What would you like to be called OOC? Ise
Character Info:
Name: U’ski (formerly Ulanski)

Gender:Male

Older Brother: Chorous (left the weyr and lives with his wife in a cothold)
Older Brother: Ularan (Weyr guard, currently helping at Haven)
Younger Sister: Ranous (cares for their parents and fosters weyrbrats)
Appearance:
Playby: Isaiah Mustafa
“I am one ridiculously handsome man.”
Yes, the 6'6 tall man is a good looking guy. His skin is a rich brown with no scars or other marks to ruin it. His eyes are a dark chocolate brown, and highly expressive. His black hair is kept short, just long enough to be fuzzy, he also keeps a neatly trimmed goatee.
It’s pretty obvious that U’ski is a very physically fit man. Lean and tone muscles cover his body, a sign of all the hard work that he’s done over the years.
For clothing, most of U'ski's things are well worn and cared for. He'll do anything he can to make them last just a little longer. He's got one set of clothing for gatherings and other special things but even those are starting to show their age a bit. He also carries a monocle around on him, the site in his right eye has gotten a little bad, though he only needs it for reading paper work.
U’ski’s left arm is currently in a cast thanks to an accident during wing drills.
Personality: When not being the Weyrling Master or anything else of importance, U’ski is a quiet man. He’s not shy or anything like that, he’s quite comfortable around other people. But he doesn’t feel the need to have everyone’s attention, especially after a day of trying to teach weyrlings.
With his friends and other people he’s close to, U’ski can be a bit vain but he enjoys poking fun at himself. He’s got a sense of humor that doesn’t always come out when he’s in public.
As the current Weyrling Master, U’ski expects a lot out of the new riders. He has no time, nor interest in coddling them or putting up with the ones that get rowdy. He takes the position of Weyrling Master very seriously, knowing that these future riders will be a reflection on himself.
Hobbies/Skills:
Pets:
History: Ulanski was the third son to his parents. As a child he was nothing special, never drove the Headwoman nuts, wasn’t one of those smart kids the harpers liked best, he was just a hard working kid.
Having been born into the Weyr and being around dragons his whole life, Ulanski knew that all he wanted to do was be a rider. The riders were heroes, the people who would save the day from Thread and everything else. As he grew up he realized that dragons and their riders weren’t quite that magical but they were still something that gave most people hope. He wanted to be a part of that and did everything he could to try and Impress the search dragons and the Candidate master.
Ulanski made his mark on the people that counted and when he was twelve he was allowed to stand at his first hatching. He didn’t Impress, which was something he had been told to expect, but the excitement of the event was enough for him. It wasn’t until his third standing that his blue hatched and he Impressed. It was a small clutch, but a lucky one where the first dragon hatched was a bronze and Impressed to one of the future Weyrleaders. The third dragon hatched was a blue, one that took his time before finding Ulanski and Impressing to the young man.
Toroth was a small hatchling at first but was one of the faster growing dragons, for a week he was even bigger then the bronze dragon. The two worked hard in classes but never stood out. Neither felt the urge to try and be a leader, not when they were in the same classes as D’seus. But they never slacked off and proved they were good, stable pair.
After graduating and become a full fledge rider, U’ski soon found himself growing bored. There was no Thread to fight and nothing scarier then a wild feline to deal with. Every day was the same thing, drills, drills and then some more drills. When H’nen came around looking for a new assistant weyrling master, U’ski jumped at the chance, just so he could do something different once in a while. He actually enjoyed it too. His job was mostly to help set things up and then to keep an eye on the weyrlings while they were in lessons, and even out of lessons some days, and to take over when H’nen was unable to teach.
Though U’ski didn’t agree with letting the Northerners Impress, he helped train and teach them as best he could without letting his dislike show. By the time they graduated, he even liked a couple of them though still didn’t trust any of them farther then he could throw them.
During one of the first drills with the new riders, U’ski got into an accident with one of them. It wasn’t bad, Toroth was fine but U’ski was knocked off and fell hard enough to break his left arm. Unable to fly until his arm is fully healed, it was decided that H’nan would devote his time fully to the wing in preparation of Thread Fall while U’ski took over lessons, just in time for the new group of Weyrlings.
Dragon Info
Name: Toroth
Color: Blue
Age: 19
Description: Toroth’s main coloring is a rich shade of midnight blue. It’s a few shades too light to be mistaken for black unless it’s dim out. His chest and belly has a light smattering of a periwinkle blue. His head knobs, right around his eyes and claws are all black.
Size-wise, Toroth is a big larger then other blues but he’s far from the biggest. He’s got the typical slim and agile build, made for speed and tricks, not for flying long distances.
Personality: For the most part, Toroth is an easy going dragon. He doesn’t like getting into arguments, they’re a waste of time. Especially arguments with greens, just wait five minutes and they’ll forget what you were fighting about. Nor does he feel the need to get on the bad side of bronze or gold dragons, both of whom will remember what the argument was. Toroth would much rather enjoy a quiet day near the lake, sunning and swimming.
While Toroth is just a blue dragon, his rank does mean that he expects the young dragons to show him respect. He is more then willing to smack a smart mouth hatchling around. And hearing this dragon’s angry growl is usually enough to make the riders settle down and behave themselves.
Toroth hates tunnel snakes. Haaaates them. He doesn’t fear them, just has a great dislike of them.
History: Breaking through his shell had been a pain but at least he wasn’t the last one to hatch. He shook shell and goo from his hide, stretching out his wings and giving them a few awkward flaps to help dry them off. Toroth then sat down on the hot sands, his whirling blue eyes looking each of the boys that stood in front of him over. He was in no hurry, he wanted to make sure that he chose the right person and didn’t rush into this.
Another egged cracked open behind him but he ignored it. He knew he wouldn’t have to fight his brothers or sisters for the right person. His eyes kept coming back to one boy. He finally stood and nudged past a few of the other candidates to get to the one he had chosen.
Come U’ski, your Toroth is rather hungry now.[/color]
His tone was firm, not giving the boy a chance to argue or even be stunned at the fact that he had Impressed. The blue was even more pleased when the boy followed after him, clearly giddy but knowing that Impressing a dragon just mean he had more work ahead of him.
Clutch: Gold Marskath and Bronze Resonth
Hatching Order: Third
Text Color: 000033
Mind Voice: Samuel L. Jackson A rich and deep voice. Most of the time it’s a very pleasant voice but when he gets mad? Well, hope you’re not one of those tunnel snakes he hates.
