The blonde sat thinking about the option that had presented itself to her. This morning, a little after Weyrling training, she had been approached by the Weyrwoman about her own talents. Cupith was a good dragon who would understand her need to help others and not interfere. The Weyr needed her. Dragonkind needed her. She would be privy to Records on the subject and receive training. Healing people was not something she would be dealing with anymore. Her calm, soothing nature was something that the Weyr needed. They needed it not just for wounded humans but dragons as well. They wanted her to think about training as a Dragon healer.
And think about it, she was. Cupith slept in on her couch in the Barracks, while her rider wandered the Lower Caverns, where her old haunts had been. Now though she did not think she could talk with her mother. She knew what the woman would say. This was Vaylee's decision. She did not want it to be her decision. She almost wished the Weyrwoman had told her she would be doing it and that was that! Now that it was in her own power to say yes or no, she felt that there was no way she could say yes.
Dragonhealers still fought thread but when Threadfall ended their job was just beginning. She would have to help men and women who had injured dragons, communicate with them so that she could find out what exactly ailed the dragon and then she would have to fix the problem. Cupith's job would be to help keep the dragons calm and the little green was quite the social butterfly so she would do well at it. Despite their own charming natures, she was not sure they could do it. More than that, she did not think she could do it. Vaylee had never seen herself as much to begin with, sure she was pretty, charming and gregarious but she was also never considered to be very smart. A dragonhealer had to remember a great many things.
Was she up to the task? Sure she had proven herself and Cupith in Weyrling Training as not being dumb as dirt but they weren't the brightest glows in the basket either. Maybe she just needed time. The Weyrwoman did tell her to think about it. Thinking about it was leaving her more and more concerned about what was coming and whether she could handle it. The idea of Threadfall was quite frightening as it was. To be responsible for saving more lives afterwards was, well, beyond terrifying!
As she wandered through the people in the Lower Caverns, she must've had a look of complete detachment on her face for no one greeted her or patted her arm. She knew nearly everyone at the Weyr having been born and raised there and then to impress a green at the last clutch. She was happy to be well known and well liked but sometimes a person just wanted to be left alone.

B’ren had wandered on down to the Lower Caverns to visit with his foster mother and some of his siblings. He liked being able to spend a little time with them, it gave him a chance to get away from some of the other riders, and more importantly, a chance to hear some new gossip. While some dragon riders could be a gossipy bunch, they had nothing on the people from the Lower Caverns. He had spent a couple of hours with them, talking and getting caught up on how they were all doing before he finally decided to take his leave.
His good mood became a more troubled one when he saw a familiar blond go by. It was easy to tell that her mind was else where and B’ren quickly turned around to follow after her. He had grown up with Vaylee and Zaylee, and had spent much of his youth either being a little brat to them or shamelessly flittering with them when ever he got the chance. He couldn’t remember every seeing a look like that on… Vaylee, he was pretty sure that was Vaylee, on Vaylee’s face.
He walked along side her for a little, waiting to see if she noticed him before gently placing a hand on her shoulder. “Vaylee? Are you ok?” He shut his mouth before he could throw a joke in. B’ren didn’t know what was wrong with Vaylee but it worried him a little to see his friend like this. If someone had done something to her, he would make sure that a hungry Zeuth found the person first.

The fact of the matter was if she did not do what the Weyr was asking of her, she would then appear to be a selfish coward. Neither trait was exactly good, though she was quite sure many people thought of her as one or both. Lucky for her Cupith was asleep right now or she'd be on the receiving end of a conversation in which she would be told exactly how untrue that statement was. Unlike Cupith, Vaylee did not always see the world through rose colored glasses.
She walked right past B'ren without realizing he was there. Even after he began to walk in stride with her she did not notice. It took his hand on her shoulder to make her look up. “Oh! Oh, I'm so sorry. My mind was wandering.” She smiled warmly at her friend but made no attempt to move his arm, wondering if her face had really been so easy to read. Refraining from the urge to bite her lip or tug on a strand of her hair, she answered, “I don't mean to seem troubled. I'm in good health and Cupith is well.” She paused feeling even more foolish for causing him to worry than worrying over the issue herself.
“I'm facing a big decision and its one of those things that can change your life. Forever.” More specifics would probably be helpful. “If you're interested in hearing the details, I'll tell you all about it over some food. I haven't eaten lunch today and I know Cupith will worry if she wakes and I'm hungry.” Despite having been friends with B'ren for a long time, she had never seen him as anything other than a friend. Most of her male acquaintances she would consider to be potential mates. Maybe he was just too familiar? Whatever the reason, she saw him as a brother type and thankfully it seemed he felt the same way about her.

