Belekin is one of those men who has aged well and is often mistaken for being younger then he is. His brown hair has never seen a strain of gray in it, nor has the scruffy gotee that he occasionally grows. His light blue eyes are just as sharp and as clear as they were when he was a young man.
The man is still physically fit and can put men half his age to shame. He’s a warrior, not some wimpy little sneak. He is a strong, broad shouldered male, with a wide chest. There’s something small or dainty on him. A few scars litter his body, but with how many fights and how physical he gets with people, the scars only prove how good he is.
Personality:
(this is a little more up to who ever adopts him)
Belekin is possessive and quick to anger. When he takes something it’s HIS and if anyone else even tries to touch it, he will try to rip their arms off and beat them to death with them. This not only includes objects but people as well.
When he’s not angry, Belekin can be a charming, womanizer. He knows how to treat them well and does his best to not show his bad temper in front of a woman, especially if he hasn’t been romancing her for long. He enjoys feeling like a women needs him, though if they try to make the relationship too serious, he’s quick to leave them.
Hobbies/Skills:
Fighting. Fists, knife, sword, chunk of wood, he’s good at hitting people with just about anything.
Pets:
History:
Belekin was born in Haven Weyr. It was a small Weyr but he enjoyed it. His parents were nothing special, just people in the Lower Caverns who had no interest in trying to become dragon riders themselves. But just because his parents weren’t riders didn’t mean that Belekin wasn’t influenced by them. He picked up on many of the male riders womanizing ways and started to mimic them as a teenager.
Like his parents, he was never stood at the hatching sands, he was too busy getting busy with the girls in the kitchen. And the girls that took care of laundry. And any other girl he could find and charm. But that all stopped when he first meet Jennren. She was the most beautiful girl that Belekin had ever seen and in an instant he decided that he would make Jennren his. He took his time wooing her, bringing her small gifts, making up silly songs for her and being as much of a gentlemen as he could. She finally agreed to date him and shortly after the two were married.
The relationship was rocky, Belekin’s temper soon started to show, especially when he felt like other men were looking at his new bride too much. He would often get in fights, coming home bloody and bruised. Jennren hated it and would try to avoid her husband when he got like that.
After spending a day repairing a broken fence for the Weyr’s heardbeasts, Belekin came home to find his wife sleeping with another man. Belekin went in a rage and beat the man before he ended up killing him. The man turned out to be a blue rider who had just lost a flight. Jennren claimed that she had been raped by the rider, fearing that her husband would turn his rage on her next. Hearing that the man had been a rider, Belekin went from blind rage to a panic. The murder of a rider was not taken lightly. He packed a few items before he made a quick escape, barely getting out of the Weyr before riders and guards came to find out what had happened.
Jennren was left to explain what had happened. She feared that Belekin would come after her next and asked to be sent to Refugee Weyr where he wouldn’t find her. The request was reluctantly granted and she was sent to the sister Weyr shortly before finding out she was pregnant. She gave birth to the child at Refugee, naming him Beleren and tried to raise him. She failed quickly, unable to handle the responsibility of caring for a child on her own and handed the boy off to the Headwoman. She stuck around the Weyr for a little longer before she left it, leaving no word of where she was going next.
Belekin meanwhile stayed on the run. He had grown a bit paranoid that the dragon riders were still after him. He would move between holds, never staying there for long, not that any hold would allow him to stay for long. He was the kind of guy who was quick to find trouble and enjoyed finding it. Fighting other people gave him a chance to forget his own troubles for a while.
Luck would have him cross Riverton’s path. The man was a few years younger then him but Belekin was quick to latch onto his ideas and join his slowly growing group of Holdless.
