The 9th pass came and went, and Thread is still Falling. AIVAS was wrong – Lessa's plan failed – Jaxom and Ruth were lost Between. Centuries later, they've been forgotten. It's the 11th pass in Ista Weyr, and Thread is Falling…but the story isn't as simple as that. During the 10th pass, a group of heroic bronzeriders came up with a plan to rescue the decimated Ista Weyr. During the following interval, fact became fiction, and these men became lore. Thankfulness and relief became the glorification of bronzeriders, which morphed into the Metallic Rule mindset. Go gold, or go home. Bronze or bust. Of course, chromatic riders aren't satisfied with the life they've been relegated to – they've tried to rebel once, but the movement fell apart when their leader was killed during Threadfall. Was it an accident, or did his Wingleader set him up with the intention of losing him during that Fall? It's taken fifteen turns, but the chromatic movement is finally getting its feet back underneath itself.
