R'kin was watching the others as he took a spot next to a pot then listened to the weyrling master. He smiled at the others and then watched as the blue and green dragons seemed to go first. The bronze weyrling rider said, "Go, on Krestanovith," as he watched the bronze dragnet go into the water and then went under already enjoying the swim. "Feels good," said Krestanovith as he splashed his bonded and R'kin was soaking wet. "Krestanovith," said R'kin as he looked at his bronze then got a brush and some sand then began to clean the dragnet. The dragnet was bigger then the other dragnets and it started to get to him as he saw that others we're having a easier time of it.
He started with the head then paid extra attention around the eyes not to scrub to hard and worked his way down the neck. When he started at the back area he heard his bronze say, ""Ahh you missed a spot," as his rider began to scrub harder at the skin. The rider then went down each leg as he got feelings of contentment from his dragnet and he smiled. It was hard to believe that his little bronze already looked bigger then yesterday and imagined what he would be like full grown. A huge bronze flying the skys and he daydreamed as he did his bonded tail.
""Pay attention," said Kristan as he ordered as his rider swatted his back side and then when he was done. He was thankful for the cold water because he could have swore that he broke a sweat. The rider smiled as he said, "Stupid overgrown lizard," then was done as he washed his hands. His dragon was done then he said, "Dive and get some of the sand off," as the bronze dove then came back up. "All done," said R'kin affectionately as the two of them went back up to the oiling pot and waited for the next set of directions to began. It was a great deed and would take some getting used too.

K'len and Rhyseth went over to the oil pot when he was directed to take the spot. He looked around to see who was already there and noticed that quite a few had already gotten there. He watched as the rest arrived. He carefully matched names with faces and dragon trying to remember everyones name.
He listened carefully to the directions. He also watched carefully as the weyrling Master demonstrated how to wash the dragons. He wondered if the scrubbing could hurt they young dragons but he figured that maybe the skin was tougher then he originally thought.
K'len carefully followed the others into the water. He got at a good depth not to shallow but not to deep to wash rhyseth in. He smiled over at G'off and T'mar as he took a spot a little bit away from them. K'len carefully scooped up a handful of sand and started to scrub down Rhyseth. He followed the same path as the weyrling Master. "So how does that feel Rhyseth. " He asked softly. Feels good mine really good. K'len smiled.

"Come on then, Mnemoth" J'von said as he headed over to the lake and thought of U'ski's instructions. Having to get up early might be a bit of a bother, but if it was for Mnemoth then he could handle it. Mnemoth glanced at the water before wading in slightly and submerging himself with a little splash. Luckily, J'von wasn't close enough to get wet from it, but he headed into the water right after his dragon and was soon wet enough anyways. "Alright Mnemoth, we need to get you clean." U'ski gave them a demonstration on how to wash their dragons. J'von watched him closely at first, but Mnemoth butted his head up against him. Come on, then, you are supposed to wash Mnemoth.
All right J'von replied with a smile before he bent down and began to wash Mnemoth, trying to copy what he had seen U'ski doing. He certainly didn't want to get this wrong, and he didn't want to be unthorough either. All sorts of bad things could happen to your dragon if you didn't take care of him properly. J'von was going to do everything he could to keep Mnemoth healthy. Washing the dragon wasn't quite as hard as J'von had been afraid it was going to be, what with all the importance placed on it, but he still enjoyed doing it all the same. And he was going to be doing it a lot more now. Everyday would constitute of washing Mnemoth, at least until the dragon had finished growing. I enjoy this, J'von. Do not get lazy when Mnemoth gets bigger.
"Don't worry, I won't," he assured the dragon. "It'll just mean more scrubbing when you're bigger, and what better way to kill time?" After all, Mnemoth was his life now. There was nothing more important than taking care of the dragon. For the next two Turns, he would be under intense observation, and be expected to do everything to care for his dragon. Luckily, it was off to a good start. J'von wasn't overly worried about the changes in his life that Impressing were going to cause. After all, he had gone through all the trials of being a Candidate for this, and it would be impossible to back out now, even if he wanted too.