B’ren gave Vaylee an easy going smile, happy to hear that she and her dragon were both physically doing fine. That didn’t stop him from being worried about her though, clearly something was up though he was surprised when she said it was a life changing event. Now he had to find out what was going on with her.
Another bright little smile and he took her arm in his, being a little extra dramatic about it. “Lunch for the lovely lady it is. Then you have to tell me about this life changing event. So not fair to say something like that and then leave me hanging.” He kept his tone light and friendly with Vaylee. He would do anything he could to help her, even if that was nothing more then being someone who listened to her current problem.
He lead the two of them to the dinning hall, being as gentlemanly as he could for her. Currently B’ren was trying to be a little less flirty and a little more serious for her. He didn’t want Vaylee to think he wasn’t taking her problem serious and was just going to blow her off. Finding an empty table for them, he pulled out a seat for Vaylee and helped push it in for her. “Now what do you want to eat? I’ll go get us our food and then you can tell me all about life changing events.” He took her order then went off to get it, coming back with a cup of khal and a cold sandwich for himself and with Vaylee’s food as well. He set it all down for them and took a seat across from her, and let them both get a few bites of food in before he propped his elbows up on the table. “Ok, spill it.”

The greenrider was pleased that he had accepted, though she was a bit concerned having this spread around. Should she choose not to then she would be thought of in a bad light. She did trust B'ren not to speak to anyone else about it unless she said it would be okay. Letting the young man take her arm was nothing new. Although it did feel nice to be treated well by a man. “The suspense may well kill you...” She said with a hint of sarcasm.
As they arrived at the Dining Hall, Vaylee thought about what she could stomach. “A cup of water, some fruit whatever is most fresh would be best and perhaps a meatroll.” It would be easier for him if she kept it simple. She really did not want to be a bother but seeing as B'ren was a friend she could ask things of him. When he came back, he demanded to know what was going on with her.
After taking a sip of her water, she said, “Weyrwoman Raelwyn spoke with me after lessons this morning.” Hence why this would be important. “And you know I used to work in the infirmary although never as an apprentice.” She added this on as if it tied everything together. “On top of that I am a dragonrider, soon to be a graduated, full fledged dragonrider.” Cupith could not wait for that day! She was not sure she could at times either.
“So what she is asking of me makes sense in a way.” Pausing she let him think for a moment before stating what was going on. The suspense might actually be killing him now. “She wants me to consider training as a Dragon Healer.” A big job in a Weyr with so few dragon healers and more dragons coming judging by Aeriath's glow of late.
Confessing her fears she added, “I'm not sure what to do. On the one side you have some prestige and the gratitude of any dragon's life you save but then you have the people who will be angry if you do something wrong...” There might just be too much pressure in that sort of position. She never liked the idea of having huge responsibilities.

Vaylee’s vagueness was driving him nuts but he resisted interrupting her. B’ren was sure that she was enjoying is torture just a little bit. He was hanging on her every word and it was impossible for him to not show it. His eyes widened a bit at hearing that the Weyrwoman wanted Vaylee to be a dragon healer. No wonder she had been so out of it, this was a big deal. He let out a heavy sigh, thinking the options over.
“Well regardless of what you decide to do you should feel proud that you were considered for such a thing. If you do become a dragon healer, you’ll be the prettiest one Pern has ever seen.” He gave her a playful grin before becoming more serious about the matter.
“No one is going to be mad at you for whatever you choose to do. If you don’t think you can go through with the training or don’t think you’d be able to handle being a dragon healer then I’m sure Weyrwoman Raelwyn will respect that you were able to turn it down now instead of trying to go through with it and having to back out half way through.” He took a sip of his cooling drink, holding up a finger to show that he wasn’t done. “And if you do become a dragon healer, I don’t think anyone will get mad at you either. I mean you’re at least giving injured dragons a chance, one that they wouldn’t have if we didn’t have another healer. If something happens to a dragon, yea the rider is going to be upset but they aren’t going to be mad at you. Things happen, it’s part of being a dragon rider.”
He took a bite of his sandwich before giving her a shrug. “No matter what you decide to do I’ll always back you up Vaylee. I think you’d be a great healer, people or dragons. But if you say no I’m sure Raelwyn’s got someone else in mind as well. I mean we have that other healer guy from the North. And that uhh other guy. Was he a beast healer? Something like that. She clearly just thinks that you’d be the best.”

