The sun was warm as it shone on the gleaming scales of a preening Green. This Green in particular had been feeling the on coming of a Flight and had made it her solemn duty to flirt with and entice just about every male dragon she laid her multi-faceted eyes on. D'isk may be a prude about such things, but she never saw him complaining when her hide started gleaming and her body started to get warmer everyday.
With a soft and flirty trill, Kalith stood from her reclined position and stretched her long lithe body, placing it on display for the males near-by to properly admire. It was close, her Rising was just moments away, and she wanted to make an impression upon those gathered before she ever left the ground.
Purple was the only color in her eyes now, and Kalith could wait no longer. With a bellow that drew the attention even those who hadn't been watching her, Kalith launched herself over to the feeding grounds to bloody the carcass of a medium sized herd beast. She didn't want to just bloody, but D'isk was there in her head making sure she just drank. Experience had taught her that listening to him right now made everything happen sooner, so Kalith was content to merely latch on to the poor, wailing beasts throat and suck it dry.
There was no more patience left in Kalith to even try to get her to attempt bloodying another animal, and D'isk allowed his rigid control over her to slacken enough for her to powerfully launch herself up into the air and bugle her challenge to the males of the Weyr.
I am here. I am waiting. Who has the prowess to catch me?
---
D'isk had known this was coming and had remained within the sanctity of his personal weyr. His first time had occurred while he was throwing pebbles in the lake, and he didn't want a repeat of his public display. With enough sense of mind to sit down, D'isk flopped gracelessly onto his couch.
It was getting harder and harder to tell himself apart from Kalith. The fact that she had just finishing bloodying didn't help matters much either. With a shaky breath and muffled groan, D'isk lost himself completely as he was taken over by Kalith's mating urges.

D’ero knew that look. Hourth was sitting half crouched on the ledge of their weyr, the blue in his whirling eyes shifting to a darker shade of purple. The young man let out a sad sigh and got up. A flight. Oh how he hated them. He had a girlfriend who didn’t care about flights, in fact she encouraged him to do them. But he was unable to enjoy them. The total loss of control disturbed him, he didn’t like waking up and not remembering anything. The sleeping around didn’t help anything either, he was a Northerner who had who had been taught to not sleep with others when you were in a relationship. Still, there wasn’t much he could do about it. It would be unhealthy for him to fight against his dragon, and well it wouldn’t be fair to Horuth if he wasn’t allowed to go out and join a flight once in a while. The young man wandered the halls slowly, waiting for the flight to start so he would know what room to actually go to. Horuth, and probably every other male dragon in the Weyr, had known that Kalith would rise any day now. Who could miss that lovely green hide glowing? He had heard her bellow and had watched her fly to the feeding ground, giving her and D’ero a few moments before he pushed himself off his ledge and into the air, answering her cry and gliding to the feeding grounds. The brown landed as Kalith ripped out the throat of a beast and puffed himself out a bit before trilling at her. Fear not lovely Kalith, I am here and no other dragon in the Weyr is better then me. Zeuth had been dozing when the green let out her call signaling a flight. The bronze lifted his head slowly, letting out a yawn as his whirling eyes peered toward to feeding grounds. B’ren watched his dragon, a little grin on his face. “Ssooo who is it?” Kalith. “Kalith, Kalith…oh D’isk’s green what a shame… hey, hey! Wait! What, what are you doing?!” Zeuth, who was normally against flights with greens, had just pushed himself off his ledge and with a few flaps of his large wings was heading for the feeding grounds. Why, I’m going to join in the flight. Like you say, I need to do as many flights as I can so I can get better for the next gold flight. The bronze rider could hear the amusement in his dragon’s voice and scowled as he went to the ledge, shading his eyes so he could peer out and watch the large form of his dragon land near some of the other males that were gathering. You’re suppose to do flights with female riders! Not the male ones! I’m not interested in that sort of thing and you know it!B’ren huffed and folded his arms over his chest, trying to will the dragon back to him. Well, maybe this will teach you to stop forcing me into every single flight. Oh. So that’s what this was about. Well, he should have expected something like this to happen sooner or later. Zeuth was just as stubborn as he was after all. Letting out a sigh, B’ren accepted his fate and headed off towards D’isk’s weyr, wondering if Zeuth was going to put more effort into this flight just to get him back. The massive bronze landed at the feeding grounds, stretching his wings out and standing on his hind two feet for a moment to show off his impressive size. He was almost twice as long as Kalith. He never flittered with the greens, he left that sort of stuff to B’ren. This was a special occasion though. Oh sweet Kalith. You shine even more brightly and beautifully then any gold I’ve seen. That was terrible Zeuth. Terrible. If you're going to try and woo someone, ask the master before you embarrass us both.U’ski had been working on his next couple of lesson plans for the Weyrling’s when him and Toroth heard the green’s challenge. The blue dragon looked out, watching as a couple of the Weyr’s males went down to the feeding grounds to answer the call. “So who is it this time.” One of those new riders. Kalith I believe. “Well if you’re going to go you had better hurry.” The dragon was gone without another word and U’ski finished the note he was making before putting the ink and parchment off to the side. The Weyrling master got up and went to the ledge that his dragon had been occupying a few moments ago and watched the males strut around in front of the shinnying green. Toroth was no acceptation to the strutting males as he landed. He glanced at his competition, letting out a little snort. Children. Don’t listen to these young boys. You want someone with experience Kalith.