Marlaey and Elynth
After watching U'ski's demonstration several times Marlaey felt confident enough to give it a go herself. She smiled at Elynth and began to wade out into the lake, Come on, lets got started! Elynth sniffed at the water, getting her nose wet and shuffling quite a bit. Hmm... Well if my clutchmates can do it, so can I, she said, glancing around at the other weyrlings. She stepped into the water and waded out to her rider who was nearly waste deep by now. Oh! It feels so strange! I'm light as a feather! she exclaimed, wriggling in delight. In water she didn't feel as clumsy and this made her extremely happy. But there was a reason they were there and Elynth was quick to remind Marlaey about it. I itch all over now Love. Taking a large portion of the sweet sand they'd been given Marlaey began to scrub her dragon clean. It was hard work. Elynth was much larger than the other dragonets and by the time Marlaey was nearly finished her arms felt like they were going to drop off.
She scrubbed the back of the gold's neck, noticing that no matter how hard she did it Elynth found it pleasurable. It's good to feel clean again, and you barely missed any spots! Marlaey smiled. Go on then, duck and rinse. Elynth trilled happily, submerging her head and swimming awkwardly around her rider. Once she surfaced all of the sand had been washed away. That was fun! She was careful not to splash Hers as they made their way bck to the shore. That is, until they reached the shallows. With a mischievous chirp Elynth's tail whipped across the water, nearly drowning Marlaey in a wave of it! She rumbled with draconic laughter as Marlaey sputtered and splashed about. "I'm gona get you for this you over grown fire lizard!" Marlaey laughed.
Now to get to the oiling I think. They sat beside their pot, waiting for further instruction, Marlaey dripping wet and Elynth looking quiyte pleased with herself.
P'lel and Revyketh
After one demonstration of how to clean a dragon P'lel was pretty sure he could do it, but he waited until U'ski said they could all go before stepping out into the water. Revyketh bounded in behind him, eager to see what water felt like. He jumped around, splashing anyone who was remotely near them, P'lel! This is great! It's so.... Wet! Completely drenched and laughing loudly, P'lel couldn't help but join in a little with his partner. Why shouldn't he loosen up a little once in awhile? He was a dragonrider now after all! Nothing could be better than this! Revyketh hummed with delight at his rider, pleased that he was starting to see the more fun side of life.
Quelling their antics quickly, P'lel started rubbing sweet sand onto Rev's hide. They didn't want to get into too much trouble this early on! Oh oh oh! Over to the left! No no, my left! Yes, right there... Revyketh crooned as P'lel scrathed the right spot with the brush. He stretched out his legs one by one for his rider to reach and then each of his wings, humming happily all the while. I like this washing idea, he commented, It feels really good. "For you maybe," P'lel said through gritted teeth, he was working on a particularly tough spot between Revyketh's shoulder blades. "There! You're all done. Time to rinse!"
Rev dived under the water, only remembering at the last second to hold his breath. He loved the freedom the water gave him, floating around His and splashing with his tail. Once rinsed they made their way back to their little pot of oil and stood waiting for U'ski to show them what to do next. P'lel couldn't stop grinning.
J'red and Naioth
J'red paid close attention to everything the weyrlingmaster showed them and still didn't feel comfortable doing it by himself. He nervously coaxed Naioth into the water and stood there himself, sweet sand in hand, worried he might make a mistake. It's scrubbing! You'll do great Mine, don't worry. Reassured by her confidence in him he began to scrub as hard as he could, grateful she wasn't any larger. He dreaded to think what it would be like to have to clean a bronze!
Naioth crooned as he scrubbed a particularly itchy spot along her flank. It feels so good! And I like how the water moves around us, it's really nice.. He smiled at her, she was so... pleasant! And she seemed to suit the water with her long serpentine body.
When they were finished and Naioth had had some fun swimming around a bit, they both stood back beside their pot, happy that it went well.