She listened to him, wondering if maybe he was trying to make her feel like this was not as big of a deal as she was making it into. Which was likely true. Pretty she knew she was, smart was something she doubted about herself. Still the comment made her blush. It had been a while since she had paid much attention to flirtations. Mostly because Cupith was not emotionally ready to handle them. Now though the littlest green was quite happy to hear what the boys said about her rider.
"I suppose you are right. I could do anything I set my mind to doing. Its just, you know I've never been thought of as being very intelligent. Dragon Healing requires study and practice. It would cut into my social life big time but it would be rewarding to save lives. I agree, D'ero and R'gar would be good dragon healers. They both ride brown so they must be fairly down to earth." Of course there were browns who were not calm and steady just as there were greens who weren't cheerful and flighty.
She bit into a redfruit, chewing it slowly while remembering her conversation from earlier. "Raelwyn did say something that stuck out to me. Perhaps that is why I've been approached first. She said Cupith was very good with other dragons and would be an asset to a dragonhealer. Maybe the other dragons aren't as openly friendly as Cupith is?" And boy was her little green friendly. She knew every dragon in their clutch and quite a few outside of it and she remembered them. While her recognition of terrain was a bit poor even for a green, she remembered dragons. Everyone had a talent, Vaylee would not want to get in the way of Cupith's.
"Maybe she will still ask them? Perhaps we'd all be in the same lessons? Its better to train young people since we've got very few dragonriders who also heal dragons and riders. It would be a big help to have a few new people." She smiled suddenly and broadly. Now it was his turn to be concerned about the future. "Are they grooming you to be a Wingleader yet?" She could see it now, Wingleader B'ren and it made her want to laugh. Vaylee knew he was ambitious enough to want the title. And that Or'yn was too young to be considered for even Wingsecond any time soon.

“Oh Vaylee, you’re pleanty smart. Sure you might not be the best at numbers but how is knowing how many heardbest we need to feed twenty dragons for a month going to help you? Sure it’ll take a lot of hard work and practice but you always did good in Weyrling lessons and I always thought you were great when you were helping out the healers. It made getting hurt so much more enjoyable.” He grinned and gave her a little wink, then nodded as she listed off the two Northerners. He knew everyone from the South and had taken the time to learn all the names of the Northern ladies but he still had a hard time keeping all the details of the males from the North.
B’ren had no idea if the other two, D’ero and R’gar had been asked about dragon healing. “I don’t know, I’m betting they haven’t been asked yet. I’m sure Raelwyn is first waiting to see what you do. I mean they both seem like nice guys but being from the North, the rest of us might not trust them with the health of our dragons right away. Kind of silly buuut it’s hard to ignore decades of hearing ‘Those Northerners kicked us out of our own house and home’ without being a little resentful of it. And I can’t say any dragon is as nice and sweet as Cupith is, Zeuth is just naggy half the time, reminds me way too much of my foster mom. Especially if I decide to have a little fun instead of sitting around looking through scrolls of boring things.” Off the top of his head, B’ren couldn’t think of ever hearing anyone say something bad about Cupith. She was always just so nice.
The bronze rider cringed slightly when asked about being a wingleader. No one had said anything to him yet, in fact he had only heard more and more disappointment from Zeuth as of late. Rhiannoth’s transfer had only made the large bronze more scolding. “No, nothing like that yet. I don’t the Weyr leaders even know who I am. I’m sure they know Zeuth, kind of hard to miss that massive beast of a dragon, and maybe they knew me but only as the rider of Zeuth. But I’ve been working on learning some of the stuff a wing leader should know. Like all the flight patterns and stuff. It would be really nice to just have everything handed over to me since I ride a bronze but… well I want to show everyone that I am trying to take the seriously. Every day I watch the wings practice and try to figure out what exactly they work on and what’s expected of the wingleader. I’ve been trying to find out what Weyrleaders and the junior Weyrleaders are suppose to do as well but those just seem to be up to the leader instead of having a set responsibility.” He laughed a little and shrugged. It was hard to remember when he had last had to actually work on something for himself. Half the time he had just tried his best to charm the information out of others.

