Rolling over in his sleep, T’shiro felt the warmth of Vaylee next to him -but his brain momentarily registered that as an unwelcome irregularity. Not to mention the irregularity of the fact that he was horizontal. Sleeping in a cozy bed was something he'd only begun to get used to since moving into the Weyr, but that changed when the Holdless attacked. He’d not slept in his own bed now for several months. Consciousness gradually returned to him as the hazy visions of a dream state phased into a remembrance of the night the two of them had shared. Hazel eyes opened with reluctance and T’shiro sat up in bed. The Bronzerider’s gaze settled over Vaylee, watching over her where she lay. While T’shiro took that that moment to appreciate the Greenrider’s presence, he reached down to her, fingertips pausing as they gingerly brushed against her. With a tenderness he wasn’t accustomed to exploring, the Bronzerider stroked through the tumbles of tresses that caressed her bare skin. Remaining there for a moment, T’shiro wondered if he could wake her to replay the more exciting events of their evening together, but then again,...he equally disliked the idea of disturbing her beauty sleep. She really looked so peaceful there. Rubbing a hand down his face in an attempt to diminish the drowsiness he felt, T’shiro took a deep breath and then got out of bed,...of course, making sure to nestle the sheets back around Vaylee’s shoulders. While pulling on some boxers, he wondered when he’d fallen asleep. He must have had more alcohol than he thought. Or the two of them must have really had a rough n tumble. In the darkness, a smirk curled up at the corners of his lips, recalling everything a bit more vividly. Again, the Bronzerider felt the urge to wake Vaylee for more primitive needs, but an involuntary yawn tried to drown out the idea...again. Uhg. Maybe he should just go back to sleep. Grumbling to himself, T’shiro ran fingers back through his hair. He knelt beside the bed at the base of a clothing armoire, pulling open a drawer to remove one of his short swords. Returning the drawer to its former place, he didn’t have to get up to pivot himself into a sitting position with back against one side of the armoire. T’shiro drew one knee toward his chest, folding an arm around it comfortably; his sword’s hilt leaned into his shoulder. While the Bronzerider’s head relaxed against the armoire, those dark hazel orbs peered through the dim light of night to find Vaylee, waiting to see if she stirred. Temptation clawed at him still, making it difficult to not want to crawl back into bed. But the thought proved just as discomforting, even if all he wanted to do was sleep. He was used to sleeping sitting up.

Sleep was a rare commodity to someone who seemed to get less and less of it every evening. Vaylee was out before she could even begin to enjoy snuggling with the Bronzerider beside her. This would bother her come morning because she loved the feeling of being held by strong comforting arms. Unaware of T’shiro’s movement she continued to sleep peacefully. Her body was quiet, still, unmoving and starting to get a little less warm. Absently an arm sought out the body of the man who had been beside her only to find nothing but leftover warmth where T’shiro had been.
The grogginess of her mind did not allow her to think past the, oh well, he left before I got a chance to. It took a few more restless moments for the blonde to fully open her eyes. The room was dark, so dark it could not be close to morning just yet. She was not in her weyr so why would he have left? The question grabbed hold of her mind as she began to unveil the reality that she had woken up because he had gotten out of bed. Men were so unfair sometimes. He owed her for this, she just had to think of a way to get him back.
Lifting her head off the pillow, her blonde hair came forward almost covering her nakedness. Vaylee did not pull the covers up to hide her body from the eyes of others. She was no prudish little girl who wanted to keep herself from looking anything but pure in the eyes of men. Vaylee was too wanton for that. Finally, her eyes settled on T’shiro’s in the darkness. They stayed there for only moment before admiring the rest of his body to what degree they could in the dark.
Her smile was almost wicked in its playful nature, “Well.” Vaylee was going to get her way at some point this evening. “Are you going to stay all the way over there by yourself or come back to bed with me?” Anyone with any brains would choose the bed at this point. It wasn’t like she was suggesting they sleep now. She couldn’t at this point but she could enjoy more of what precious free-time she had. T’shiro would catch on, she was sure. Thus far he had proven he knew how to play this game very well.

Eyes having already adjusted to the dimness of light, T'shiro watched Vaylee sit up in bed, admiring her slender frame and the way that cascade hair draped her naked body. Even under the pale light of night, his intent gaze reflected hunger. He must have been ravaging her in his mind. “Are you going to stay all the way over there by yourself or come back to bed with me?”The man's lips drew into a whit of a grin at that -barely perceptible from where he was at in the shadows. "Well as long as you weren't intending on going back to sleep anytime soon."With a fluidity probably unexpected of him even after their dances together at the celebration, T'shiro was on his feet, discarded of his blade and crawling back into bed. When his hands took hold of Vaylee, pressing her back onto the bed, they were no longer the hands of a fighter, but of a lover; offering to be attentive of her body in any way.

She giggled playfully, “Oh but now I’m rested up and ready for some fun.” He had her hands before she could finish her thoughts. Her blue eyes peering up at him, shone with excitement. The newness of their little tryst made things all the more interesting. She didn’t know him well enough to know what he might do next. Surprises were exhilarating and enthralling. Vaylee lifted herself up to kiss him softly and patiently at first but becoming a harder more urgent kiss by the end of it. Taking a breather she whispered in his ear, “No sleep for the wicked.”
---black out scene---
Drawing in a deep breath, she found herself finally catching up to her normal rhythm. The morning was coming, she could see the pre-dawn light from where she lay on his bed. Normally she would have been long gone but she really had wanted that snuggle. How many times had sleep been interrupted in the night? She couldn’t recall but her body was telling her she needed to get some rest. Rolling onto her side from her back, she looked over at T’shiro.
She scooted nearer to his warmth, laying an arm on his chest and nestling her head into his shoulder. “Sleepy?” She asked with a yawn of her own. Perhaps they both needed some rest now and she could stay a little longer. If he was getting up though, there would be no point in staying there. She would go home, get a good bath and sun with Cupith for a while before Infirmary duties beckoned.

The soft touch of her silky skin against him, and the caress of her voice upon his ear brought consciousness back to him. “Sleepy?” With an incomprehensible groan, T'shiro had roused enough to lock her in his snuggly embrace. Even against his hard chest, she could find comfort there -and there was no escape. After such an energetic, sleepless night, the Bronzerider wasn't about to make himself get up, and if he wasn't getting up, he certainly wouldn't let her get away with it. T'shiro would keep her there with him as long as she allowed it.
