{Takes place right after Feeding Time mid/late afternoon}
On the way to the weyrbowl, Eira had finished off her cup of klah and one of the meat rolls. She had also snagged a pot of oil to use after Siath's bath. Joris was hitching a ride on top of the green's tail again on the way out there. “We'll get you washed up, oiled, and then maybe you'll be ready for a little nap?” Eira suggest lightly to Siath as they walked. ”Mmm, I don't know my Eira. I slept enough already.” Siath told her weyrling lightly. “Alright then, as long as I can get some healing scrolls to read things over well...I think I'll be happy. I want to learn as much as I can to heal you or the others just in case.” A croon left Siath hearing that. ”I knew I chosen well, you have a very good heart my Eira.” The green told her.
Smiling at Siath's words, Eira lifted Joris off of Siath's tail. The little feline meowed in protest. “Sorry Joris, but I need to bath Siath.” She told the little creature who she could of swore was sulking. Setting the pot of oil down with the last meat roll, Eira slipped off her shoes and tied up her dress like she always did. “Let's get you washed my little green.” Eira told her lifemate before getting the sands rubbed into the green hide. Siath did not need to tell Eira where to rub or if she missed a spot. The girl was always thorough with her work, be it something unimportant like making a cup of klah or something that could save someone's life. Eira simply paid attention and believed in doing something right the first time instead of having to repeat it.
While Siath dunked underwater to shake off any missed sand, Eira turned to glance at Joris who was stalking a field mouse. At least he was not getting into the pot of oil...That, would be a mess to clean up. Once Siath finished up, Eira lead her back onto dry land to let her hide dry out a little before the oiling. Siath really was a good dragon when it came to baths and being oiled, Eira was thankful for that. It meant she didn't have to worry too much about getting messy. “Let me know if I miss a spot Siath..” Eira told her dragonet gently. ”I will my Eira, I doubt you will though.” Eira smiled a little and patted her green's neck before staring to oil her. It wasn't long before all that was left was her wings.
Joris let out a muffled meow as he walked up to Eira with a mangled mouse in his mouth that was dropped at her feet. Eira blinked at the lite creature. ”I think he wants you to eat it my Eira.” Siath mentioned lightly. “...Well, it's not happening.” Eira voiced lightly before Siath rumbled and she herself laughed when Joris decided the dead mouse was a better thing to play with than to eat. “God, what is with you crazy feline?” Eira asked as she oiled Siath's wing. Joris simply meowed in response.

S’nuo landed near the lake’s edge, his shirt and riding leathers soaked with sweat. It had been a hot day for drills and A’lez had pushed them hard, but they needed to build their endurance as much as they needed to build that of their dragons. Malith too felt the day’s activities already as he waited only long enough for his rider to remove the leather harness before making his way to the cooler waters.
Dropping the leather harness where he stood, it was only a matter of moments before his riding jacket joined the pile. In short order, his boots, socks, belt knife, belt, gloves, riding helm and finally his shirt fell upon the pile as well. Beginning to untie his pants to simply swim in the nude, S’nuo hesitated as a young woman nearby caught his eye – or rather his ears as he heard the light laugh. Turning, he found the young Siath being oiled by her new rider.
Deciding that the pants should probably remain on out of decency, S’nuo retied them before moving forward and diving into the water. He was going to get wet first – and if she were still around he would make a point of seeing how the young green was growing. At this young of an age, the young weyrlings would be itching like crazy as they grow faster than their hide can keep up, causing the painful cracks in some when not oiled often enough to stretch.

Hearing the splash, Eira hadn't paid much attention. She figured it was one of the older dragons cooling off from this warm day. Still, she lightly laughed at the tunnel cat who wasn't sure whether to play with the dead mouse or eat it. He finally seemed to decide to eat the poor creature before his owner could take it away from him. Shaking her head, Eira turned slightly hearing a much smaller splash. ”I think it was that S'nuo...I seen Malith splash in just a moment okay.” “Alright then.” Eira mentioned lightly as she had Siath stretch out a wing before she started on oiling it.
“I think we should wait to talk to them if they like. Probably had drills not that long ago. We'll be having them some day soon Siath.” Eira told her off hand as the dragonet nodded. ”We need to learn to fly first my Eira.” “Of course we do, that's why we're students for now.” Smiling at her green, Eira was careful to get every nook and cranny oiled. Siath stretched out a little. “Did I miss anywhere?” ”No silly Eira, I told you I would of told you if you had.” Siath replied teasingly causing Eira to roll her eyes in an annoyed manner, even if she really wasn't. Joris meanwhile was being a silly cat and rolling around in the grass while purring away.
Raising a brow at the cat, she shook her head and looked at Siath. “Think that he wants attention?” She asked curiously. ”If he does you might as well give it to him before he makes even more of a full of himself...” Siath mentioned slowly as she watched Eira scoop the cat up. He was purring away as she slowly sat down in the tall grass. “Might as well, how long has S'nuo been under water now..?” ”I don't know, not that long I think. I think I see him surfacing now actually.” “Good...” Eira muttered more to herself than to her green.

