K'vett still couldn't believe that D'isk had agreed to come with him back to his weyr. As the festivities in the Dining Hall had finally begun to settle, the bluerider hadn't wanted to simply say good bye to D'isk then, for fear that the next time he saw the greenrider their tentative relationship would regress. At least teaching D'isk how to dance had allowed them to become more familiar with touching each other, even if it was innocent. Fingers laced loosely with D'isk's, K'vett led the man to his ground-level weyr. As an Assistant Weyrlingmaster he had to maintain a weyr on the ground level so that Weyrlings who couldn't fly yet could reach him at all times.
"I can't believe you were nervous about dancing," he said as they walked, "you seemed like a natural to me." It was true that D'isk had possessed more grace than K'vett had expected.
Arriving at his weyr, K'vett pushed the door open, breaking contact with D'isk for the first time since the feast as he moved through the darkened weyr and unshuttered all of the glow baskets. The glows cast a soft light over the weyr, illuminating things long enough for K'vett to also light a couple of candles that washed the room with an orange light. Now that they were here, and alone, even K'vett was feeling a bit nervous, not because he was unsure of himself, he'd had plenty of sexual partners, but because he was unsure of how to proceed with someone as shy as D'isk.

Accepting invitations into personal weyrs was highly irregular of D'isk. It was made even more irregular by the fact that this was the weyr of someone that D'isk was emotionally invested in. When the offer had come, D'isk had stuttered an acceptance before his brain could catch up with his mouth. Kalith had sent him lots of encouraging emotions, and that had helped. The Weyrlingmaster's weyr was grounded, and thus it was far below D'isk's own. As a Greenrider, D'isk was used to higher weyrs and Kalith loved the dizzlingly high Green weyrs because of her great love for flight, but Kalith found Kavanth's and K'vett'e weyr easily enough. The Green entered and let out a soft trill at the Blue. She was pleased with the events of the night so far, and she wanted to gossip with Kavanth as their riders did what riders do. As for D'isk, he was looking around with the curiosity of a person entering a new place. He was standing awkwardly by the entrance where he had been left while K'vett brought some light to the room. This was usually when D'isk said something stupid, and knowing that, the Greenrider tried to keep his mouth shut. D'isk was never good at keeping quiet though. "So, uh, dancing was fun."

K'vett smiled at the hesitant way D'isk stood at the entry way of his weyr. It was obvious that this wasn't something that the greenrider did often, if ever. He was going to have to take things slow and easy, he reminded himself again, or else D'isk might panic and bolt on him. Walking over to the greenrider, K'vett took the man's hands and pulled him further into the weyr, "Don't be shy. Make yourself comfortable." He insisted as he pointed to the lounge and then set about retrieving two wine glasses. It was apparent that D'isk might need a little more help with his nerves. Not that K'vett wanted him so drunk that he was making decision he would regret later.
Kalith, it is so nice for you to be able to join me. Kavanth said pleasantly as the green arrived on his ledge.

D'isk allowed himself to be pulled further into K'vett's weyr, and tried to relax a little. It was a bit easier after K'vett told him to "make himself at home." The Greenrider may have had no idea how to act in another's weyr, but he knew how he acted in his. Seating himself, D'isk pulled off his boots and curled his legs beneath him in a more comfortable and natural position for him. Once he was comfortable, D'isk watched K'vett as he moved about fetching the wine glasses. D'isk had been checking out the other rider all night, but he couldn't resist the chance to continue. Just because D'isk was shy didn't mean he couldn't enjoy looking at K'vett. Kalith on the other hand had no qualms about being in Kavanth's weyr, and she went about curling up beside the bigger Blue. Unlike her rider, Kalith loved flirting with the Blues. Browns and Bronzes were too big for Kalith's personal tastes because she liked fast and agile, but everything was possible in a Flight. Kavanth, it is wonderful to be here. The night is warm, and warmth should be shared.

