith shared the scene with his, he let out a keen as two dragons jumped between as their rider’s died. While the fight was shifting to show that the Holdless were beginning to retreat, lives were quickly being lost as well. Blood covered the bowl floor and as life’s little candles flickered out, dragons began to jump between to join theirs in the oblivion that was between, effectively taking their own lives as well.
A tear rolled down S’nuo’s face as he heard his blue cry out in anguish as his kind began to take their own lives. The pure sorrow he felt from his dragon was enough to shake the usually sturdy man though the only visible sign was that single tear that rolled down his cheek. Hearing Eira’s soft thank you, he looked down at her before pulling her closer in his arms as he moved deeper into the lower cavern tunnels, turning to take a tunnel that would lead to the back entrances’ of the weyrs.
Twice they passed a guard as they moved down the hall, clearly making sure no holdless had broken that far in to get to try to get to the dragon’s from a back side. Sweeps would need to be made of the Weyr when it was all said and done to make sure none stayed in hiding to strike again. Even so, S’nuo’s feet took him upward along the tunnel rather than to his current weyr at the bowl floor. That one was not safe, but if he remembered correctly, nobody had moved into his old weyr yet and he still had a handful of things he had not moved from there yet.
“Do not thank me, Eira.” He said softly after shaking his head no to a guard who asked if he shouldn’t be moving toward the infirmary instead. As S’nuo moved on, he explained the denial of thanks. “I was not fast enough to save you, Eira.”
But she is alive. There is damage that I would not be able to explain to you, Malith. Why? Pausing a moment, S’nuo attempted an explanation anyways. The man flew her Malith, even though she was not ready to be flown. He hurt her to do so. Deep down inside, he hurt her. It’s a hurt even healers cannot heal.
Malith quieted after that, but S’nuo felt the waves of sadness that came off of his little blue and as he pushed the wooden door open to his old weyr, the bluerider knew the sadness probably showed upon his own face.
“We will wait here until the fight is over. We will be safe here, Eira. I won’t let them get to you again.”

Siath was more or less very happy that their riders were safe, that Eira hadn't cut off her thoughts even though her mind had been all over the weyr with what had happened. Thank Malith's lucky was right, both their riders would be alright and neither of them would need to worry for them at the moment. ”He's hurt but...My Eira will patch him up I'm sure. She thinks it's all her fault, I know it is not. She'll take good care of him like he will take good care of her. They're friends after all.” Siath thought softly, Eira would know how to patch him up. It was when her emotions took a small turn as she felt two of the older dragons engulfed in a sadness she did not understand. Not yet anyways and she didn't know why it felt appropriate to let a soft quiet keen leave her.
Eira swallowed as she could feel her green's sadness for those who have passed away. The young dragonet didn't understand why she felt so sad for those she did not know, but she felt it was simply appropriate. Eira closed her eyes for a brief moment letting more tears fall, not only for herself but for those who had passed. She had been a healer for what seemed like all her life, sometimes people could not be saved but, this fight going on outside was not natural. It was a forced death in her eyes. Something that shouldn't happen, something that was not right and unnatural.
At least they had not got down into the lower caverns, besides that horrible monster that violated her. Thankfully he had been the only one and she allowed him to pull her closer in his arms, she held onto him a little tighter after she quietly thanked him. While she didn't know where he was headed she just knew she was in safe hands. That he would keep her safe now that the monster was chased away and outside. A guard asked the candidate master some question she tuned out. Really it was for the best they were headed to his old room, it was further away from the fighting.
S'nuo spoke, and she listened to him as he told her to not thank him. That he was not fast enough to save her. While she knew what he meant, he did save her. He saved her life and fought to protect her from being harmed further. The bluerider was a good man, like she always thought. Even though she was shaken up, still terrified for all the right reasons, she felt she needed to repay him some how. She needed to patch up his arm once her head was thinking straighter. Even if patching him up was no where near to what he did for her, she felt it was all she could do.
The sadness was clear on his face as he pushed the door open.
”Why are you sad my Eira? You're safe now.” Siath thought gently to her Eira who swallowed as she repositioned her hand on the back of S'nuo's neck. ”S'nuo is sad...” ”Why would he? He saved you...He didn't let that bad one kill you.” ”Don't worry yourself...I'm safe now Siath, and he won't let them get to me again...” Eira thought softly as she looked up at S'nuo's saddened face.
Slowly she hugged him slightly, a shaky breath leaving her. “Y...You did save me S'nuo.” She told him softly, every now and again her voice would quiver thanks to the fear that clung to her mind. “You did not stop him from..” She had to stop talking for a moment as she tore her dark eyes away from him.”F-from doing what he did to me but...You saved my life.” Swallowing, Eira looked up at him. “I th-thank you for that S-S'nuo.” Oh how she meant every word of it, just like she meant every word when she told him to be careful.
As he moved towards a chest, she shifted so he could crouch down and she flinched as the wounds the monster had dealt to her started to sting. “Y-you're hurt.” It was as if she was trying to keep her mind off of her own pain and focus on his arm. Her own pain shown up easily on her face though, even if she was fighting pitifully to focus on his.