A'on was up in his weyr just relaxing and had almost fallen asleep as his blue began to move around. "Kalith rises," said Hadeth as he began to move around the weyr and looked at his rider. The rider smirked because he knew what this meant a mating flight and he knew that the rider of this green was a male. It mattered little to the blue rider because he enjoyed the experience and gave into the mating lust. "I won't fight you on this Hadeth go for it," said A'on as he smiled at him then got dressed in a white long sleeve shirt and brown leather pants. His boots we're put on as he smirked a bit then saw his dragon fly down to the pens. "I will win lovely Kalith," Hadeth as he just bugled at the others around him.
He counted three others and it made no difference to him as he looked at them. The blue had a chance because he was young and was a good flyer. Hadeth was very stubborn and would try his best to win the beautiful shimmering green. His luck with flights we're only being in two and had not won any. A'on his rider had decided long ago to enjoy the experience because it was one of the gifts of being a dragon rider.
He went outside his door then waited for the feelings of his dragon to lea him to the right place. While Hadeth was at the pens then said, "

K'dan had been sleeping soundly when the challanging bellow of dragon filled his weyr startling him awake. Sitting up he glanced over at Osirith sitting on his ledge and lashing his tail back and forth.
Who is it Osirith? Pretty Kalith, I wish to go Go if you want to but don't expect me to leave my weyr he told his blue partner. With a answering bellow Osirith launched himself into the air, giving his competition the once over before landing close to Kalith. Beautiful Kalith, ignor these old brutes, come fly with me to the stars for only I can keep up with you Osirith crooned to the shining green as she bloodied her kill.
Osirith was quick to position himself to launch when the green did. His eyes swirling purple as he waited for his chance. Back in the weyr, K'dan gave up. He got out of bed and put on a loose fitting shirt and his leather pants. Neglecting his shoes, he headed toward D’isk’s weyr. He wasn't in to this kind of thing even though it was normal here at the weyr. There were just some things that took getting used to. Oh well, maybe someday he would understand and appreciate the difference, for now, his dragons lusting was about to drive him crazy.

(OC: Late-comers are welcome to post after this one, but once I post again, I ask that no one else join. This will make it fair for the people who have been here since the beginning. Also, you don't have to post in order, but please no double posting.)
Wings catching an updraft easily, Kalith shot into the air faster than most could follow. This slight lead allowed her to look behind her and asses her turn-out. Three Blues, one Brown, and one Bronze were going to try their wings at catching her. Oh, how she would fly for them! Kalith could already see the patterns she would paint in the sky with her supple body.
Leveling out her assent, Kalith suddenly dove straight down so that she could flip back under the males. On her back, Kalith allowed her wing tips to brush against the underbellies and wings of her competition before shooting off in the opposite direction of where they were headed. The Green only stayed on this course for a moment before flapping her wings so that she could better climb higher in the sky.
The overwhelming blue of a mid-day sun burned against her bright scales and made looking at her nearly impossible as she darted to and fro in front of the blinding orb. It wasn't Kalith's original intention to blind her chasers, but there was no denying the sun made her hide gleam even brighter. Kalith wished to dazzle her pursuers as much as they wished to dazzle her.
---
Everything was just too sharding hot. D'isk hated this heat, hated how it made his skin so sensitive, yearning for the slightest touch but shying away from such gestures. Kalith had to choose. Kalith always had to choose. That was fine, but why did she have to take so long.
D'isk arched his back off the bed when he felt the hides of his Kalith's chasers brush his wings. No, he didn't have wings, did he? Where did he feel that sensation? He had felt it. It was making him eager, excited. He waned to tease before he was caught.
Somewhere in the back of his mind, D'isk's body was trying to tell him that he felt sheets and pants, not the wind whipping past his head, whistling in his ears, and caressing his hot scales. His body was telling him that he was a man and not a dragon, but his mind was not listening.

