There was no immediate way of telling the time. The Flight had started late, and D'isk could have been asleep for a few hours or a day. It was always so tiring waking from a Flight, and the Green rider truly counted himself lucky that he would never have to contend with a Gold. D'isk couldn't even fathom how exhausting one of their prolonged Flights could be. Not to mention the after Flight activities...
Speaking of which, just who had Caught him?
With a slight rustling of fabric, D'isk pulled himself up into a sitting position so that he could turn and get a good look at the Brown rider that had claimed him not too long ago. It had been a pleasant enough experience, and D'isk body still ached and creaked with a soreness that only a satisfying Flight could produce.
Satisfying or not, D'isk still felt mildly violated, but he would never say that of course. The Green rider may lack tact, but he wasn't that tactless.
The other man was Wingsecond F'ren of Illume Wing. D'isk had been Flown by someone of rank. He supposed he should have felt flattered. Kalith was a pretty Green for sure, but it was far more common for her to be caught by Blues.
What did one say at times like these? D'isk was Flown as often as any other Green rider, but these mornings never got any less awkward. Once again, I have lain down with a stranger...

.:: Wingsecond F'ren ::.
F'ren felt the body next to him stir, which brought him out of his light slumber. The brownrider never really slept well post-flight because it was a sleep induce by sheer exhaustion, rather than comfort. The man's first thought was that Aisynn was beside him, but the moment his eyes opened he realize two quick things: 1. This was not his weyr, and 2. There was definitely a man beside him.
D'isk- that was right. It had been the man's green that had flown and Aloroth had been lucky enough to Catch. Reaching out to his dragon, F'ren found the beast satiated and happy. Good for him. He thought as he sat up in the bed, ignoring the look D'isk was giving him for the moment.
This wasn't the first time F'ren had woken up in bed with a man, but it was always a little weird, mostly because F'ren preference was women, but being a brownrider put him in that position occasionally. Not that it ultimately mattered, a flight was a flight, and that was just Weyrlife.
Looking up at D'isk, finally, F'ren settled for, "Hi."
It wasn't exactly the best post-flight greeting he'd ever had but what was there really to say?

D'isk snorted. He couldn't help it. F'ren's greeting was just so normal and casual that D'isk could hardly believe it had taken place in his bed. What does one say to that? Should the Green rider respond with a hello of his one or attempt to start a conversation? What did on talk to a Wingsecond about? Would F'ren think it appropriate to talk Weyr politics in bed?
The silence stretched uncomfortably for a few moments while D'isk frantically attempted to gather his scattered thoughts, and although he really tried to come up with a witty come-back, all that came out of D'isk's mouth was another, "Hi."
As soon as he said it, D'isk wanted to smack himself, so he did. D'isk's facepalm also allowed for him to hide his reddening face and mortified expression from F'ren.
Could he be any more stupid? Shards! Why was it so easy to botch this up?
Taking a steadying breath, D'isk reminded himself that F'ren was just anther rider like him. Sure he was of higher rank and standing, but they were bother riders. This meant that F'ren was just as used to Flights as D'isk was. He knew how they worked and how to handle them. All D'isk had to do was relax a little.

F'ren caught himself smiling when D'isk responded in suit. It was easy to see that the younger dragonrider was uncomfortable, and really in the end there was no need to be. It would have been an easier thing had F'ren and D'isk been on some sort of friendly terms prior to the flight. As it were, F'ren knew the man's name but that was about as far as the association went.
"So why don't we just skip all of the chitchat," F'ren finally suggested, "put some clothes on, and go to the Dining Cavern for some food, hm?" It seemed like the best solution to the Wingsecond.
Even as he asked the question F'ren tossed back the furs and began retrieving clothing, comfortable in his own nude skin as he started dressing, still waiting for D'isk's response.

As F'ren got up and bagan gathering his things, D'isk took one final moment to pull himself together before he rolled out of bed and joined the Brown rider in a clothes hunt. One thing most dragon riders shared was an immunity to the embarrassment caused by the sight of a naked body, and once more D'isk was immensely glad for that. Sleeping with people you didn't love was bad enough. He didn't need the added mortification Holders seemed to suffer when skin was bared.
"Yeah, that sounds good." D'isk's voice was even and didn't waver, but his face was still a shade darker than usual.
Suddenly there was a soft mewing sound as Reela scampered into the weyr. It must be her feeding time. She usually didn't like strangers and remained hidden when one was in the weyr, but D'isk had missed one of her feeding times due to the Flight. She was probably hungry enough to brave the presence of the other rider.
Wearing nothing more than pants, D'isk crouched and coaxed her over to him. Reela was a beautiful silver tabby, and D'isk felt proud of how healthy her fur gleamed.
"You want to come to get breakfast with me and F'ren? Hmm?"
Picking the small animal up, D'isk cradled her to his chest. His huge frame dwarfed Reela, and made D'isk seem almost comical while holding her.
"Shall we go eat then?"
