Krestanovith stood there with his eyes closed enjoying the touch and then just butted her hand playfully again. "I think that he likes you," said R'kin as he looked at her then went over to looked at the other dragons. "You'll impress a queen one day I can almost bet on it," said R'kin as he looked at her then rubbed the eye ridges on the young dragon. His Krestanovith looked at her for another moment then went over to play in the water. "Come on it's hot a swim would be great," said R'kin as he stripped off his shirt and boots then ran in the water after the dragnet.
The bronze weyrling hadn't planned on a swim yet it was defiantly hot enough for it. He ran into the water as he dove in and came out next to his bronze dragnet. "It's warm come on in," said R'kin as he looked at her then waited for her to join them as he floated on top of the water. His bronze thinking this would be a good time to have some fun decided to splash his rider with his wing sending water back at him. "You overgrown fire lizard," said R'kin as he looked at the dragnet and then splashed water back. It was normal for the two of them to have these play fights more so then bicker like other fights.

"You think he really does? Here I thought he was just basking on all the affection."
The playful butting of the dragonet, while surprising considering his color, were welcomed by the teen as she obligued the bronze with a few more scratches and pampering, before finally watching the winged lizard make his way into the lake were others also seemed to be having a good time. To R'kin's comment of how she'd impress gold, that he could almost bet on it, the brunette just gave a half hearted chuckle.
"I bet you tell that to all the girls you meet."
Still, the comment meant no ill-will -- but more a playful jab -- before she watched with one raised eyebrow and an amused expression as the weyrling striped from his shirt and boots before running into the big expanse of cool liquid. She spotted a decent side rock close to the chore, aiming for it as she sat down. Between their walk, and their pampering of Krestanovith, allready a decent amount had passed and, considering she hadn't really finished her meal, Nayza decided this was a good spot as any to finish those meatrolls she had stached away in her wherhide pouch.
"I'm alright, don't worry."
She was content enough to watch them, as well as the other weyrlings around the background, splash about and enjoy their day free from chores. If anything she could use the excuse that she'd just eaten -- Nayza was a strong believer of not diving into any body of water so soon after snacking. A cramp in the depths could be a very nasty, and sometimes fatal, mistake.
"You and Krestanovith enjoy yourselves in the lake."

"Okay," said R"kin as dove into the water again and was kicking as he laid back relaxing. He looked at his dragon that he went under water and they had a water fight. While he watched the girl continue to eat and they continued to play for a little while longer. The young bronze weyrling finally tired out and he got out of the water to collapse on the beach area with his dragonet beside him. His body was tired from playing and they had enjoyed the time in the water.
He went over to the candidate and took a seat then asked, "You know this is my favorite place because here we can relax," as he looked at her? R'kin feared the day that he would have to have all that responsiblity and sighed then smiled at her. "Ahh," said R"kin as he laid back to relax and just looked around then closed his eyes. The bronze weyrling was enjoying the day of freedom and just relaxed next to his dragonet.

