b]Dragon Info[/u]
Name: Krestanovith (Crest-ah-Nove-ith)
Age: almost 2 Turns
Color: Bronze
Appearance:
Krestanovith is brightly colored like his dam or sire. There is a yellowy green tinge to his Bronze body. No other Bronze is colored like him despite his bright shaded hide. He has darker coloring under his chin and a mottling of his darker and lighter shades on his tail. His hide has a sheen known only to metallic dragons, which dazzles the onlooker when he is sunning. His claws are a dark mocha brown that gleam from good care like his hide.
A deep chest and muscular build with what appears to be great bone structure ensure that this boy will be large. It is expected that he will be much bigger than his sire, only slightly smaller than Zeuth. He should reach about 38.9 meters in length. He has a great wingsan for his size and every part of his body is where it should be for what size he will be. His head seems a bit ungainly at first but as he grows it won’t seem so big compared to his body.
Personality:
The Bronze has a great aura about him. Like many Bronzes before him, he exudes authoritativeness. He is however more the benevolent type. He has a strong sense of right and wrong and tries very hard to remain on the right side of things. A bit condescending sometimes his kindness can come off as a holier than thou sort. He prefers to keep company with dragons than to be aloof. Krestanovith does challenge authority from time to time but only on topics that mean something to him. He is not as stubborn as his rider though and can be convinced or persuaded that perhaps he is not taking the right course.
Very generous, caring and open, the dragon seems more like a brown or a blue at times. He seems to get along with everyone even people. He is a true Bronze in the end though, being both a great orator and wise dragon. He might not be the type to take control immediately but eventually if no one else leads the way, he will step up to his rightful position and take command. Krestanovith is an active dragon and would prefer to go flying than sun all day. He likes doing things and even in his sleep his tail will twitch with pent up energy.
History:
The eggs moved this way and that. The rocking and shaking was nothing new but as people looked on, the eggs began to move more visibly. A couple had begun to show signs of cracking. Two stood out in the vigorousness in which their shells rocked and cracks appeared. The first to look like anything could happen was the Sensitive Dreamer Egg. No it did not want to be first but the dragonet inside was much too excited to wait any longer. As the shell continued to crack, all eyes turned at the sound of a great big cracking noise. The King of the Jungle egg which had been shaking so violently it had almost knocked the top of its shell right off was now the center of attention. Oh Fall NO! That other dragonet was not entering the world first! After one more vigorous shake he managed to push the top of the egg off of his head. HAH! He had done it. Quickly he made easy work of the rest of his shell with a big burst of strength he sent the remaining shell flying in different directions as he shattered it.
The Bronze dragonet stepped lightly out and almost fell on his face in front of the entire Weyr. Oh Faranth this walking business was hard. He walked like a drunkard, listing to one side and then another. He shook a pair of his golden hued wings. The Bronze took after his parents with his bright, yellowy coloring. He was by no means the same look as a Gold. There was a hue of yellowy green that tinged his hide although it was quite obvious he was one of Aeriath’s children. All her metallic sons and daughters were brightly hued. As he half walked, half stumbled toward the male Candidates. He did not stop. He walked up and down, past them almost knocking into a few of them before regaining his composure. He just wanted to find “him” already so he could stop this infernal walking!
While most people were watching her Bronze brother, the green who emerged from the sensitive dreamer egg, walked quietly out of her shell. First she admired the room in which she was now in, then she began to move past the girls and straight for the boys. He was there. She knew he was there. As she approached the boys, her Bronze brother, turned around and nearly snapped at her.I am first. You wait. She stopped where she stood and pouted a moment. Who was he to say she couldn’t find hers yet. It was not like they wanted the same thing! As indignant as she was, she did wait. So the sea green colored dragon watched her brother as did everyone else.
In the meantime some of the other eggs had begun to shake much more strongly. One had a huge crack that ran from the top of the egg to the bottom. The dragonet inside the Courageous Pioneer Egg was clearly miffed that he was not first one out. He finally got out of his shell and walked as quickly as he could toward the male Candidates. When he got close to the Sensitive Dreamer Green, he nearly knocked her over. I’m next. Stupid Bronze, stealing his thunder. He’d show him later. The blue figured he could handle a green but a Bronze was bigger and stronger. So while he followed behind the Bronze a little at a time, he began to realize he did not want any of THOSE boys. The blue turned his head toward the onlooking crowd and began to walk closer and closer to them. His steps were quicker than his larger brother but not so fast that he would lose his balance and fall.
It took a lot of time for the Bronze to make his decision. He stood in front of a dark young man and pushed him in the head with his chest. Ma’atu, you are my rider. I am hungry. Feed me now.
