Character Info:
Name: Tishu
Age: 15
Gender:Female
Rank: Candidate
face clame Miley Sirus;
Family:
Tisten-64 (mother),
Ursher-66 (father),
Isther-46 (brother),
Trusher-45 (brother),
Ushten-44 (brother),
Sauthen-41 (sister).
Appearance:
Tishu has waist length brown hair that boasts its many different sun streaked highlights that range from red to Blond. Her wide spaced eyes change from green to blue depending on her mood and what she is wearing. Her teeth aren't perfectly straight but they are white and in good condition. Her skin tone is a healthy tanned color. She has a birthmark on the top of her left shoulder where her collar bone attachs, its about the size of a thumb print and perfectly round in shape. It's a bit darker then her skin but hides well under the straps of most tops she wears. She stands at 5'4" but she has started to grow. She is filling out in all the right places and soon will look better when she finishes filling out her medium built frame.
Tishu's favorite things to wear were loose fitting pants and a loose fitting blouse. When she dressed up it was always in blue. Her favorite pair of riding chaps were the ones a trader gave her when she traded him a foal from her runner, these pants were Harper blue. Beautifully tanned light weight and sturdy. She took great care of them. Like most girls Tishu loved jewelry, nothing fancy, just necklaces and things that she could make out of left over things. She seemed to make them just right for they were a favorite among the ladies that visited.
Personality:
Tishu is almost stubborn to a fault. When she is right, she is right. When she is wrong she sometimes won’t admit being in the wrong. She is a happy girl most of the time, but when things go wrong she either hides and cries, or comes out fighting. This was rarely physical, but there were times she had dealt some one a hard punch in the stomach.
Deep inside she is very tender, she refuses to allow others to see it. She hates it when she cries because she thinks it makes her look weak in others eyes. She cannot stand being made fun of. It hurts her feelings deep to the bone. She also refuses to tease or make fun of others, she knows that words do hurt. There are feelings of wanting revenge when this happens, but she never acts on these feelings.
Not having much in luxury growing up, made her fiercely protective of what she did have. Every little present was special and she was loathe to share them. And if they got broken from someone else playing with them had her carrying a grudge forever. It never accrued to her to act out against the child or older person that broke her item, it just made her hide her best things when she knew they were going to visit.
Sometimes lazy at home, she hated doing chores for her Grandam, she would look for ways to either not do them well, or hurry through them if the old woman was watching. It didn’t seem to matter anyway, Grandam would find a reason to beat her. So when she was at home, she tried to stay hidden and out of the old womans way.
She did however work hard for anyone else. No one seemed to have a complaint about how she did things. She lavished the praise when it came, it helped her do even better. She loved all animals, they seemed to be the only ones that totally understood her, and they weren’t judgmental. She did have a cruel streak when she got frustrated with something or with an uncooperative animal, usually one that just refused to behave. She didn’t go overboard with it, but those were the times she understood she had to walk away. It made her sad when she was older to know her Grandam rubbed off on her some even though she hated the treatment herself. She worked hard to keep herself under control, if she couldn’t she walked away and chopped wood to vent her pent up feelings. Seems at times there was lots of chopped kindling and wood to burn.

History:
Tishu was the last child to be born to her parents. All the others were gone when she came as an unexpected and unwanted surprise. Her life at Karoon Hold wasn’t easy. Her Parents fought all the time and when they weren't fighting they were drunk on some kind of cheap wine. When her father could take no more, he decided he didn't want Tishu exposed to all this drinking and fighting any more, so he took her to stay with her Grandam when she was but five turns old, while he worked for another cothold to help support her at Grandams.
This woman was alone herself and why she took in Tishu the girl never knew. This had to be the most unhappiest person Tishu ever met. Maybe it was the extra that her father supplied, maybe she was sick or just too old for taking care of one so young. What ever it was life was worse here then ever. The old woman made sure Tishu's father never knew just how she treated the young girl. He would not have approved.
No matter how hard she tried, she couldn't please the old woman. Chores were a normal way of life. And ohhhh if you didn't do the chores right, you would continue to do them until she was satisfied, this included beatings for them not being done right. Tishu remembers many nights after her grandam came home very late from where ever it was she went, that the old woman would drag her out of bed by her hair yelling, screaming and hitting her because she might have forgot a dish or maybe one was dirty when she washed it. She lost count of how many times she washed every dish, pot and pan in the house. One never knew what would set the old woman off. So you just walked softly and said nothing until you were spoken too. Many times there wasn't enough to eat. Her Grandam shared what she ate with Tishu at least when her father asked she could tell him that she ate.
Life wasn't all hard for Tishu, one old woman at the cothold not to far away took a shinning to Tishu, she loved the things she drew for her and saved every one. This woman's daughter had a prise runner that she sometimes let children ride, this started Tishu's love of the sometimes stubborn beasts. She loved the brown runner she named Sugar Foot. She learned to care for the runner in every way including patching up the silly thing when it scraped its hide up.
When Tishu was ten turns, the old woman Marley, offered to apprentice her in the stables. It was the best time of here young life. She learned to care for the runners including healing. The best fun was birthing the new ones. She worked hard and learned lots of things. She loved to teach the little ones to ride too. When she turned 12, she was given Sugar Foot for her birthday. She was the happiest girl on Pern that day.
Life went fast for Tishu now. Her Grandam died she wasn't sorry. And she didn't remember much about her mother, and soon she didn't see anymore of her father either. It didn't matter to Tishu. She played and grew with many that came to learn about the runners. The other kids all dreamed about becoming holder wives or perhaps running a cothold of their own some day, not Tishu, she wanted something different.
Life in Karoon was hard, with thread falling. Food and supplies were sometimes in short supply, that is why whenever she could, Tishu made necklaces. She always had a pouch of things with her where ever she went. She collected pretty pieces of stone or bark, whatever interested her, she would fashion them into interesting shapes and drill holes in them for her necklacews. The ladies that visited the cothold and stables loved the little trinkets. They knew that the woman that took her in was getting on in years, so they traded her sweets for the pretties she made. She had no idea if they kept them or gave them to kids, she didn't care. Marley loved the sweets anyway.
As she was getting older, more of her childhood friends were being apprenticed in different directions, many were married already. One day Tishu saw a dragon for the first time, she could hardly believe her eyes or make its color it was flying very high. She didn't know where it had come from, but she hoped to get closer to o:ne some day. It was the most beautiful and graceful thing she had ever seen the way it seemed to float so high in the sky.
Dragon Information:
Name: Dynasth
Egg: Red Dynasty Egg; This Egg had been a favorite of many with the markings of a black dragon on the front.
Color: Jade Green
Age: 1 turn
Description: The green that emerged from the shell was a beautiful jade in color, dainty, but proportioned perfectly. Stepping, with amazing grace, the dainty green made her way shyly towards the Candidates, ducking her wedge-shaped head as she moved. When the Candidates took a wary step back the dragonet reared in alarm, flapping her small wings.
I won't hurt you. Please don't be alarmed.[/color] Her voice was surprisingly silky, and there wasn't a hint of shyness there despite her earlier actions. Taking another step towards the Candidates, the green oh-so-carefully lowered her snout to Tishu and gave her a gentle nudge. Come, my rider, let's go eat.
"Oh, Dynasth!" Tishu wrapped her arms around her dragonet's snout in a joyous embrace.