"It is a very beatiful lake, definitely a spot perfect for relaxing and enjoying a nice day."
A smile was given to R'kin as he and his Krestanovith settled down close to her spot, the brunette watching the mass of a bronzen dragonet carefully as he rested. They were definitely gorgeous beast, both the metallic dragons as well as the solid colored browns, blues and greens. Dragons were truly amazing creatures, how they were able to form such a strong mental bond with their human lifemate -- as well as mentally communicate -- had always puzzled Nayza to no end. Softly she stretched out a hand to scratch one of the bronze's eyeridges softly, content to just sit there for a while and soak in the view and new-found company. She watched Rukbath slowly starting to set, the bright glow of the Red Star glinying in the orange, purple, red and faint blue tinted sky.
It worried her, both Haven and Refuge Weyr were filled with rumors of threadfall coming soon -- and Nayza believed them. Even the dragons seemed worried, she still remembered Kioth's fidgeting every other night as he and her father discussed the matter. "These are definitely hard times..." She whispered softly, unconsciously continuing to scratch Krestanovith softly. Not only was there the threat of Threadfall... But those holdless had cropped up at the most inopportune of time. Both Haven Queens now gone, unable to have produced another golden dragonet, and leaving only the sole adult Gold of Refuge (she and Hers currently visiting Haven) and the golden dragonet hatchling of the past clutch.
It worried Nayza, and greatly. The future existence of dragons depended on golden queens -- the only ones able to breed and produce more offspring. And already dragon numbers were low as it was, a Threadfall any time soon might spell the demise of their species... If the Holdless relentless and merciless prosecution didn't achieved it first. But why, why were the Holdless so against dragons and their riders? She'd always thought the cotholds bounded to the Weyrs here in the south had been very pro-dragons. But why were these people so enraged, perhaps even disgusted, by their existence?
A sigh escaped her lips as her mind wandered, earning the faintests of smirks in Nayza's lips as the brunette realized it. Holdless, responsible for the deaths of many (including her father and Kioth), and here she was trying to understand them and their actions -- when she had every right to just be filled with rage and disgust at even the thought of their names.
'Still... Endless hate never resolved problems, it only creates even more...'

R'kin laid there on the ground oblivious to the world and it was times like this that he looked very innocent. He kept his eyes closed and was breathing in slowly then he ended up falling asleep as the cares of the world seemed to fall away. His young dragonet ended up falling asleep to and they laid like that for a good thirty minutes when a loud noise woke them up. The young man woke up then turned around as he saw a fire lizard go by then said, "Sorry," as his dragonet was still asleep. "They require so much sleep still," said R'kin as he looked at her then got up and got dressed.
"I hope one day to get a fire lizard to they look like they'd be neat creatures," said R'kin as he went to sent on a nearby log. R'kin already had a kitten yet the young man loved animals and wouldn't mind a fire lizard that could be used to communicate with others. "What are you thinking about," asked R'kin as he looked at her and wanted to know what was going on in her head? His thoughts we're starting to wonder back to his dragonet who was happily sleeping the evening away. The young man remebered not to long ago when he would sit in his lap.

"Eh...?"
Things had suddenly quieted down quite a bit since her mind had drifted off, the brunette turning to see the weyrling and His both fast asleep. She couldn't help but giggle softly at the sight, before taking her time figuring out what to do. Finally sge decided to wait for a bit in case either woke up, Nayza thought it'd be rude if she just disappeared as they rested. Soon the weyrling was back in the real world, thanks to a pair of wild firelizards bulging not far away - the newest addition to Refuge since the weyrhall flight of that gold one owned by the Headwoman. As R'kin spoke she listened before nodding softly.
"They really are useful little darlings, but do you think it's a good idea to get one now? Krestanovith is still growing, after all, and a young dragonet requires a lot of attention - especially from Theirs." She gave a smile, scratching the sleeping bronze's eyeridge softly before standing. "They're is no need to rush really. I'm sure you'll get one, or mayve a few more, of your own when the time is right."
A look at the hirizon confirmed that it was getting rather late, before R'kin's inquiry grasped her attention once more. With a faint sigh she gave a half- hearted smile, apologizing slightly. "You'll have to forgive me, R'kin, but to be honest I rather not discuss this subject." It was much to personal, at least for Nayza, and while tge weyrling did seem nice the brunette wasn't about ti spill out all her woes in his direction.
"It's getting quite late as well... I'm afraid it's time for me to head back to tge Candidate Barracks. After all, tomorrow brings another set if chores we have to take care off." with tgat she gave a soft wave of goodbye in the male's direction, as well as an apologetic smile for suddenly heading off in such a fashion. "I wish you and Krestanovith a good night sleep, and that Faranth watches over both your dreams."
With that said and her mind made up the brunette finally made her way back to the shared room of the candidates, before R'kin could utter a protest.