As she finished her red fruit and tried to nibble on her meat-roll, she listened to B'ren's comforting remarks. True she would not need to know those things. No one said she would be doing anything on her own any time soon either. The sooner she gave the Weyrwoman an answer the better. Although she doubted it would affect any decision made about the other two. At least, she hoped it would not. The thought that her decision would affect someone else's life like that made her uneasy.
“It was over a hundred Turns ago. You would think people would be over it by now. We may not be in the position to do what they asked when they arrived but they have Impressed dragons which makes them dragonriders. All dragons obey their Queen.” She added a little smugly. Aeriath would be able to control any of the Northern folk's dragons. Vaylee felt they had nothing to fear from them now that they had been integrated into the Weyr.
Vaylee could not imagine Cupith being anything but sweet and supportive. “Cupith is much too sweet to waste time nagging people. Perhaps she is a bit simple but its the simple kindness in her that people like. I would love her no matter her temperament though. Bronzes are supposed to be a bit more challenging to their riders. I'm sure this will not change much as he gets older. The battle of wills.” She was perhaps misguided in her views but that was what she had heard of the dragons. Not all were alike of course. She wondered how Or'yn could control a dragon so large with him being so small.
Strength of will was something even the smallest people could have it seemed. “I would not worry about the Wingleaders. They should be conducting interviews soon. Zeuth and Rath will be the ones they want the most. After that its more of a coin toss as to where each of us goes. Just because you have not spoken to the Wingleaders does not mean they don't know who you are. They've been keeping track of our progress throughout Weyrlinghood, trying to decide who they want in their wings. They are probably waiting till you are placed in a wing so that the leader can then train you up himself.”
Vaylee hoped that sounded encouraging. The interviews with the Wingleaders made her nervous. Cupith would be a good addition to the wings though they would have to test her out to see how long she could last during a Fall. Being as small as she was, she might not last as long as the average green. This also concerned Vaylee but if they were dragonhealers the sooner they were back at the Weyr the more prepared they would be for injuries.

“I think most of us are fine with them but we actually know them. I still think some of them are kind of annoying at times but I still trust all of them. But there are still some of the other older riders who are probably a little less forgiving. But who knows, I really haven’t gone around asking random people what they think of the Northerners, everyone who deals with them is use to them by now.” He shrugged a little, he knew there were still some older people who had nothing better to do then to whine and moan about the North still. He didn’t have any problems with anyone of the North at least, they all seemed like nice enough people.
“Yea, I think Zeuth and I spend half our time together nagging each other. But neither of us minds that much. We both just push each other to do better. And well, now I’ll know that if Zeuth ever stops whineing at me to stop flittering with people that he’s sick. And probably dying. Because I don’t think it would be possible for him to not make some kind of remark about that. He doesn’t think I’m being serious when I’m flirting. And if we are to be wingleaders and then Weyrleaders, we need to be taken serious. I think Zeuth is just sad that he’s not going to get very much action. He’s probably too slow for most green flights and with Essa and Rhiannoth gone he’ll have to try his luck at winning a Weyrleader flight.”
B’ren listened to Vaylee, thinking her words over a bit before nodding in agreement. She was probably right. There weren’t many bronze dragons in the Weyr so people had to be paying attention to Or’yn and himself as they got closer to being put into actual wings. Though he was still some what worried. Who knew what the wingleaders currently thought of him. He wasn’t dumb, and he hadn’t screwed around during lessons but he had been the most serious person there either. He had been trying to be more serious during the last few months but he still couldn’t stop himself from flirting with any women who came by, or being a little bit of a clown at times. “Yea, you’re probably right. I’m sure getting people into dragonhealer training is more important then trying to figure out who will be going to what wing and such. Still, I bet it’ll be you they end up fighting for. Even more so if you go with the healing training.”