Washing. These people needed help with washing. Sorlen watched the other weyrlings more then he watched the Master, the looking on his face clearly saying that he thought everyone there was an idiot if they all needed to be told how to wash something. Still, after letting out a sigh, Sorlen followed them into the water, less because he wanted to and more because he knew the look that Fenrith was getting on his face. The dragon seemed to have a fondness for biting, which would have been fine with Sorlen if it wasn’t him the dragon liked to chew on. If you were less of a brat I wouldn’t have to bite you. “…did you just call me a brat? Even my twelve year old sister can come up with worse things to call me.” The Holdless man gave everyone who looked at him oddly a dirty look, wishing he could threaten them without getting into trouble. Taking the scrubber and sand, Sorlen started washing and scrubbing some of the dry spots on Fenrith’s hide. You’re going to need to do it harder then that S’len. I can barely feel it. Grumbling, Sorlen scrubbed harder and started the argument that they had already had five times already. “Stop calling me S’len. I’m not a stupid rider.” I believe me Impressing you makes you a rider. And you’re pretty stupid from what I’ve seen so far S’len. He could hear the cheeky grin in the dragon’s voice and gritted his teeth together, trying not to let the dragon provoke him. Stupid dragon. Z’ten watched U’ski demonstrate how to wash the dragons before he took the brush and sand to Deynzith’s green hide. He already knew what he was doing, he had been suckered into helping his brother when he first got his green and then had been more willing to help all of his siblings out on nicer days. He was careful as he washed her wings, not wanting to accidently hurt her or damage them. Deynzith was loving the water, cooing happily as she twisted in the water to give Z’ten a new area to scrub clean. She thought she had been such a dainty little thing on land, but in the water she was ten times more graceful. She ducked under the water when Z’ten requested it, washing the sands off her hide and came back to the surface of the lake with barely a ripple. Oh Z’tenMine, we’re going to have to do this every day. Even when I stop growing. This is much to fun! And don’t I look so pretty in the water? Z’ten laughed a little and gave his green a kiss on nose before taking the sand in hand again and rubbing at the more stubborn spots on her hide. “Of course sweetling, we’ll come every day if you want. Multiple times even. “ U’ski was pleased to see everyone was taking this seriously. Well almost everyone. That was better then he had hoped for really. While washing a dragon wasn’t hard, these were newly hatched babies. If they weren’t careful and got too careless it would be easy to injure a wing or rub them raw in places. The blue rider walked between the Weyrlings, keeping an eye on them and pointing out any little flaws he noticed. Once he was satisfied that they had all properly scrubbed and washed their dragons, U’ski called them all back to the shore. All the pots had been arranged so the Weyrlings would have a clear view of Toroth for this part. “You all did a good job with the washing. Now comes the oiling. While the dragons are young and growing you’ll want to make sure you do this after every wash. When they’re full grown it’s not as vital to do it after every wash but your dragon will still probably want it after most of them.” Picking up the jar, it took U’ski a little bit of effort to get it open with only one hand. Once it was opened, he dipped a hand in and started to rub it over Toroth’s chest. “You’ll probably get a little messy these first couple of times as you and your dragon figure out the best way to do this. Especially since many of the dragons might get a little antsy as they’ll want you to hit the itchy spots first.”

Washing dragonets took longer than G’off had expected. He was very focused as he scrubbed at patches Danuth claimed were itchy. Although he might seem to be rude by not acknowledging either T’mar or K’len it was unintentionally done. He was much too focused on scrubbing to notice much else. That was until he finally finished. He took a moment although he was not sure why he would do such a thing, and scratched the dragonet’s eyeridges.
G’off took this as an opportunity to wait outside of the water. He was dripping water everywhere he walked. At any moment he feared his pants might slide off of his slight form. Danuth chatted with his twin a moment, The water was very nice. I do like scrubbing also. Wonder what we will be doing now?Even as the blue asked his brother they were being called to attention by the Weyrling Master.
They were going to oil the dragons which despite the deftly handled instruction by the Weyrling Master, was going to be quite difficult and messy. And I thought scrubbing was exhausting. All dragons get oiled so it can’t be that hard to do. The blue was now out of the water, standing next to his rider. Here goes nothing.
He picked up the container that held the oil, took the lid off and scooped out some of the oil. G’off started with Danuth’s head, making sure not to get anything in the dragon’s eyes. He would work his way down the dragon’s neck, to his chest, front legs and eventually up to his shoulders.