S’nuo had leaned his head back against the stone behind him and closed his eyes, they opened again, however, at her comment that he was hurt. Looking at her for a long moment, as if deciding what to say, he finally looked down at his well blooded arm. Shifting so that he sat down fully, he crossed his legs and rested her down onto them before taking the pressure of her weight off his injured arm.
Wincing at the movement, he finally reached over with the same arm and took hold of the chest, grunting as he drug it over a little closer so he could reach the latch. He had to pause, however, as his eyes were closed once more, this time to fight back the sharp lash of pain at the use of his arm to drag the chest over. Finally opening his eyes again, he undid the latch and pushed back the lid.
Inside were several old shirts that were patched here and there, an old Klah mug, a worn leather belt and a half empty bag of sweetsand. S’nuo let out a sigh – of course it was too much to hope for that he might have left some numbweed or even felis in the chest.
“Eira…” he said quietly. He knew she was in pain, it was as clear upon her voice as it was upon his own. “I need your help. There should be plenty of shirts in there… I need you to help me bandage my arm.”

Eira kept her eyes on him for a moment before he started shifting to actually sit down. She watched as he took gold of the arm and pulled the chest closer to them and she bit her lip as he winced. Swallowing, she wished there had been numbweed or even felis in the chest, but, at least there were old clothing in there. From the looks of things they were clean too so that was better than nothing.
Shifting, she only nodded as she reached over easily and pulled out a shirt before moving his injured to drape over her lap. “It's fine..I...I know you wouldn't be able to bandage it up on your own..” Her voice was soft and while it was still shaky, it was slowly getting better around him. Swallowing, she ripped the shirt into neat strips as she tried to keep the pain from her own face.
It was something that wasn't exactly working though, as she really was in pain. Both physically and mentally. For now, she needed to concentrate on his wound. Swallowing, she looked to his arm and started to carefully get it bandaged. Even with what had just happened, she was able to keep her hands from shaking as she dressed the wound. Once it was done she kept his arm where it was, finding herself feeling a lot safer with his arms about her and her eyes closed for a moment as she went back to cling to him.
“I-is it as bad as I think it is?” Eira asked him softly, speaking of her own wounds like that welt across her left cheek and the bruises that shown exactly where that monsters hands were.

His arm now bandaged, he had been surprised that her hands had remained so calm despite the shake in her voice. Upon her completion, he wrapped his arms around her lightly and held her close as he leaned his head down rather than back, so his cheek rested against the top of her head.
“They will linger for some time.” He answered honestly even as he closed his eyes. The loss of blood had him dizzy, but he knew now that it was wrapped he was in no danger of bleeding to death. Even so, his fingertips felt cold and he clung to her warmth almost as much as she now clung to his. “But they will not scar you.” …. Not like the wounds on your spirit…
“You will still be beautiful, Eira.” He said softly. Truthfully.
You think she's beautiful? Shut up.