“There are one or two that are difficult to get along with. N'var for one and he impressed such a difficult green. Cupith however says the green is very courteous to her and always opinionated. It would not matter where we were, there would still be people who didn't like the Holders. How life is, not everyone values the same things and so we cannot all get along all of the time.” That was true of any place and any people. Vaylee hoped they would all get along well enough in wings that there would not be much drama though she had heard some rumors that the other riders were none to pleased to be moving out of their wings into a new wing to make room for some of the Weyrlings.
B'ren's words made her giggle. “Oh dear, you've got a very serious dragon. Cupith is so fond of everyone she would be happy to see me carelessly flirt with every male dragon's rider in the Weyr.” Cupith loved love be it from the dragons or her rider it made no difference. If Vaylee was happy flirting, Cupith was too. Nothing about what they did was hurting anyone so there was nothing wrong with it.
“Perhaps he should have a chat with my very loving little green flirt. Might change his mind on some things.” Like that flirting was in any way a bad thing. Letting ones possible mates know that you liked them was hardly a negative in Vaylee's mind. Besides she had known B'ren for a long time. His flirting was mostly for his benefit and fun. If he were serious about a woman it would be because he had fallen in love with her.
An event she would love to see for herself. She wanted her friends to be happy and being in love was the surest way to be happy. Not that Vaylee had ever been in love herself. Someday perhaps she would find that someone special who made life complete. For now though, Cupith filled any holes she thought she may have. “Now B'ren it isn't like you to be modest. I can heal all wings no matter where I'm placed. You ride a Bronze dragon of which there are only two in the clutch. Your interview is going to be much more interesting. We might even get into the same wing. Then I can tell you what girls are interested in you right away and you can do the same for me.” She was so ready for Cupith to fly. Dragon lust was wonderful although she had yet to fully feel it. Aeriath's last flight she was under some of its affects and had been a flight moth. She had thoroughly enjoyed though she rather doubted A'lez remembered much of that night.
“I don't know if I care which wing I'm placed in, I just hope I'm not the last to get their shoulder tapped at the ceremony.” The suspense of such an event would surely make her crazy. Cupith was a very small dragon and perhaps this would make her less desirable to a wing. With that in mind perhaps it was better for both of them if she did become a dragon healer.

B’ren nodded in agreement with Vaylee’s thoughts on N’var and Nem. He had never had any problems with the pair but he hadn’t gone out of his way to interact with each of them. “People are going to end up bickering with others. I’m just hoping that we can all keep it slightly professional and at least show each other a little respect. We’re all dragon riders after all, and all on the same side.” He took a quick look around before leaning in a little close to Vaylee. “Though I’m already taking bets on who’s going to get in the first fight. And big that everyone sees. It’ll probably be N’var and a blue or green rider. Don’t know some of the older riders very well so I can’t make a better guess yet.” The young man snickered a bit, it probably wasn’t nice to be making such bets but most people got into it a little bit. And the worst that could happen was he would be involved in the first fight.
“Ohhh yea, Zeuth is very serious, determined and ambitious. I’m hoping he’ll start to calm down a little over time, once he realizes that we can become Weyrleader when we’re, gasp!, 25 turns. Or something a little more reasonable then 19. And hey, if Cupith wants to try and talk some sense into him she’s free to try it. I mean it can’t hurt unless it bruises his ego a little that I talk him more.” He wished his bronze could lighten up a little. It would make things a little more relaxing. But they both had big plans and unfortunately for B’ren, Zeuth wanted those plans to be put into affect now. Which was probably good, at least then they might be taken more seriously when they finally got the chance to pursue actual leadership of the Weyr.
B’ren faked a look of hurt. “What? Modest is my middle name Vaylee! Along with sexy beast.” He snickered a bit and shrugged. “Well you’ll know more about the dragons in your wing then you will the other wings. That might help you out more when trying heal a dragon. I mean, we know of Nemesyth and how temperamental she can be. Think of the poor first healer that tries to help her out. And depending on which wingleader interviews me, the interview could just be ‘so how many women do you think you flirt with every day?’ But I do hope we end up in the same wing together. Even if I can already tell you that just about every single guy will be interested in you. You’re the finest looking women in the Weyr, you’ve got one of the sweetest dragons, and well you’re just pretty wonderful all around.” Aside from a few male green riders, B’ren didn’t think that many people would pass up the chance to spend some time with Vaylee. She was a good looking girl but also one of the nicest ones as well. Personality, looks and a green dragon? The woman was perfect.
“Hey they save the best for last, didn’t you know that? But I’m sure you’ll be snatched up right away. Unless they do it in alphabetical order. But any wing would be lucky to have you. I just don’t want to end up in that new bronze riders wing, you know the one of Haven? I mean I’m sure he’s a great guy but the fist thing I think of is ‘What did he do to get sent here?’ I mean did he just draw the short straw or did he do something bad at Haven that got him sent here when they just picked up their new gold?”

