(More of a story then an RP for Razia and Akorma. If someone wants to actually RP then feel free to join! Otherwise I'll probably just try to keep adding some more to this to get better interactions between Raz and Akorma)
A day of no weyrling lessons for Razia and no patrols for Akroma meant the two sisters had decided to spend a little time together. It was a weekly affair that Razia agreed to for two reasons; it gave her a chance to play chess against her sister (and beat her nine out of ten times), and Akroma was willing to send Nalaar out with short letters for Serra and their father. If not for those two things, Razia would have done her best to avoid her older sister.
The two met in the Weyrhall in between meals when it was quiet. As always Akroma was there first, the chess board already set up and ready while she sipped a cup of khal and absentmindedly stroked the head of her newer pet, a wild feline cub that she had taken in and named Shade. Though small for a wild feline, the cub was still a rather large animal to have around. At least he was no longer so small. As a small cub many people, Razia included, had made the mistake of forgetting that he was a wild animal. The feline would go along with the pets for a moment or two before he would lash out with claws and teeth. The cub had never hurt anyone badly but Akorma had done little to try and train this trait out of her pet. Shade was a wild animal, not a pet. If anyone was foolish enough to try and treat the beast like a common house pet then they needed to be taught a lesson. She had trained him so he didn’t attack at random, only those who made the mistake of touching him without her permission.
Razia took her seat across from her sister, eyeing Shade a bit. The cat looked up, feeling the eyes on him and yawned widely at Razia, showing off his sharp teeth.
“Are you sure it’s safe to have Shade in here?”
“Hm? Oh of course. He’s harmless to most people.”
Razia let out a snort, the cat had taken a special liking to her. At least Akroma claimed it was a liking. Shade had a fondness of nipping at her regardless of if she touched him or not. The sneaky thing had even followed her around the Weyr a few times, nipping at her heels from side passage ways. And now that Sulisanth was too big to follow her around in the Weyr, the cat had grown more bold in his stalking.
Razia pulled out two carefully folded sheets of paper, the name of her sister and father written carefully on them. She handed them over to her sister who tied them to the leg of her brown fire lizard before the flitter popped into Between to deliver them.
The siblings then started there game, Razia playing with the black pieces to give Akroma the chance to go first. It was a boring game for anyone who might have been watching, the pair took their time making their moves, barely speaking to each other. The first game was always a serious matter for the sisters; Razia often trying to keep a winning streak alive while Akroma played a bit more randomly, trying to find a way to throw her sister off her game.
The board slowly started to lose pieces, a black one here, a white one there. Nothing but pawns for awhile until Razia sacrificed a knight to draw out more of Akroma's pieces. The elder woman realized her mistake moments after she made it as a savage grin rose to Razia's lips. Her moves came faster now and more and more white pieces left the playing field as she dominated the rest of the game before finally declaring checkmate.