As it were, S’nuo was surfacing and he did so with ease. Running a hand over his face to brush the water away, he was glad he kept his hair short during the summer months. It was far cooler and made swimming in the lake much less of a hassle. As he surfaced, he found the small green looking his way. Smiling, he gave a small wave before glancing over his shoulder. With Malith nowhere in sight, S’nuo decided his dragon didn’t need his attention right away.
Walking up onto the shore, his pants clung to him, but we welcomed the cool dampness for the moment. He would be sure to remove them before anything chafed, but he was in no immediate danger of that. Finding Eira sitting in the tall grass, he let himself fall back beside her. Letting out a content sigh, he closed his eyes a moment.
“Good Afternoon Eira.” He said as he lay in the grass, perfectly content with the warm breeze on his wet skin. Ah, I’ll lay here just a moment I think.

Watching him walk towards her, Eira raised a slight brow at him. Honestly she wondered if he realized just how much those pants clung to him. Oh well, who said a woman couldn't look or enjoyed said looking? ”Why are you looking at him like that?” Siath asked ”You'll figure it out when you're older Siath...Now shush and let me enjoy the view.” Eira quietly told her as she scratched behind Joris ear. She was a a little surprised to find the older, albeit handsome, man fell into the tall grass beside her.
“Good afternoon to you too S'nuo.” Eira replied with a small smile as she set Joris down. The curious feline walked over and sniffed at S'nuo curiously before licking the mans cheek. Chuckling, Eira shooed the cat. “Sorry about that, the crazy feline has a mind of his own...So tell me, how is it being the new candidate master?” She asked as Joris went back over to Siath. The warm breeze was a nice one in a way, it didn't seem often they had such a warm sunny day during the winter months. “Did you get moved into your new weyr easily enough?” Light conversation was nice. She could use with the change after the more serious conversation she had with T'mar not too long ago.

Feeling the cat sniff and lick at his cheek, S’nuo jumped as he found himself tickled. A slight intake of breath caught him as he let his left hand fall to his side to cover the unexpected sting. It did not, however, stop his laughter at the kitten and Eira’s comments about it.
“Oh the feline is alright.” He said with a smile, resting his head on his right arm while the left one remained on his side. Hearing her question about the candidate master position and his new weyr, he considered his answer for a moment.
“It’s certainly time consuming, but so far it hasn’t been difficult. I’ve only a handful of candidates left over from the last hatching and all I’ve really needed to do was assign chores. I have plans of getting them all apprenticed to keep them busy and useful around the Weyr rather than wasting their time with repetitive classes that they learned before last hatching.”

Her chuckle turned into a full blown laugh as he jumped. Joris ran to hide near Siath with S'nuo jumped though, not liking the sudden movement at all. If Siath had eyebrows to raise, she would of raised them at the cat who was 'glaring' at the human that he just licked.
Smiling at the new candidate master, Eira reached up and brushed her dark brown hair from her face as she looked at him. For a brief moment she glanced at his hand while he spoke. She would ask him about it here in a little bit, for now she was interested in hearing how the move and everything went. “That is a good idea actually. Helps in case they aren't impressed at all I'm sure. Gives them some experiences in fields they could possibly go to.” She knew if she hadn't impressed she would have a fall back with healing. Some candidates didn't have that though, especially some of the younger boys.
Frowning for a moment she looked down at his left hand. “If you don't mind me asking, can I see your hand S'nuo?” She asked him curiously. “Looks like you injured it recently and I can patch it up easily enough...”