Mnemoth was looking forward to the next part. Washing was fine and all, but he was beginning to feel quite itchy, and he wanted J'von to fix that right now. J'von had headed out of the lake when U'ski called them to, glad that he wasn't doing too poorly. Sure, he could have done better, but it was his first time washing a dragon, and it had gone rather well. There would plenty of other times after this. He stood with Mnemoth next to their pot and watched as U'ski oiled Toroth. Mnemoth wanted to get started on himself right then, but J'von waited to watch U'ski for a bit. It wouldn't do to get this part wrong. Mnemoth pushed at J'von imploringly. Come on then, J'von. Try it out on Mnemoth. He is very eager for the itches to go away.
"All right you silly dragon," J'von said with an exasperated sigh as he looked away and opened up his own pot, using both hands and making sure not to tip it over when he did so. He dipped his hand in carefully, turning his head away to try and avoid the smell of the oil, which had started to creep up on him, but he felt it on his hand. It wasn't quite the same as water, and it certainly smelled much more strongly. Oiling was definitely not going to be J'von's favorite part of the day. He took his hand back out carefully and rubbed it on Mnemoth's neck first. The Brown dragon happily lifted his head up to make it easier. Get my head, J'von, and then my legs, perhaps.
It certainly wasn't an easy task, having to continually dump his hand in the oil and then try and rub exactly where Mnemoth wanted it rubbed. The dragon kept moving to try and get him in the right spot, and J'von almost fell down a couple of times. "If you keep doing that, you aren't going to get oiled very well," he told the dragon. If you say so the dragon said indifferently, but he did stop moving, only to make up for it by telling J'von quite persistently where it was that it itched the most. It was at this point that J'von almost envied some of the people with smaller dragons. Mnemoth was the third largest dragon in the clutch, which meant only two other people had more dragon to oil than he did. Luckily, he soon got into the rhythm of it, and he figured out which of Mnemoth's comments were actually important to the task at hand. Soon he was getting to the last parts that Mnemoth was asking him to oil. Having to do this everyday was not going to be fun; J'von could tell already.

Marlaey and Elynth
Standing at the edge of the river beside their pot, both Marlaey and her queen watched as U'ski demonstrated how to oil a dragon. Toroth was a good model. Elynth curled and uncurled her tail in impatience, My shoulders are so itchy MarlaeyLove, I really need you to start there. Obligingly Marlaey dipped her hand into the smooth oil and spread it along her dragon's back. She began massaging it into her hide, making the gold shimmer beautifully. It is wonderful to know you think I am beautiful Mine, thank you, she said wrapping her tail around her rider. Marlaey chuckled and continued, Of course I do! How could I not? Oh, how does this feel, any better? Much.
The golden hatchling hummed quietly as Marlaey worked hard, rubbing every inch of her down. She didn't want to miss anywhere for fear of the bad repercussions she'd learned in her candidate lessons. Elynth was a great help, able to point her in the right direction and guide her if she missed a spot. All in all it went quite well. She'd started with her shoulder blades and moved gently along her back and down her legs, before oiling the length of her tail, her delicate wings and finally her head, which she cupped in her hands happily. Elynth chirped, pleased.
P'lel and Revyketh
Rev was eager for the oiling to begin asap. He nudged and nosed his partner throughout the demonstration, his tail flicking back and forth. Lets's go P'lel! I'm itchy and waiting too long! P''lel slapped Revykeths hide playfully, "Alright you great big fire lizard, I'm going! Oh, speaking of which.." He looked to the bronze flit on his shoulder, "Kialio? Care to help?" With a reluctant chirp, Kialio jumped off P'lel's shoulder and took his position on the rim of the pot of oil. "That's a good lad! Don't worry, you two will be the best of friends in no time!"
With Kialio's help, P'lel was pleased to see that they got through the work quicker than if he'd been on his own. The fact that his brown was quite small also made things a little easier. He smoothed his hands along Rev's flank while his bronze took care of the brown's tail. Together they finished happily and stood there, completely covered in oil, P'lel laughing at the state of his flit. "Looks like you got your oiling done this way too!"
J'red and Naioth
Naioth slithered out of the water reluctantly and positioned herself beside the oil pot. She extended a wing for her rider once the instructions had been given and said, Let's get the most awkward bit out of the way first. Nodding in agreement J'red cupped his hands in the oil and splashed a fair amount onto her wing. She jumped and bugled Too much! Be careful Mine! Oh no... I've splashed you.. I'm sorry! J'red had gotten a fright when his green had jumped so violently, he'd thought he hurt her! But relief flooded through him when he realised he'd just used a little too much oil. He smiled and started again, gently running his hands over the delicate membrane.
She was a petite little green, if very long in parts, so he was finished sooner than those with larger dragons. Scratching her eyeridges he smiled at her, I'm sure I'll get better at this!
You did wonderful Mine.

