Sorlen is a handsome man that stands at a respectable height of 6'2. His hair is dark brown and curly when he grows it out more then a few inches. His eyes are a lighter shade of brown but always serious looking. He grows out a bit of facial hair, a short mustache and goatee that he'll some times let grow out a bit but generally keeps it short and neatly trimmed.
Since Sorlen is part of the Holdless, he's lived a life full of hard work and it shows. His skin is deeply tanned from hours spend under the sun. His body is fit and muscular, and dotted with scars that he's earned through fights of one kind of another.
He wears whatever he can get his hands on, so long as it fits. The thought of people being picky enough to only wear certain colors or styles seems quite stupid to the Holdless.
Personality:
Sorlen has never been known for his calm personality. In fact, he's better known for having a short temper. He takes things far too personally and any time someone criticizes him he sees it as a direct insult to himself. His short temper has stopped Riverton from sending him out on raids or other missions for fear that the boy won't listen to others and will ruin all their efforts. Realizing that his temper is part of the reason why he hasn't been allowed to prove himself to the leader of the Holdless has caused the man to try and tame it.
Of course just because he knows that his temper is a problem doesn't mean it's the only thing he blames for holding him back. Sorlen feels that he's also being held back by certain members of his family *coughLaurecough*. Both of his parents are respected by the Holdless but some of his siblings have embarrassed and shamed him. Right now the only thing he cares about his dragging his little sister back to the Holdless, by her hair if he has to. If he can bring Laure back before she ruins everything for them, Sorlen believes he'll finally earn Riverton's, and his parents, respect.
If there's one aspect to himself that Sorlen likes best, it's his loyalty to the Holdless. While his sister is a wretched little turncoat, he's fully committed to the Holdless and their cause. He hopes to one day prove himself to be a hero to the Holdless, helping to slay the horrible and oppressive dragon riders and their stupid flying lizards.
Hobbies/Skills:
-Hunting: Sorlen has learned how to hunt from his father. He's not as naturally talented but he's good enough that once in a while he gets to go on hunting parties. The bow is his weapon of choice though he uses traps as well.
-Tracking: He's a better tracker then hunter, maybe on par with some of the younger Shield members.
-Stealth: You don't go 19 turns living in the middle of a dangerous forest without learning how to be quiet.

History:
Sorlen was his parents sixth child and until he showed that he could be good for more then using up the Holdless' resources, his parents barely paid him any attention. It wasn't that his parents were cruel to him, but life for the Holdless was cruel in general. His father was out hunting more often then not, while his mother was busy cooking for the camp. His siblings raised him and once he was old enough, he was expected to help with those that were younger then him.
Of course telling a seven year old boy to watch after his four year old sister rarely worked out very well as he was more interested in trying to gain attention from his parents. Instead he was only scolded for leaving his younger siblings alone and grew to resent them a bit.
When he was thirteen he finally earned some praise form his father. The boy turned out to be fairly good with a bow, he'd never be the sort of marksmen you'd trust to shoot an apple off your head but he could hit a moving target fairly well. On his first hunting trip, his father realized that Sorlen's skills were better used as a tracker, he had a sharp eye for small things and grew far less frustrated tracking then he did hunting.
Of course hunting was not the only thing that frustrated the young man and he soon earned a reputation for having a short temper. While his he had a hard time controlling his temper, he quickly learned that hitting things as hard as he could was not always the best way to deal with things, especially when Riverton was around. His habit of picking fights with people made the leader of the Holdless leave him out of things, taking an unruly man along on a mission was not worth the risk. Hating the fact that he was being left out of everything that he wanted, Sorlen worked on controlling his temper, or at least controlling his fists. It worked and slowly the young man was allowed to go on a few missions, nothing vital but enough to make him stop his whining and test his skills.
Sorlen was still one of the people left behind at the Holdless camp when the attack on Haven happened. Neither Riverton nor his parents thought he would be suitable for such a thing and made him stay back and keep an eye on things at home. Sorlen was insulted and angry at having to stay back but wisely kept his mouth shut about it when the raid came back victoriously. He instead tried to work hard to show that he would be ready for the next attack against the dragon riders.
Of course any chance Sorlen felt he had at joining the next raid vanished when his sister ran away. He was the first to realize that Laure wasn't there and that no one had seen her for a day or two. Her running away felt like a slap in the face to him. Of course he knew that she disliked it at the camp, everyone knew that. She did nothing but shame their family. But he had never thought that she would do something like this to them all. He took it personally that she ran away and immediately demanded to go find her and bring her back. His request was denied and he was informed that instead of going after his sister, he could prove how loyal he was to the Holdless by taking on an important mission to go check out the defenses around Refuge Weyr. Without even thinking of the dangerous, Sorlen agreed to the mission.
Dragon Information
Name: Fenrith
Age: newly Hatched, 1260
Color: Blue
Appearance:
Sapphire blue is what one thinks of when they see Fenrith. His hide copies the gems color so perfectly that one would think he was painted that way. There is no blemish to the deep vibrant blue color, no speckles or mottling or even striations. His hide is the same from knobbed head to clawed foot. There is not even a darkening above the eyeridges. Fenrith’s claws are also sapphire blue in color. There are brighter colored blues and even darker colored blues so Fenrith’s hide is easily missed among the masses however easy to distinguish up close.
The blue’s body is no larger nor smaller than most. He will grow to be about 27.6 meters. Perfection is a word most wouldn’t use to explain a dragon but Fenrith’s size and proportions are practically perfect. He would be a prime example of what a blue is supposed to look like and might in fact be a better flier for it. He will be successful in mating flights as well, whether his rider likes it or not. He was built to fight thread and chase greens.
Personality: An active, outgoing blue, Fenrith is hard to keep at ease. He is constantly bending the rules, pushing out of the box in which he should think inside and always seems to have a problem with authority. He likes to be in charge of his own destiny. For a dragon he is quite combative, wanting to prove himself stronger, smarter, faster and in all ways better than anyone else. He initiates contact with others rather than waiting to be spoken to. Hot headed, he is easily angered and when he is does not calm down easily. (He has a thing for wanting to flame dragon’s tails off when angry.)
He is unafraid of pushing his ideas onto other dragons. Fenrith is very assertive and will be bold in making his own demands known. He often wants to be the first to do something partly because he likes leading, despite blue dragons reputations for being mellow. He also likes to be first because he wants to say he discovered something before another did. Despite his outgoing and aggressive nature, Fenrith can be a bit naive when it comes to the world of dragons. The blue wants to be in charge but does not know how to deal with the complexities and consequences that come with such status.