The second Kalith took off Osirith was ready. He launched himself after her with powerful wing strokes. Being a bit on the small side would be his advantage here, but the stamina if it lasted too long would do him in. He was gaining on the shining green when she flipped over and headed back down. He bellowed in excitement when she grazed his belly and wing with her own.
Flipping himself back around he darted after Kalith, dodging the other suiters deftly. Osirith folded his wings back to increase his speed, snapping them back out to slow his decent, he waited to see what the lovely green had planned for her next move. It was hard to see her at times because of the suns angle, he didn't care, he would do his best to catch her.
K'dan found Disk's rooms just as the rider arched his back, he felt the touch on his skin as if Kalith had caressed him instead of his Osirith. Echoing his dragons roar, K'dan slid down the wall next to the bed. He didn't think Osirith could actually catch the green but one never knew. He silently urged His little blue on faster, encouraging him to watch out for sudden tricks and turns like the last one. K'dan totally lost himself in the chase and the feelings he was sharing with His. One way or the other, he was going to need a good bath and some soap sand time when this was finished.

Hadeth was in the air going after the green then bugled as she seemed to touch another blue then she went into the sun. He looked at her then pumped his wings and was soon after her even though the sun was blinding him. The blue was flying higher though seemed lost for a moment meanwhile back in the hallways of the weyr A'on was suddenly blinded as he held a hand up to his face. While he couldn't believe that he was being blinded by a imaginary sun it had to be Hadeth. His back slide down a wall as he was outside a room yet he was unfocused due to the sun.
The blue dragon moved his head then soon was after Kalith and wasn't thinking of anything else. He would have the beautiful green as he bugled and kept after her. A prize to be had the beautiful green would be his and he kept pumping his wings to try to catch her. While his rider got himself together though leaned against the wall for support and he looked around. His dragon was pushing him more and more then hoped that this mating flight would be over soon.

Aside from the massive bronze, the other males were all fairly equal in size. Horuth couldn’t help but feel confident about his chances. He was small and slim enough to still be able to make the quick turns and tight loops and rolls that greens liked, but still have the stamina to last the whole flight without worry. The brown coo’ed at her, hoping to get her favor before she took to the sky. As soon as Kalith took the air, Horuth crouched down and pushed himself off, his wings flapping hard as he worked to gain air as quickly as he could. He was just behind some of the blues but his larger wings made it easy for him to keep up with them. Of course keeping up with the green was a little harder. She suddenly changed directions and came right at them, her wing tip brushing against him. Horuth ignored the fact that she had grazed all the males and took it as a good sign for himself. The brown made his own quick turn and shot up into the sky after the green. His darker face made it so the sun didn’t reflect right back into his eyes but that didn’t help much when they were forced to fly right into the sky. Still, the sun made Kalith sparkle and shine even more, making Horuth wish he could appreciate the view a little more. He pushed himself harder, trying to catch up a little more with Kalith, or at least pass his competition. D’ero made it to D’isk’s weyr, though he was unaware of that fact. There was no D’ero, only Horuth. He had felt the brush of wing against him, could feel the air whipping past him as he climbed higher into the sky and was forced to squint from the brightness of the sun. He couldn’t feel the cool stones under his hands as he sat on the floor of D’isk’s weyr and sweat beaded on his brow as if he were the one flying under a hot sun. Take offs were never Zeuth’s strong point. He was a big, slow dragon compared to these little browns and blues. His larger wing span made it easier for him to gain some altitude and keep up a little with the smaller and faster green, though he was still at the back of the pack. Still, he was keeping a respectable pace, even gaining on the other males. Until Kalith made a sharp turn and came right at them. When it came to flights for golds against other bronze dragons, Zeuth had a respectable speed. Against a green, he was slow as a rock. Still, the touch of her wing against his belly gave him some encouragement. While the other dragons all made sharp turns to follow her directly, Zeuth kept moving higher into the air. He wouldn’t be able to keep up if he followed every little turn she made but he would have a better chance if he could get higher then all of them and dive down after her. Once he could build up some speed things would be a little easier for him. Maybe. Zeuth was rather pleased with himself as Kalith once again started to climb into the sky, the sun blinding all the dragons behind her. He was slightly higher then her when he let out a bugle and dove toward her. His flight made a V shape as he first went down to gain speed before making as sharp a turn as he could and using his speed to help get himself up higher. For a moment he passed the other males and was right behind the green before all of them started to out pace him again. B’ren had found the correct weyr and while he could feel Zeuth’s flight lust, he managed to distance himself from it a bit. Oh it was hard, the touch on Zeuth’s stomach had made the young man shudder but he forced himself to remember who he was and where he was. He leaned against a wall near Kalith’s ledge, giving himself a view of the flight. Soon he wouldn’t be able to keep his wits about himself but for now he was able to help his bronze, keeping track of the other dragons and giving the slow dragon ideas on how to make up for his lack of speed. Toroth took off just as quickly as the other dragons, well faster then the bronze. The start of the flight was going to be tight, not counting the bronze, which Toroth was already writing out since he didn’t see such a large dragon having much of a chance. The blue saw the flight going to the dragon who was the most daring and could do something to catch Kalith’s attention. As soon as Kalith’s wing had left his body, the blue dipped down under all the males and did a sharp turn after her. His wings beat hard as he worked to catch up with her and gain a little distance on the other dragons. They soared up into the air, the bight sun bringing the blue out in his hide as it made Kalith’s already glowing hide look even brighter. Toroth was even slightly impressed as the bronze came out of no where, taking the lead for a few short seconds before he started to fall behind again. It was a nice try though not good enough for Toroth to take him seriously. Seventeen turns of flights had taught U’ski how to deal with the flight lust. It had also taught him to not be bothered about who was on the other side of a flight. He had entered D’isk’s weyr knowing he was going to be at least ten turns older then anyone else there. Still, while the other males were young and brash, he and Toroth had years of experiences under the belts. They both knew how to accept the wins and loses of a flight.