"I itch," said Krestanovith as he looked at his rider and R'kin watching paying attention to the directions. He looked at his bronze then said, "Patience you overgrown fire lizard," as he smacked the dragnet's hide. The bronze smacked R'kin back playfully and he smiled at him for another moment before he dipped his hands in the oil. It was a pleasant task for the young man as he looked at his dragon then started at the head then would work himself down. His progress was slow as he massaged the oil into the hide for fear of it not being good. "Hmm," said Krestanovith as he was being very mellow and was enjoying being rubbed down.
The rider continued to the shoulders and then continued on wards to the back area. His bronze was starting to glitter and he smiled at this it meant that it would work out well. Krestanovith was in pure heaven as he just laid there letting his rider do the work then he felt his rider work over the tail and then delicately went over the wings. The wings we're the most difficult part because they we're so young and he had to be careful. When he had gotten to the under belly he could have swore that he heard a dragnet purr if it was possible then to the feet. "Good we're done," said R'kin tired as he looked at his dragnet that seemed to glimmer in the sun and just smiled at him.

K'len slowly led rhyseth out of the water. She had been verbally complaining in his head about the itching. So he had scrubbed her good from head to toes making sure to get every inch of her. He knew that the next step oiling would help greatly with the problem of itching. He wondered just how fast her and the others were gonna grow and how long it would take her to get to full size. He knew that she seemed bigger then most of the greens So he hoped that was a good thing. Granted that means there was gonna be more for him to wash as she got bigger and a lot more to oil.
He moved over to the oil pot and scooped out a generous amount and started to rub it in stating at her head and working back toward her tail. He was getting quite messy as this was the first time he'd oiled a dragon and he probably was using a bit to much but then it after all was the first time he tried it so he knew he would get better at it as he figured out what he was doing.
Rhyseth's mindvoice was amused in his headI think you are getting more on you then me. You should be more careful. don't forget the end of my tail and my shoulder itches. no not there higher oh yes thats it right there. K'len chuckled he found that Rhyseth wasn't afraid to tell him just what she wanted and when.

Waiting for the others to get to their oiling pots was not much of a wait, Eira was patient enough and it did give time for Siath to dry out from the water. It also gave her time to ring out the very edges of her skirt and to slip her shoes back on. Nodding at U'ski's words she rolled up her sleeves before picking up the pot of oil and carefully started rubbing it into Siath's hide. ”This feels nice My Eira. Do you oil after bathing too?” The dragonet asked curiously. ”Sometimes if it's before something special but, besides that? No.” Eira thought as she carefully put some of the oil on Siath's snout, she did not want to get any of the oil in the green's eyes naturally.
Siath was soon almost completely oiled, Eira had saved the wings for last. ”Do you need me to stretch my wings?” The dragonet asked curiously. “Please Siath.” Eira replied. “And be careful too.” She did not want to be knocked over thank you very much. Stepping to the side, she smiled at the green before slowly and carefully started to oil the delicate wings. “I'm not being too rough am I?” The young woman asked. ”No, you're doing fine. You're ever so gently my Eira.” Siath told her weyrling before the girl started on the second wing. Once in a while, a drop of oil escaped her hands and ran down the length of her arm. To say the least, Eira was being careful to not get too messy as well as to not harm Siath while oiling her.
Once she was done Eira smiled at Siath as the dragonet stretched out a little. ”I'm no longer itchy!” The green said cheerfully. “Good, I would hate for you to still be itchy after that.” Eira told her as she rubbed some of the excess oil on her hands into her own skin. Looking towards U'ski, she wondered if this was the end of the lesson or if there was still more to learn.

