KaelitzaDragonshield Member Unacceptable.
This was absolutely, irreversibly, beyond the shadow of a doubt under Faranth’s Golden Egg simply unacceptable! The female was furious; fuming even, as she stormed out of her sleeping quarters where her jungle feline was currently curled in the area designed for her – with Leeto no less! That good for nothing lazy bum and poor excuse of a jungle feline was in her chambers; with her Kulah. What was more, already Kaelitza could see the faint bump beginning to form around the feline’s belly area; that Faranth be damned male cat had gotten her sweet young Kulah pregnant!
”KYRAH!?”
As she stormed into the area where most of the shielders met when off duty the brunette quickly scanned the place for the mop of red hair that belonged to her long time rival since their recruit days into the Dragonshield, eyes narrowing dangerously as she zeroed in on her new prey. Keeping up with her long strides she soon shortened the distance between them, hands slamming into the wooden table surface before she glared daggers at her once fellow recruit.
”Get your filthy mongrel’s ass out of my chambers. Now.”
By the way her nails almost dug into the surface of the table it was pretty clear Kaelitza was anything but a happy camper about this whole current issue at hand.

She was happily minding her own business when a harpy whose unnaturally annoying voice ruined her breakfast. Her name called, Kyrah did nothing to move from her seat instead rolling her eyes and taking another bite out of her redfruit. Kaelitza was angry and obviously blamed her for her unhappiness as usual. Seriously the girl needed a hobby or something, she thought as she stood up to defend Leeto. There was not much she really had to say to an already upset Kaelitza. The girl would rant and rave until someone gave her her way. Sadly Kyrah had never been in the business of giving up or giving in.
“Why should I do anything for you?” Her voice rang above all other conversations in the room. The whisps of her hair framing her pale collected face as she stood in front of a very annoyed Kaelitza. The fact that the other woman was already angry meant she couldn’t possibly be the entire cause. Although she really had never minded being on the receiving end of the other Shield’s hate. The feeling was quite mutual. She trusted Kaelitza as much as she trusted a Northern Lord.
She was not entirely sure why Leeto was bothering the other Shield’s feline but she could hazard a few guesses. No doubt, she was about to find out all about it in a moment. “Why is he in your chambers anyway? It’s not like him to just let himself in to any place without permission.” Which was very true. Leeto knew his manners but if he was following Kula in, maybe he thought he was invited.
His interest in the other feline had become almost nauseating. He had taken to following her around like a love sick lizard. Whatever the reason for him being there, she needed only to tell him to leave or have Kula send him away and he would go. Ky really didn’t think the two of them needed to talk at all. If Kaelitza continued to push the matter, the collected red head before her would become quite the opposite.

KaelitzaDragonshield Member It really had been nauseating to see the damn Leeto following her Kulah everyway more strongly than usual in the past couple of sevendays. While as cubs sometimes they had spent some time together it wasn’t as odd and unusual as in the past days; not to mention Kulah had also spent more time with some of the other few jungle felines owned by the other shield members. Perhaps what had made this all so odd for the brunette had been the fact of finding the male lounging around her chambers recently; certainly not invited by herself. And it was highly unusual for Kulah to allow others in what she considered her territory.
”You should do it, and quite quickly, before I decide his pelt might just make a very good winter coat for next season Kyrah.”
It wasn’t a secret that the red head’s and the brunette’s dislike for each other was mutual; though no one could or would probably ever discern why exactly. It was simply a clash of personalities, and perhaps deep down both girls had respect for one another for their own unique abilities. That they would ever admit it to one another, however, was as unlikely as a dragon from the past or future jumping into their time again.
Sakorai excluded in this, of course, it didn’t count that it’d already happened once.
”Why? You really can’t phantom why in Faranth’s golden shell of the First Egg your Red Star spawned jungle cat is hounding my Kulah? Here, let me give you a hint: I just loss possibly at least a full four sevendays of training with her due to this. And probably four to eight more sevendays after her recent condition is done due to her pampering some new kits.”
By no her voice had lowered down to normal levels, though her features hadn’t softened at all. It wasn’t the fact her Kulah was pregnant that really had her pissed, though it did bothered her a bit as well. No, it was that out of all the male cats in the whole Southern Continent it had to be Kyrah’s Leeto the one that sired this litter; Kulah’s first litter.
The nerve of that damned cat.

She did not just threaten to kill Leeto. The red head’s eyes narrowed, her calm voice took on a very serious edge and her shoulders squared off in a defensive way. “Touch Leeto and I will kill you.” Kyrah could care less how angry the other Shield was. No one messed with her family. Her family just happened to consist of a Firelizard and a Jungle Feline and occasionally her mother and half siblings. She had killed before, even if then she had a valid reason. Being verbally threatened was not something Kyrah herself responded well to, so she highly doubted Kaelitza would take it well either.
“Oh so you’re angry at me that your Kulah is whoring around?” Typical. The other woman could not stand to be at fault for anything. So it was no surprise she would blame Leeto for Kulah’s pregnancy. “Faranth, get over it! You have a female Jungle Feline. Did you think she was going to remain celibate till the day she died? The only problem you have with my Leeto is that he is mine.” Ky had to admit, she was kind of excited about the prospect of Leeto babies at the Weyr. They were so adorable as little babies. She remembered him when he was small, although he never really was that small compared to the others. He was bound to attract a female mate eventually.
She would have been happier had he chosen to pursue another Feline but as I was, there was nothing she could do to change it. Deciding that even if she got Leeto out of Kaelitza’s chambers her efforts would be fruitless she came to his defense. “There is no larger male Jungle Feline at the Weyr. He would make a good sire for any litter she might have and obviously is being quite the diligent and attentive mate.” She should be so lucky! “Even if I told him to leave if Kulah went looking for him, he’d just end up right back in your Chambers. The whole activity would be completely pointless. If you’d prefer Leeto be with me, then I’m afraid Kulah would have to stay with me as well. Its really the only way your chambers will be left unguarded.” Kyrah was fairly certain that’s what he was doing anyway. Protecting her from danger and other males who might want to take his territory.
“Get off your damned high runner, and start thinking rationally!”

