Rank:Weyrling
Sexual Orientation Heterosexual
Family:
Grandfather (Paternal)- Hegan
Grandmother (Paternal)- Medeya
Grandfather (Maternal) - Benick
Grandmother (Maternal) - Evaris
Father- Tieran
Mother- Darsha
Aunts & Unlces
Siblings:
Denkin (26)- Holdless (played by Smara)
Appearance: (Face Claim: Liam Aiken)
The youth is somewhat scrawny to look at. His skin is light though he could tan if he were out in the sunlight more. His leanness is in part do to all the running he does. Even though it seems he has no muscle, all the boy is is skin and lithe muscle. Thats not to say he has the build of a body builder but more that of a young active boy. He is going through a growth spurt and as such he can eat and eat and not put on any weight. Currently he's 5'3”.
His green eyes are half moon shaped with the flat side down. His eyelashes are medium length and the same medium brown color that his shaggy hair is. If he allowed his hair to grow out it would be more wavy but as it is, its straight. Thick, mostly straight brown eyebrows make him seem a little stern at times, though its rarely the case that he is stern. He has round ears that don't stick out past his hair unless he has it shaved down close to his head.
Geoff's nose is straight, growing wider down his face where it culminates about an inch above his mouth. A sideways smile often shows on his lightly flushed lips. Although more commonly he has an impish smirk on his face. He wears three things at all times, his knives, a necklace he got from his first steal and a ring given to him by his grandfather before he left the main camp. Those are all he considers as positions. He wears worn clothes which are generally dingy looking. When they get worn threw he just takes new clothes from one cothold or another. The same goes for his boots which seem to need changing more than most.
Personality:
It would be nice to be able to say that Geoff is an ordinary boy in the South. That he cares about others and wants to do the right thing all of the time. However, Geoff is not ordinary. He is a member of the Holdless and as such has been slightly corrupted by his feelings of entitlement and unfairness. He has no fear of being caught and often acts with a reckless abandon. He does not even fear death. Why? Because a cause will always be bigger than death. A statement that will live long after death is worth it. Has the boy been brainwashed by his family and friends? Its uncertain except for the fact that often the environment which you are surrounded with will often determine your beliefs.
Although he only began with the Nomadic group a Turn and a half ago, he has become a good little thief. His weapons training is sad and he is often compared to a women in that category. He has a few small knives he can use in tight places. More often then not, he can get out of a situation, being young and having long legs to run on. He has a compulsive personality where he will act on something he feels compelled to do. It is not that he wants to do these things its that he feels he must do them. Sometimes these compulsions make absolutely no sense and other times they fit in with that the Holdless plan to do anyway. He also has a bit of a problem with theft addiction. The feeling that he needs to have something is probably part of his compulsive behavior.
Geoff does not dwell on things nor does he linger in places where he feels unwelcome. There are things he doesn't want to think about and plans he does not want to be privy to. Although he'd make a good little spy against his own kind if he did want to overhear conversations. Most of the things adults talk about are not something he should here. Its been made clear to him what happens to people who are caught by the enemy. Information would be tortured out of him. If he has no information it can't be gotten out of him. Even if he breaks down and wants to tell. He's a good runner and spends a lot of time when he's not thieving playing with some of the other young boys and girls. He especially likes to race them.
With a somewhat playful nature, he is a good person to joke around with. His dad-like sense of humor can get on some people's nerves. No dumb joke is too bad for him to tell. He tends to try to annoy his older brother with them though he knows his brother could beat the tar out of him. Often the less serious he makes a situation the better he feels going into a dangerous one.
Hobbies/Skills: knives, spying, stealing (especially stealing!), running
Pets: None
History:
Geoff was what we would call an oops baby. His parents, thought to be done with having children were not happy at the unexpected pregnancy. There was enough to keep them busy with their older son and being Holdless. So while his parents wandered around the Southern Continent, Geoff was forced to stay behind and live with his maternal grandfather. Every so often his parents would visit the Camp but their visits were never all that interesting to the boy. He was growing up without them and without feeling like belonging to anyone except his grandfather.