“Hmm? My hand?” he asked, lifting his right hand from behind his head with a crooked smile. Inspecting it himself, he offered the uninjured hand to her. “It looks fine to me.” He said playfully. If she were to ask for the other one, he would offer that one to her as well, though the cut he was hiding stretched across his side, closer to the hip bone.
They had tossed full firestone bags in mid air today to practice reloading their supplies while sustaining flight and formation. Needless to say, he had been off balance for one bag and the sudden jerk had pulled him roughly against his riding straps. Apparently there had been a snag in one, which resulted in the cut. He would be sure to go over them carefully tonight and smooth out whatever snag had caught him in the incident.
“And it is always a good idea to have a fall back. Just because the candidates we choose have the potential to impress does not mean their lifemate will be among the eggs. It’s a hard fact to live with – one I’m glad I never had to, but it does still happen.”

Eira frowned at him as he shown her his right hand. The crooked little smile made her roll her eyes at him. “I'm talking about your left one.” She mentioned off hand as she gave him the 'look' that her patients she treated in the past knew. Her slightly annoyed but still wanting to help look. She didn't know that the small bit of blood she seen came from the cut at his side though, seeing as she could only see his hand from where she was sitting.
Besides that, she didn't know how he received whatever wound he was hiding either. Either way, she would patch him up given the chance. “That it is, sometimes it happens though just like sometimes wounds happen now how about showing me yours so I can patch it up and have some peace of mind.” Oh my, it was almost sounding like she was talking to a young boy not a full grown man! He was so stubborn if you were to ask her. Siath let out a soft rumble at her Eira. ”You really are eager to patch him up aren't you?” The dragonet rumbled even more as the brunette shot her a 'glare'. “Oh shush it you, I was a healer first mind you.” Eira said firmly not caring if S'nuo heard the mini and rather silly little argument her and Siath were having. “If I want to make sure someone is in their tip top form I'll do it.” Siath couldn't help the rumble that grown either and Eira snorted in annoyance before looking at S'nuo.
With that she realized she didn't use the mindspeak and felt her cheeks flushed. Oh dear lord that was embarrassing. “Sorry I just...My brain works for healing practices and I do not like the idea of knowing someone is...Hurt or anything. Even if it's just...Something small.”

Sitting up and bringing up his knees, he rested his arms on them, putting him in the perfect position to effectively block her view of his other side as he listened to half the conversation between her and the little green. A smile was spread on his lips as the girl he remembered as a child seemed to get flustered at whatever accusation the green had made. He couldn’t help to think that it was a cute side of little Eira, even if little Eira was not quite so little anymore.
Looking up at her, S’nuo enjoyed watching her cheeks warm out of embarrassment as she realized she had spoken out loud. His grin only widening, he laughed heartily despite the sting it brought to his side.
“Eira.” He said, taking a moment to school his features. Pursing his lips together, he fought another bout of laughter. “Trust your elder when he says it’s nothing. I know small things can grow quickly, look at you after all. If I didn’t know any better, I’d almost say you were a young woman now. You should be more worried about what the other riders will see when they find out standing out here in such wet clothes rather than a simple cut on a man nearly twice your age.”

To say the least, little Eira was far from being little. The young woman hadn't been little for a good chunk of time now, hell, there were girls younger than her having children of their own. Looking to him as he laughed at her embarrassment she shook her head a little. At least someone was finding amusement in her embarrassment.
That was when he said her name and her own lips pressed together as a slender brow raised at him. “So if you know small things can grow quickly, then why won't you just let me take a look at it?” She asked him lightly. “Besides, you are the one's in wet clothes, not me.” She mentioned off hand, the hem of her dress was already dry. Siath was still small enough that she didn't have to swim into the lake to make sure her little green was cleaned up and looking her best.
As she looked at S'nuo she sighed lightly as she brushed her darn hair from her face. “So what do you say? Can I just make sure you're patched up and get a little peace of mind that you won't fall over dead from some sort of infection.” A small smile managed to curl on her lips as she let out a soft chuckle. “Granted, I think you wouldn't let it get that bad. But still, be quicker than having to go all the way to the infirmary in wet clothes I'm sure.”

