With summer approaching we've finally wrapped up the Hatching of the Feral Feline Clutch by Issarith; as well as Cities fo teh World Clutch by Rhiannoth! Plenty of Weyrlings are available for adoption; both from Issie's clutch as well as old ones from Aeriath's last. Many Weyrlings of various ranks will be added soon enough from Rhiannoth's recent clutch once they're fully sorted!
Congratulations to Therion, played by our local member and moderator Wolflover1458, for impressing gold Kiiroth in the latest clucth!
Also keep your eyes peeled into the skies; rumors of Elynth being due to reach maturity soon and start her Maiden Flight have been flooding the Weyr's halls for the past sevendays or so. While many think young O'ryn might have this in the bag, mostly due to his closeness to Elynth's rider Marlaey, others are betting on the more seasoned male bronzes of the Weyr. It's been a while since the Weyr has had so many golden ladies around after all; and many bronzeriders and brownriders are eager to reach higher status and positions such as Weyrleaders and Jr.Weyrleaders
The Holdless as well have been unusually quiet since their last attack well over a turn ago; and while most dragonriderspretend on the surface its due to them licking their wounds with their tails tucked between their legs after their last devastating defeat in Refuge grounds deep down inside worry keeps piling and rising. With two new batches of baby dragons in the barracks, barely a month apart one from the other, tension is rising to ensure the safety of the new future generations of the Weyr.
Rumors of Queen Elynth's Maiden Flight happening soon sure don't help the situation; and even less the dissent among the Weyrfolk between the ruling Senior Weyrwoman Sakorai and Issarith and their Jr. Weyrwoman Suynie and Rhiannoth! The fact of Issarith's weak and dud filled clutch,compared to Rhiannoth's healthy one and her new golden daughter, are certainly not doing any favors to calm the subtle but defined rivalry slowly splitting the Weyr!