While his brother was with him for a few turns it was not long before he was off with their parents. Not long enough for Geoff to really grow a strong connection with him. Despite the circumstances of his family, he grew up just as they wanted him to. He was instilled daily with the values his family clung to. Dragons were the enemy, they were dangerous, parasites that ate the food other people worked hard to grow without paying a cent for it. Firelizards were in the same boat as far as his family was concerned. Anything related to dragons was a problem for anyone who believed in freedom for the South.
The cause, he quickly learned, was more important than life itself. They needed to stand up to the oppressors of the South. Their kind had not left the North and the rule of the Holders only to have a new and worse form of Leader in the South. As Geoff grew to accept this as his cause, he also began to learn how to fight in combat. His skills were wanting in several areas being a slender youngster. He turned to things that would show his own talents. Fast on his feet, the youth could outrun all the children at the Camp and even most of the adults. As he progressed he found using knives and daggers to be easier than large swords, axes even bows. He had a hard time stringing a bow while running.
Geoff's family was a bit more pleased as he progressed in training. They were not so pleased when he was caught listening in on a conversation he was not supposed to hear about plans for an attack on one of the Weyrs. His Grandfather took the matter into his own hands, making certain the boy understood the danger of hearing things that he was not supposed to hear. The fact of the matter was if he were to be captured it would be better that he knew as little as possible. He wanted to believe those words as the solid truth but the boy had his doubts. They were not telling him everything.
Often growing up, he turned to humor to lighten the mood of a situation. His Grandfather was not a particularly pleasant man but Geoff was good at even making him laugh. Most of his jokes were, truth be told, a bit silly although much needed in times like the ones they were facing. At eleven Turns of age he was feeling more confident in his abilities and was sent on practice missions. He was good at his own particular skill sets but to ask him to go beyond that was not happening. Geoff's limited experiences would not prepare him for joining the real thing next Turn.
Then he was allowed to join the Holdless outside of the camp. The task force he was assigned to, was the same one his older brother was in though he made sure not to bug him right away. He wanted to earn everyone's respect first. In his group he was one of two spies, and so should he fail there weren't many people in line to replace him. His first few missions were set up on purpose so he could learn to work with the team. Now that he has been with them for over a Turn he knows what he is doing.
Dragon Information
Name: Danuth
Age: 2 Turns
Color: Blue
Appearance:
Danuth is a small sized blue when hatched as is his twin. The dragon is never going to be the largest of blues, dragon healers attributing this to the fact he was given less nutrition in the egg than he would have if he were the only dragon in the egg. Having to share with Petroth meant neither one got the benefits of a single dragonet. Danuth’s hide is a lighter blue almost a periwinkle color. There is not a single blemish on his hide though like Petroth he has a dorsal stripe of darker blue that runs from the top of his neck to the tip of his tail.
The two are almost identical in appearance. Danuth and Petroth are the same size and probably will remain so into adulthood. Reaching about 26.0 meters, there are still some blues smaller than they are but they would have grown to average size if they had not shared a shell. The pair have the same body proportions and would look exactly the same except for one detail. Petroth’s hide is much darker than Danuth’s. Despite this their claws are the same color a deep slate gray. This is where the similarities end.
Personality:
The problem with the Weyr was that no one could take a joke. Seriously, the dragon just wanted to have a little fun. A real fun loving type, Danuth is the life of the party whenever possible. He was upset that when he was hatched people were not happy with his choice. The dragonet knew better than they did, he wanted someone who would not hinder his free spirit. He is the quintessential social butterfly. Extroverted, charming and a bit flirtatious around greens, Danuth is rarely alone. He is not afraid to put himself out there or get himself into situations that might be hard to get out of.
Danuth’s nature is changeable. One second he could be worrying about drills and the next deciding to go sunning or maybe to skip them all together. He can be a bit scatterbrained and this can be a detriment to his learning in lessons. He is curious about all that surrounds him and is unafraid to question what is. The leap without looking type, Danuth comes off as a bit reckless.