“Most definitely going to be N'var and I'd wager with someone who has a volatile temper.” There were of course several people off the top of her head who had tempers. “We maybe should get a pool going. It would be a nice way to earn extra marks.” Her own private weyr was going to need some furnishings. No way was she going to settle for less than she deserved either. The more marks she had the more nice things she could buy. Perhaps sell a few of her jewels she didn't want anymore and one or two dresses. Any extra money was being put into her new place. Cupith would thoroughly agree they should live in style.
She laughed at his irritation with his dragon's persona. “Now B'ren, someone has to be the voice of reason. Otherwise you would already be bedding more women than you can handle.” Cupith was not at all concerned about Vaylee's interests in men as long as she was happy. However being a Bronzerider meant he had to hold up a reputation as a good guy or people would be less than friendly to him.
Although it had worked well for D'seus being a bit of a ladies man. She personally wouldn't mind having a visit from the Wingleader herself. Too bad he seemed infatuated with the Weyrwoman. “Maybe it would benefit Zeuth more if he asked Zorometh how he dealt with D'seus. He does have a reputation for womanizing you know. Cupith would be on your side so much that Zeuth would not be able to trust her council at all.”
The young woman finished her drink and looked over the few pieces of meatroll on her plate. She could not eat a single bite more. Vaylee never ate till she was stuffed. Her figure was worth more to her than eating good tasting food. After all this training she had to do her muscles were more toned. Something she was actually happy about. Enough toning that she felt she was even more attractive and feminine. “Modest? Hah! You wouldn't know modesty if it hit you in the face and sent Zeuth Between. Besides sexy beast sounds better. Men with confidence are much more likely to get laid. Modest men are often a bore.” And yes this came from her own personal study of the opposite sex.
Blushing slightly at his words of praise, it was not modesty that drove her to do so. She simply did not think B'ren had noticed her in any way other than one of a friend. That he had made her a little less sure of what she thought had always been a simple camaraderie. “We will see I suppose. Not to sure about that new Bronze either.” She had only seen him at a distance and could not tell if he was good looking or not.
“I think Illume or Shadow would be best because we'd be with a Wingleader we have heard about and are willing to trust. As for the new guy it could be that he was in love with one of the Goldriders and requested to be sent away because it was too painful to be there...” Romanticism was certainly not dead in Vaylee's eyes. She could see the whole tragic tale in her head. Now he was at a new Weyr trying to find his way back to the real world.

“Yea, I’m going to be starting up a pool. If you help me get some of the other weyrlings, and heck anyone else in the Weyr who wants in, I’ll give you a cut. I’ll even be nice and we can split it 50/50.” Giving up half the money he could make would be worth it, Vaylee would be able to sweet talk and tempt so many guys into placing bets. “I’m thinking of even making some other bets as well. Like what green will fly first, who has to do the first walk of shame, you know, fun stuff.” Betting was one of the few things that got B’ren to actually do work and research. In preparation for making bets about flights he had even looked back at years of flight records, trying to figure out what sort of variables might play into it; size, hatching order, rider… He already had odds out on most of the weyrling greens. He had actually enjoyed the research, and not just because it might help him make a couple of quick marks.
He gave Vaylee a fake scowl. “What do you mean more women then I could handle? There’s enough of me for all the lovely ladies in the Weyr.” He laughed a little and shrugged. She probably had a point, though he hadn’t been able to enjoy any womanly affection since Impressing to Zeuth. Soon though, soon he would be allowed to join in flights and forget about the stupid weyrling rule of no relationships. “Talking to Zorometh might be a good idea. Could give me a chance to talk to D’seus as well. I would like the chance to question at least one of the wingleaders about the sort of responsibilities they have as wingleader. Maybe then I’ll even get the chance to do the wing interview or something.
Confidence was something that B’ren had plenty of. It was hard to keep him down for long. Most of the time it was a good thing though once in a while it got him into trouble. “If only I could change my name to Sexy Beast. Though I’m sure that as soon as someone sees me that’s the first thing they think of ‘why look over there, it’s that sexy beast of a bronze rider.’ Yea that sounds about right.”
Her ideas about the new bronze rider were good ones. It at least made the guy seem better then what B’ren had originally thought. It was also a little depressing. Maybe he would try to find the guy at dinner one evening and introduce himself. “Well for his sake I hope it’s more my idea. That would just be a horrible thing to have to go through. I mean that’d be pretty hard to get over. Just having to deal with bad luck would be much easier.”