(OC: The winner has been PM'ed. I hope you enjoyed the Flight.)
Kalith could feel the pull of fatigue and overwhelming heat of desire. She could only hope that her show had impressed and dazzled the males that had both honored and flattered her with their presence in the chase. It was the only way a Green could make up for the fact that she could only choose one. Kalith wasn't like a Gold, she would mate with all of the male if she had the stamina and ability, but alas, she would have to be caught.
Spreading her wings out to their full span, Kalith came to the peak of her assent and hovered there up right and on display. Her hide caught the light of the sun on her back, and her front took on a shadowed and mysteriously alluring look. It only lasted a moment because gravity gripped her shining body tight in it's inescapable claws, and she fell, a twisting mass of wings, tail, and limbs. Writhing mid-air, Kalith fell like the ancient thread, loose and without direction or purpose.
Only after she had fallen a good distance did the Green snap her wings open and surge upwards on an updraft of rising air. It tickled her hide, and she flipped over. Kalith's back was to the ground and her belly was presented to the males behind her. She was going to watch them fight for her in this last stretch. She wanted to see the male worthy of her Flight as he overtook her, captured her, and clutched her to his hot hide.
Flicking her tail in a very come hither gesture, Kalith let out her final bugle, allowing it to drop to a soft croon towards the end.
---
Rolling over, D'isk allowed his eyes to sweep over the men who had gathered in his weyr. All of them where there to claim him, but which one would gain him as their prize? Swallowing, D'isk groaned. He could feel Kalith lagging and her muscles burning. There wasn't much time left, thank the first egg.
D'isk returned to his position on his back. Like Kalith, he wanted to watch this man who would be dominating him approach. His eyes were burning with the same intensity of his Green's, and D'isk was not above the thought of his own skin glowing just as brightly as his beauty's.
His tail flicked enticingly, (or was that Kalith's?) and D'isk spread his arms in a mirror movement of Kalith's outstretched wings. Unlike Kalith though, D'isk could speek.
"So what are you waiting for? Come and get me."

Though he once again lagged behind the other males, Zeuth continued to push himself hard after the green. While others were starting to get tried, Zeuth knew he could continue like this for days on end. If only Kalith could do that, then he would be sure to win. And she couldn’t. Even now he could see her spreading her wings and holding them open, the sun glittering off her hide before she fell. This was a fall too, not a dive that Kalith would just pull out of.
The other males all seemed to pause for a moment as they wondered if this was it or not, if Kalith was going to let one of them catch her. Zeuth was already diving down, far ahead of the others since he had already been left in the dust by them. Had he been even with the other, smaller dragons, he would have been left behind once again. Their smaller forms were better at diving and gaining speed. But he had a head start on them and even as they got closer they were too far behind to catch up. Zeuth let out a bugle of his own as he opened his wings, slowing a little before he gently grasped her with his claws, pulling the small green close to him, tails entwining as he won the flight.
By the end of the flight, B’ren had given himself into the lust that poured off his dragon. Oh there was that little nagging voice in his mind but it was easy to ignore. This was a flight and he/Zeuth was going to win. B’ren couldn’t help but laugh outloud as it became clear that he was going to win. All because he was big and slow next to those little blues and brown.
Blue eyes looked up and locked onto his prize. He ignored the other males, only watching the glowing green hide/pink skin of what he could now claim. Regaining his feet, B’ren went to the bed where D’isk waited for him. A ferious, predatory grin was on his face as he look at what was his now. He didn’t even wait for the others to finish filing out of the room before he bit down on the crock of D’isk’s neck and shoulder, nothing too hard but enough that there would still be a mark there the next morning.