K'vett took the glasses of wine over to the lounge where D'isk had seated himself. He smiled at the way the greenrider actually seemed to make himself comfortable. Holding out a glass of wine to the man, K'vett joined D'isk on the couch, seating himself directly beside of the man so that their knees brushed.
"Here you are." The bluerider said as he handed the glass of wine to D'isk, "So tell me about yourself, D'isk," he started off, hoping that a little bit of conversation would help the greenrider relax, "where do you come from? When did you Impress?"
Outside Kavanth took the liberty of sweeping one blue wing over Kalith as he rubbed his neck against hers. Yes, his rider had better not mess this up!

Accepting the glass of wine that K'vett offered him, D'isk took a small sip as the Bluerider settled. Wine had been something of a novelty when D'isk first came to the Weyr because there wasn't an abundance among the Holdless and only the ranking members got the real good stuff. Now D'isk didn't think anything of receiving a glass with meals or having a couple skins in his personal quarters. That was another things that D'isk had never had before he came to the Weyr, privacy. His life was drastically better, and D'isk loved it. Still his past shamed him, so when K'vett asked him about where he came from the modified version rolled of his tongue with easy practice. It wasn't a lie, per se, but it left out the small fact that he was formerly Holdless. "I was Searched from a small cothold whose name you probably wouldn't know. It was pretty far into the wilds, and I had planned on moving closer to the Weyr. This was about four and a half turns ago, and I Impressed at my first standing which was Gold Aeriath's forth cluth by Bronze Zorometh. Kalith was one of the last to hatch, and I was quite certain I wasn't going to Impress at all. Then she comes exploding out of her egg without any warning so that she can come barreling at me like a rampaging herdbeast. She almost knocked me over too." D'isk was smiling into his wineglass as he remembered some of the happiest moments of his life. "What about you? What's your story?" As the two riders talked, Kalith preened under the welcome attention of the handsome Blue. She nestled further under Kavanth's larger wing and returned the affectionate gesture. Kavanth was exactly the wild Green's type. She had seen him flying often, and liked his style. For Kalith, that was considered high praise.

K'vett smiled as he listened to D'isk recount the way he impressed Kalith. The man's upbringing explained why he was so shy, especially about the advances of other men. Holding his glass of wine in one hand, the bluerider idly stroke circles on D'isk's knee as he considered the greenrider's questions.
"I was born in the Weyr, not Refuge, but near by. My dad is the Captain of the Weyr Guard there, and my mother a lower cavern's worker. I have only one sibling- a brother named J'dae, he rides a brown at Haven. He was my best friend growing up, I still miss him sometimes, but I wanted to be independent. I impressed Kavanth here. He came straight to me on the Hatching Sands without a moments hesitation." The bluerider recalled with a fond smile.
"After a while I decided to help out with the Weyrlings because..." he shrugged, "I guess I just enjoyed Weyrlinghood so much that I wanted to help other youngsters get through it."
Downing the rest of the glass of wine, K'vett turned his eyes back onto D'isk, his blue orbs darkening with lust, "Now, come, I think we've had enough wine and talk." He stood and offered his hand to the greenrider- his intent to take D'isk to his bed.

D'isk watched the hand tracing circles on his knee lazily. There was something about watching hands in motion that captivated the younger man. Only when the Bluerider stopped did D'isk finally look up. K'vett was finishing the last of his wine, and D'isk looked guiltily towards the large portion of wine that remained in his. There was no way he would be able to drain that in one go. Instead, D'isk opted to just kind of set it down discretely next to K'vett's empty one. Looking at K'vett as he stood, D'isk was caught off guard by the sudden invitation bed. D'isk wasn't stupid, he knew that there was a good possibility that this was how the night would play out, but he wasn't entirely sure he was ready. What if K'vett thought he was easy? Well considering the fact that he rode a Green, most people would consider him easy. Great, now he was hesitating. D'isk didn't want to offend K'vett by seeming reluctant, but he also kind of wanted some assurances that this wasn't a one night thing. Taking K'vett's hand hesitantly, D'isk stood slowly. He imagined that he rather looked like a spooked runnerbeast, ready to bolt.