KaelitzaDragonshield Member ”My Kulah was not whoring around, your Leeto’s been the one stalkingher for the past several sevendays.”
It was a fact, Kulah rarely got along with other felines saved on spare occasions; and usually then it was to wrestle them into the ground if she could. At first she had been just as disdainful towards Leeto’s presence as all the others, so Kaelitza had stopped paying attention. As Kyrah mentioned the elephant in the room Kaelitza simple snorted in reply, before finally sitting down.
”Yes, the problem I have is that it’s your feline.”
Much like the redhead the prospect of furry little fur balls around the Weyr did excite Kaelitza as well; Kulah had been so irresistible when she was a cub that Kaelitza couldn’t wait to see what kits she would birth soon enough. And yes, logically Leeto was the best choice out of all the male jungle cats in the Weyr; big and strong, albeit quite lazy really, he really did seem like the doting mate. Her Kulah had chosen well.
Kaelitza just didn’t like the feline had to be related to Kyrah of all people, why couldn’t he belong to Marle or some other shield member? With a heavy sigh she waved her hand as a form of dismissal, turning to look elsewhere as she replied to the other shield member.
Kulah’s not going to your chambers, she stays with me. So your Leeto have better be as trained as you claim; if he but trashes any of my possessions I’m holding you accountable for it all.”
She wasn’t pleased by this all, but she wasn’t about to be irrational all the way. Now that her temper had calmed down somewhat Kaelitza was starting to view the whole issue with a more logical light.
Though that irrational side of her brain still wished it had been anyone other than Kyrah in front of her.

In an attempt to not say anything more snarky than she already had, the red head bit the inside of her cheek. She was working on controlling her temper which often got the better of her. In this situation she would prefer not to get into a fist fight. There were several reasons for this she would prefer not to entertain at the moment. A Shield knew when not to cross the line and though Kyrah had been in fights before, she knew it was expected of her to keep her cool. Especially with other Shield members no matter how irritating they were.
The hatred she had for the other woman started off as a simple rivalry but it had escalated over time. There was nothing about Kaelitza, Kyrah liked. Even Kulah at times made her irritated although she would never blame the Feline for the faults of her owner. All this whiny bull shit needed to stop. Kyrah did not have the patience nor the cool headedness to listen to the other woman much longer.
“Cry me a river, build me a bridge and get the fuck over it.” Kyrah’s eyes had narrowed ever so slightly. If Kae wanted a fight perhaps she might get her wish. “He’s a Feline, not a human. She must have been in heat only you were too self-absorbed to notice. Next time lock her up and keep her away from the males if you don’t want her to get pregnant.” This was in no way her fault. Nor was it Leeto’s. He was behaving perfectly natural considering the situation.
“Of course you will.” She said. “You mistreat him in any way and I’ll allow him to rip your chest open and eat your beating heart. That is if you have one.” If Leeto failed to do so, Kyrah would do it for him. She was not going to disguise the fact she did not like Leeto spending so much time with the other woman but it was the only solution till the kits were old enough to be placed with other people.
Hopefully, Kaelitza was not dumb enough to think she could keep them and have them all under control all the time. Then again, Kyrah would not put it past her.

KaelitzaDragonshield Member It almost took all she had to not jump the woman there and then, something about Kyrah simply brought up the ugly side of her personality always. Kaelitza had never liked spending any amount of time with the other woman; and now that her Kulah was expecting Kyrah’s Leeto cubs... well she was certain this wouldn’t be the last time she directed a word to the redhead.
”Hmph, I doubt your lazy feline could even muster the strength to do something other than snore.”
Kyrah’s threats to have Leeto gut her heart out were dismissed with a wave of her hand; she was really not in the mood for such banter at the moment – least she ended up socking the other shielder in the face right then and there. While nothing would have brought her more pleasure Kaelitza herself knew just as well as Kyrah the implications and punishment such an action would befall upon them later.
Already her training time with Kulah had been messed up thanks to Leeto, she didn’t need finding herself with even less time to train the feline afterwards due to a silly fist fight with someone who wasn’t worth her time.
”Soon as the cubs are weaned and adopted I want him out of my chambers.”
She could not wait long enough for that to finally happen, though the matter of the sire’s owner aside Kaelitza was still rather excited about Kulah’s first litter. How many would she have? Would any share her distinct coat pattern? A frown soon took over her features, however, as a more serious question popped into mind. To whom would they be adopted to once they were old enough to be on their own?
It was ridiculous to even dream of keeping them all; even one would be too time consuming in Kaelitza’s honest opinion; but she didn’t want them going to just anyone. She would have to pay close attention to her fellow Shieldmembers from now on, see which of them might be better qualified for the honor of caring over one of her Kulah’s future cubs.