Eira had been surprised herself that her hands had not shook as much as her voiced did. It probably helped she had extensive healing training and she knew she needed to get the wound properly dressed. When she finished, she liked how he wrapped his arms around her and held her close. He simply was making her feel safe, that nothing more could go wrong as she kept holding onto him. As he rested his cheek against the top of her head, she kept her eyes closed as he responded.
That sounded about right, that the wounds would remain for longer than she would want to. She could feel how cold his finger tips through her clothing. At least there was no worries about him dying from blood lost. When he said they will not scar her, she nodded slightly. That she knew, there had been no blood from the blows. While she was sore, she knew there would not be any physical marks. Naturally, she would have to take time to heal emotionally from everything that happened today.
When he mentioned she would still be beautiful she blinked. ”He thinks I'm beautiful?” She thought. ”Who S'nuo?” Siath asked curiously. ”...Nothing.” ”Malith, does S'nuo thinks my Eira is beautiful?” Siath asked the older blue not knowing he asked himself already. Swallowing Eira tightened her grip on him. “I'm not that vain S'nuo...” She told him quietly as she closed her eyes again.
“I hope they could fight them off...” She muttered quietly, after all they could hear everything going on below from here. The dragons dying the yells and all of the fighting. It was sickening.
At least for now, they were safe. Malith was safe and it seemed like Siath was safe even though the holdless had gotten into the barracks. ”The ones here are leaving!” Siath told her Eira. A heavy sigh left her as she opened her eyes and looked up at him. “They fought off the holdless from the weyrling barracks.” She told him quietly.

Hearing that they were, in fact, winning of sorts, S’nuo closed his eyes and watched through Malith’s gaze as he circled above. It was quite some time after the last of the living holdless disappeared from view that Malith finally landed, completely exhausted at the prolonged flight even if most of it was a glide, and he spoke with his rider again.
I am told that dinner will be served in the hall tonight… to help calm people. Will you be going?
It took S’nuo a moment to answer as he considered it. No. I will offer to take Eira to the healers. If she doesn’t wish to go, then I will escort her to somewhere safe and go there myself.
Isn’t Eira a Healer? Yes, but we had no healing supplies in here. Come, help us down from the Weyr. I hurt.
As the blue landed on the familiar ledge, he looked inside and crooned as he waited for S’nuo to finally open his eyes and look first at the dragon then down at Eira. “I need to visit the infirmary, but they are having dinner at the Weyrhall. I’m also not sure of the conditions of the Weyrling Barracks. Do you wish to come with me or to the Weyrhall?”

Siath had fallen silent just like Eira had. The young woman had closed her eyes though, simply breathing and doing her best to calm herself completely down. She would be shaken from that incident for who knew how long but, for now she was safe. She felt safe with S'nuo simply because she known him for a long time, and because he saved her from whatever that monster could have done. It was something she would continue to remind herself. It could have been worse.
”The other's are going to the Infirmary, my Eira...Will you be there?” Eira was about to tell her she was going to stick with S'nuo when Malith arrived. ”I don't know Siath...It'll be alright...” She told her green gently before swallowing as S'nuo opened his eyes and first looked to his blue before looking down to her.
“I'll go to the infirmary with you.” Eira told him quietly. ”I am going to the infirmary with S'nuo, I'll be alright...Stay calm, keep with your clutchmates.” ”I will try my best my Eira, but I can not wait until you're able to rejoin me.” ”I will as soon as I can Siath, S'nuo will keep me safe.”
Slowly, Eira moved off of S'nuo's lap before slowly standing up. She was rather thankful he had forced his shirt onto her, it covered her enough to give her some sense of decency. For a moment, Eira turned her back to him, fixing what was left of her pants. A heavy sigh left her as she slowly turned to S'nuo. “i-I think it's best if I go myself...” They wouldn't be able to do anything for her bruises but....She needed to get her mind off of things and make herself useful because she was the one needing rescuing. That she couldn't help her fellow riders during the attack. ”You're not useless my Eira, you were trying to find that child....” Siath gently pointed out to her rider, that she had been in fact trying to help.