Hearing her light sigh as she brushed the hair away from her face, S’nuo gave in to her gentle plea. The cut was not a bad one, but if it eased her mind who would he be to keep that from her longer than necessary for a gentle tease. “I suppose a walk to the infirmary in wet clothes would be a hassle, but I still think it will be fine.”
Even as he spoke, S’nuo let himself flop back down into the grass. Stretching his legs out as his pants clung to him, he finally gave in and obediently put both hands behind his head and succeeding in giving her full access to see… well anything she really wanted to see. His well muscled arms were only shown off in that position while his bare chest and abs showed off his eight pack. Needless his pants did little to hide what lay below the waistline.
“Alright, I give in. Just be gentle with me, I’m a big baby at heart.” He said, a smile threatening to laugh again.

Eira managed to smile a little more at the fact that he was agreeing with her for the most part and she watched him stretched out on the grass. “Oh trust me, I'll be gentle.” She mentioned softly as she leaned over him to check that scratch. Her fingers lightly touching the skin near it. The smile left her face seeing as she was very serious about making sure she didn't miss something.
Of course, he was right that nothing was serious, it would just need cleaning and a light application of a balm to keep the sting down. As she pulled away, her eyes wandered a little. Just because S'nuo was almost twice her age, did not mean he was bad looking. He was fitter than some her own age and even though the wound was nothing, she at the very least got a nice view to look at.
She sighed as she leaned back and then let herself flop down into the grass. “You're right, it'll be fine. Just keep it clean and maybe use a pinky worth of numbing balm if it starts getting irritated.” Eira told him. ”You were disappointed he didn't need more healing weren't you?” Siath asked curiously. ”...A little.” Eira admitted. ”But don't tell him that!” ”Don't worry my Eira, I won't.” Thank goodness, she rather not let anyone know she was staring at the man. Those wet pants left very little to the imagination, to say the very least, he was a very handsome man to look at.
“Even though nothing was wrong, it still saved you a trip to the infirmary. And, on the bright side, less chances of chaffing.” Eira replied with a small smile playing on her lips. “Also, I'm curious, when will Siath and the others be ready to start flying? U'ski never mentioned when we'll start.” She added the last part as an after thought.

“Ah but I would not have gone to the infirmary, I simply let you have a look to rest your own mine.” He said with a slight chuckle coloring his voice. It was a very good thing he had not heard the conversation between her and the green. He would have actually found himself caught between the desire to tease the young woman for such inappropriate thoughts and needing to quickly remove himself from the situation. After all, she was not only a Weyrling, but she was an old friend who was MUCH younger than he.
Hearing her question and watching the smile play on her lips, he lifted himself up to his elbows, bring his face closer to hers sitting next to him. “Weyrlings will begin flight training around their 10th month, sometimes 11. It depends on how the class is progressing as a whole. The actual flying doesn’t usually start till they are just under a Turn old though.”
The information came easily and instantly, having helped the weyrling master for a number of turns before he was allowed to graduate simply due to his own age. He had impressed young – younger than most in fact. Because of that he had been held back in his own weyrling hood, not due to his own inability to perform tasks, but simply because he was still growing and did not have the stamina required of a fully fledged rider. He needed more time to finish maturing. Of course, that had not stopped Malith from joining in adult dragon activities…

Eira wrinkled her nose at him as he mentioned that he wouldn't of gone to the infirmary anyways. “Can't help it my mind works the way it does.” She replied with a small shrug of her shoulders. Honestly, she was glad he had not heard the conversation she had with Siath. She knew the man would tease her for her thoughts. The man was nice to look at more or less, she would of done the same for any man her own age or older if they were as fit as him. There was nothing wrong with looking was there? Besides, just because she was much younger than him, there were couples with that large of an age differences before wasn't there? Either way her thoughts were completely unknown to S'nuo.
Watching him curiously as he moved so his face was closer to her own, she nodded slightly. “That's good to know.” She replied. “Was simply curious so I can start you know...” An almost nervous laugh left her. “Get use to the idea of heights. Just sitting on the roof of a house is high enough for me and I keep pushing myself to climb a little higher. I do not want to wind up getting sick up there thank you very much.” Eira said honestly and her head turned to Siath when she heard her rumble softly. “Oh? You think it's funny to imagine me turning as green as you?” She asked and there was even a louder rumble from the dragon. ”You'll do fine my Eira!” The green told her making the young brunette laugh.
“And she, say's I'll do fine.” She commented to S'nuo. “I am completely blaming B'ren he really used to tell me some horror stories when we were kids. So cruel.” A small smile graced her lips and her tone was completely joking, she liked picking on the bronze rider from time to time. He was a good friend though, so it wasn't like anything she said was out of hatred either.