Sorlen was tempted to just throw the whole pot of oil onto Fenrith and call it good. The blue didn’t care for that idea though and showed his distaste with a low, rumbling growl. The young man scowled right back at his dragon, folding his arms over his chest as the two had a staring contest. It was a battle of wills, seeing who would give up first. And as always, Sorlen was forced to admit defeat first. It didn’t help that Fenrith was able to make him feel itchy. The young Holdless man scratched at his neck before dipping his hand into the pot and getting a good handful of the oil before sloping it on the back of the dragon’s neck. You’re going to end up covered in oil if you keep doing it like that. Plus, you’re not even getting the right spots. I hope you’re not this bad at everything. Sorlen clenched his fist and barely stopped himself from growling at his dragon. Fenrith just found it amusing and chuckled softly in his mind. Nothing to say? This must be a first for you. Poor S’len. And here I thought you Holdless were suppose to be thick skinned and smarter then the rest of us. Fear not S’len, even you can be taught the basics. “I hate you.” The dragon let out a snort and turned, spreading his wings so Sorlen could oil parts of them. If that were true do you think I would have picked you? Out of everyone on the sands and in the stands. And if you really think that S’lenMine, then you really are the biggest dimglow ever seen. Z’ten had been more then happy to get out of the chilly water and back onto dry ground. He grinned a little as Denyzith tried to find a dainty way to shake water off her hide before realizing there was no lady-like way to do it. He could feel the green pouting in his mind before she finally shook herself off. Getting a little drier was more important. Both dragon and boy watched how they should put the oil on before getting started. Oiling a dragon didn’t seem like it would be so hard if the dragon stayed still. Denyzith didn’t want to stay still though. First she watched him to get that itchy patch of skin on her side, then she wanted him to take care of her front before changing her mind half way through that instead he should really get her back. Z’ten was whacked by wing and tail and a foot as she moved around, still not use to her size. By the time Z’ten was done oiling Denyzith, he was fairly oiled up as well. Well. At least he didn’t have to worry about drying out either now Still, the mess was worth it just for Denyzith’s gleeful giggle. The green kept wandering over to the water, wanting to see her reflection and admire just how shiny and pretty she was after being oiled. Z’ten tried hard not to stroke her ego too much but it was hard not to. He found her quite lovely to look at. All the Weyrlings quickly got to work caring for their dragons. He watched them all as he stayed next to his blue, figuring they wouldn’t have too many problems with this part of the lesson. If they missed a spot they’d find out pretty quickly from their dragons. Once they started looking their dragons over for those last patches they might have missed, U’ski spoke loudly so he would be heard by all of them. “Most of you seem to be finish up now and we’ve still got some time left in class. Does anyone have any questions so far?” He gave them a moment but didn’t expect much, this was an easy lesson. “Now, we’ll take a little time to talk about the link you and your dragons share. Dragons are telepathic as you all know by now. You can speak to them verbally or in your mind. You’re dragons will also be able to pick up on your emotions and any random thoughts you have that aren’t directed at them. The bond between you and your dragon will take some getting use to, while some of you are going to have no problems with each other, others of you will probably butt heads a little more often. Dragons have wills and wants of their own, you’re going to have to learn to help control those. Each dragon is different, just like all of you are different. Just give yourselves time to get use to everything that’s new and realize that your dragon picked you for a reason.”

