Character
Name: Rolgar
Age: 17
Gender: Male
Rank: Apprentice healer // Weyrling
Emphasis: wildcrafting herbology and animal physiology
Sexual Orientation: het
Family: Is an uncle to Cemar. Parents: Father Ragule, Mother: deceased. Siblings: older brother Coar, three other older brothers. Two older sisters.
Appearance: Despite his young age, Rolgar is a tall lad, notching in at a good solid 6' 2". His build is a good solid frame for the height, making him an even larger lad, as there is nothing thin, scrawny, or narrow about him. With a broad set of shoulders and a thick chest, there is no fear that this lad can't pick you up and move you if you need such assistance to get out of harm's way.
His hair is pitch black, and quite straight. He wears it about shoulder length and tied back into a single runnertail where it stays out of the way of what he's trying to look at or do. His eyes are a matching black color, framing the thick, large nose that is typical on such lads of stature. His brows are equally dark and thick, and when they suddenly jump upward it is quite noticeable.
He tends to wear decent clothing that fits him well, long sleeves, cuffs that will close around his thick wrists, and trousers that have roomy pockets in them, for he keeps them full of things. He almost never wears a hat of any sort, as he just simply does not need it. Though not terribly dark in complexion, he doesn't burn in the least, instead getting a stout nutty color the more time he spends in the sun.
Personality: Rolgar is an easy going sort, and is quite willing to smile and talk to people despite his rather imposing stature. He is never terribly upset when and if people interrupt what he is doing, and he's usually always doing something to some effect. Always interested in learning, he is studying things even if not in the typical method of studying. If he finds a neat creature or bug or plant, he's going to stop and inspect it all over. In some instances it is not at all surprising to catch him tasting things. Though he is always careful what he puts in his mouth, quite well aware a lot of things are poisonous.
He's not the most terribly best at understanding why people do the things that they do, but with Rolgar, what you see is what you get. There is no hiding what he things or feels about something ... if he's happy, he looks it. If he's pissed, he certainly looks it.
At first glance one might think that Rolgar is nigh on fearless, but it's hardly the case. Sure, being in the top of a tree, or out in the middle of the raging ocean he doesn't bat an eye at. But stuff him in a cave, and he'll completely lock up. It's not the being enclosed that does it to him, it's the total, complete, never ending unbroken dark. Dark in general doesn't bother him, as long as there's something to be seen. Stars, a faint glow in a building way off yonder, he's fine. But when there is a total absence of any kind of light, and he becomes nigh on useless. Worse, he's a bit too big to be moved by anyone else around him.
Hobbies/Skills: Investigating the natural world around him, whether plant, or animal. Finding the medical uses in everything. He's not at all good at it, but he also likes to think he can play a recorder-instrument!
Pets: none and everything he can catch
History: Rolgar is the youngest of all his siblings, born into a family of hard workers. Accustomed to generations of rather strenuous labor, his family genetics tended strongly toward the big and stout. So, despite not being of the same persuasion craft-wise, Rolgar still inherited the rather large genes. While most of his family are things of the nature of metal smiths and stone workers and timbermen, Rolgar instead decided to become a Healer, as the nature of the craft interested him ... as well as having become rather good at patching his family members up when they managed to injure themselves while working.
Though it is quite odd initially to think, Rolgar is barely older than some of his nephews and nieces. Due to this, he is closer to some of them than his own siblings. As a young boy, he spent a lot of time running around and getting into trouble with his nephew Cemar, especially.
When he came of age, it only made sense for Rolgar to go into the Healer craft, rather than tote around metal or wood, bending it to his will. He journeyed off to the crafthall and began to study diligently ... and more than just the information presented to him. There was quite a lot, he thought, to be learned yet from the world at large. There was always something new to see, finger, and learn. It was entirely too quickly, he felt, that his masters could not answer his questions, especially when he started asking about the things he found here or there. This problem frustrated both his masters and himself. For to them, he was nothing but one question after another, and to him, they didn't have the answers!
So as it was, when Rolgar received word from his folks back home that something was afoot toward journeying to new lands to try and find some old people, Rolgar was certainly quite interested and curious. More questions spilled forth, and in the end he ended up getting drafted for the part. If only to get him out of his Masters' hair! Rolgar did not see it as that, however. He was a bright lad, adventurous no doubt. It was a new place, and he was eager to go see. Better yet, Cemar would be going, too!!

Dragon Information
Name: Apollath (Ah-pall-ath)
Impressed To: Rolgar (R'gar)
Color: Brown
Age: Newly Hatched
Description: A rather interesting color, Apollath is most aptly described as a golden brown. He is the same rich, attractive hue from his nose to his tail, a honey-tinted shade to his hide. The only variation that can be found is his slightly lighter, tawny belly and wingsails. His neckridges are a darker, chocolate brown. Not only is his coloration very attractive, but so is his conformations. The largest brown in his clutch, Apollath can look smaller bronzes right in the eyes when he matures. Built right in the middle, his muscle is neither bulkier nor smaller than the average brown, but just quite normal. One may think it would give him a lanky appearance with his massive size, but he manages to pull it off.
Personality: A very honor-bound dragon, Apollath will one day make an excellent wingsecond. He holds very strong morals and a dedication to his weyr that will drive him to push himself as he grows. When this brown gives his word, that is his bond, and he will never go back on it. He also holds a sense of personal dignity, and will not stand for anyone to ever question his honor. Through weyrling training, Apollath will strive to excel at everything, and will also expect his rider to do the same. He will imagine great things from himself and his bonded, and as he grows, this brown’s rider will find his training extremely intense.
With a sense of calm reason, Apollath hardly ever exhibits a temper. He thinks rather logically, and takes few affronts. The only true way to anger him is to insult the honor of him or His. This brown is rather talented at finding neutral solutions to any problem or situation, and is the voice of reason amidst chaos. He tends to think clearly in the most dangerous or heated of circumstances, and can break up nearly any fight amongst his clutchmates. Apollath will be a composed warrior, responding to any peril with cool, logical actions. With this rational demeanor, he will perhaps come off as aloof or arrogant, and at times he is. Occasionally, his sense of personal honor will cause him to be a bit of a ‘holier than thou’ dragon who can tick others off easily.