Danuth was glad when they were done. It feels so good! G’off shook his head and put the oiling utensils away much as he had found them. The Weyrling Master called them to attention now that a good majority of the Weyrlings were done. He found himself listening to the man and without realizing it felt he had something to learn from the dragonrider.
G’off had questions. Oh boy did he have questions. Mostly they pertained to his bond with Danuth and Petroth. He and T’mar had the same issues. Danuth could hear what T’mar was thinking and feeling especially when they were strong thoughts or feelings. Petroth too could feel G’off’s. He was hoping that perhaps this was not a unique situation. Surely in all the records the Weyr had there had to be at least something about this.
After a long pause between U’ski’s speech, G’off spoke up. His voice was soft at first but grew in volume as he built some confidence. “I have a question. Have there ever been twin dragons before? I ask because the bond between Danuth and Petroth is a bit hard to grasp especially for me having not grown up here. Is there anything we could read or learn that could help us to guard thoughts or feelings against the other boy’s dragon or are we stuck knowing that our thoughts and feelings belong to both Petroth and Danuth and vice versa?”
G’off felt all their eyes on him but he did not grow red in the face. He was allowed to be curious as much as they were. Who were they to judge him so swiftly? Danuth did not like the way they all stared, it upset him. So the blue came closer to his bonded and nudged his shoulder gently. They’ll come around eventually Danuth. I’m not saying I’m a good person, but I’ve never killed anyone. Thieving here and there yes and of course I was sent here on some lame mission to spy on the Weyr. As if that were even plausible without getting caught. They can all have a good long hate and then realize they are stuck with me nonetheless.

Once Petroth was done playing in the water T'mar checked to make sure he had gotten all the sand off. They both walked back up onto the beach and waited further instructions. It was a good thing they came quickly, Petroth was complaining about itching, and the more he itched the more T'mar itched. It didn't help that he could also hear and feel, could he really feel Danuth's discomfort or was he imagining it? It really didn't matter, it was getting very hard to stand still and not scratch.
Please T'marmine fix it NOW I ITCH!I know Pet, hang on until we get the ok, I want to make sure I do it right he told the little blue affectionally while he scratched a itchy spot on hes eye ridges. ummmmmm that feels sooooooooo goooooooood Pet purred.
T'mar was grateful when he was given the ok to oil his Pet. He carefully opened the oil container and dipped his fingers in to grab just enough to oil the itchy eye ridges. Petroth closed his eyes in pleasure humming softly as the oil was applied. The little blue offered all the major itchy places first then stood patiently while the rest of him got oiled. When they were done T'mar was exhausted but grateful the insistant itching had stopped, even if it was tempory.
T'mar put the lid back on his oil pot then listened again as the weyrlingmaster started talking. When G'off asked his question about the twins and if there was something they could do about not hearing them, T'mar found that he was interested too so he listened carefully, nodding as he looked from G'off back to the weyrlingmaster. You don't wish to hear us both T'marmine? Petroth asked as he leaned into T'mar for comfort. Yes my handsom Pet, I like hearing you both. It was kind of scary at first, this is my first time hearing a dragon of any kind talk you know. I think its a very special gift to be able to hear you. Danuth, please do not go away, I welcome your mind talk. T'mar found himself answering truthfully. He really did like to hear them both.
Leaning a bit closer toward G'off, T'mar gave the younger lad a grin and a thumbs up. "Good question G'off" he said with a wide smile. Danuth, please tell G'off that I don't mind, and that I like it. T'mar told the other twin. He really did think it was special. Not everyone could talk to more then one dragon.

U’ski had been expecting that sort of question from either G’off or T’mar. He had spent some time in the records room looking through old clutch histories but so far he had come up with nothing. It was hard to believe that over so many years this might be the first time that twin dragons had come up. But odd things had been happening with these last few clutches anyways. He looked the two boys over before letting out a small sigh and giving them both a shrug. “So far I haven’t found anything records of twin dragons but I haven’t had nearly enough time to look at everything. I don’t think you’ll ever be able to fully silence the bond between the four of you but with some practice I think you’ll learn how to keep your thoughts quieter and not be sharing everything. I’m going to continue looking through the records though, you two are free to join me as well. Three sets of eyes will be able to work better then one.” Seeing no more questions, U’ski raised his voice again to make sure he had everyone’s attention. “Tonight I want all of you to just take the chance and talk to your dragons. Learn how to control your mental voice with them and get comfortable with that. If your dragons get hungry, feed them. If they get itchy, wash and oil them. Tomorrow I want all of you to show up here with your dragons feed, washed and oiled. We’ll start a first aid class tomorrow. Now if there aren’t any more questions, you’re all free to go.”
