The setting sun bathed the sky a brilliant shade of rust orange in a valiant attempt to remain the center of attention in the heavens, but Kalith was perched just in front of it on a ledge with her head raised regally. The light of a dying day painting her gleaming hide a darker hue than normal. If there was ever a time to bugle her challenge and launch into the sky at the behest of her hormones as she called every male to Chase, it was now.
Kalith pushed herself off the ledge and glided towards the ring of herdbeast, and without even pausing to look the beasts over, the Green fastens her fangs to the throat of the bleating animal tearing it a little to better increase the flow of blood. D'isk barely even had to remind her not to gorge herself anymore. As a Green, she was well used to the patterns of pre-Flight preparations.
Once Kalith was satisfied with the amount of blood she had consumed, the Green let out a loud and challenging bugle. This had gone on to long. It was time to take to the skies and make some males work for the right to tumble with her.
Sweeping her wings in an impatient flurry, Kalith left the ground expediently and shot up into the higher altitudes around the Weyr.
---
Unlike his Green, D'isk found himself in a compromising position. He had known Kalith's Flight was near, but staying in his weyr all the days long was making him even more jumpy and short-tempered than the blasted horniness was.
"It would just be a short walk," he had told himself. "What's the chance of her Flying right now?" he had rationalized.
Now D'isk was leaning against a tree outside the entrance to the Weyr with a uncomfortable look on his face as he attempted to control himself enough to at least make it into a less inhabited portion of the Weyr. He would never show his face again if he got Caught in a hallway.

Oreth was sunning on his ledge when he heard a bugle and looked to the skys to see Kalith. He flapped his wings though he thought of blooding a kill there was no time and it had been a day since his last meal. While he sent thoughts back to his rider that the green Kalith had risen and then gave into the mating lust that overcome him since the last gold flight. The brown dragon had not caught any of the dragons that he'd chased the last few mating flights and wanted to catch her more then anything. A moment of gliding over the weyr and then he flapped his wings to catch a gust of wind that helped him to go to a higher altitude.
It was a different matter on the ground as M'nor was getting something to eat as it was meal time and he heard the thoughts of his dragon. The green Kalith was rising to mate and he immediatley felt the mating lust of his dragon overcome him. He held his head for a moment because the brown rider dreaded another disappointing flight for his dragon. While the mating lust was overwhelming to the point that he was gripping the side of the table. "Who is the rider of green Kalith," asked M'nor to himself and then thought it was D'isk who was thankfully not in his wing? The wingsecond hated to deal with the fall out of mating flights the morning after when the green dragons we're in his wing.
He got up from his seat then went in search of the rider and wondered where the green rider's weyr happened to be. While he started to walk down a long hallway and could feel the feelings of his dragon overcoming him. M'nor hoped that his dragon won this flight as the last two flights had lead to Oreth's confidence taking a downward turn. The wing second found himself going past a few other people who got out of the way as they had heard the bugle of Kalith and knew what was happening to the brown rider.

Wingsecond F'ren Aloroth had been sensing Kalith's proddiness for hours, and the dragon had been patiently waiting on his ledge, muscles tensed as he willed the green to rise. The brown's dark rich shade gleamed in the orange glow of the setting sun. This would have to be a quick flight, no dragon liked the dangers of flying in the dark, even with their excellent vision. No matter, Aloroth was sure that he could prove himself worthy of the beautiful Kalith, even in a short amount of time.
It had been months since Aloroth had caught a green and the dragon was more than ready to turn that around. Having no need to blood a kill, the dragon waited patiently while he watched Kalith's glistening form. Watching the green blood made Aloroth's blood thunder through his brains.
When Kalith took to the air with a challenging bugle, Aloroth roared back in answer to her challenge and vaulted from his ledge. The brown's powerful back haunches vaulted him easily into the air behind the green, just where he wanted to be.
On the ground F'ren wasn't sure what to do, or where to go. He knew that Kalith's rider was D'isk, but the greenrider wasn't in one of the flight weyrs. Where was he? Bewildered F'ren sighed and decided to wait and see if he found anyone else heading in the same direction.

Kalith let out a soft pleased noise as she rolled a bit in the sky. Her chasers were ranking Browns, and they were handsome. Large and strong with their earthy colors, they would look good against her bright and blinding hide.
Twirling into a barrel roll, Kalith dropped a couple hundred feet in altitude and leveled out. Usually the green would try something outrageously dangerous rather than that tame, mildly worrying move, but the sun had almost completely set. Even she who had started all this knew it was never wise to have Flights at night, but her blood was burning and her hide was aching for the touch of a male.
After several minutes of this level flying, Kalith got bored and shot straight up in the air in order to whip her flexible body into a circular shape and fall with disk-like rotations back down. It was an odd looking way to fall, but it was tricky to follow and even harder to catch. Plus it showed off the better parts of Greens, the better flexibility, the more playful natures, and the desire to please. Pompous Golds Flew for themselves, a Green Flew for her chasers.
When she had fallen a good distance, Kalith pulled her body into an inside loop and exited the former maneuver just as beautifully as she had instigated it. Her wings were burning pleasantly from the work-out, and she was panting mildly. Kalith hadn't enjoyed herself this much for a while.
---
D'isk had managed to somehow stumble into the Weyr, but his eyes were glazed and distant. He had hung on to himself for an admirable amount of time, but every step was becoming more and more difficult as D'isk felt a little more of himself slip away. He was already so far gone. His muscles were shaking from a fatigue that wasn't his own, and even the cool wall of the Weyr was too much for his overly sensitive skin.
Just a bit farther. Almost there.
As a Greenrider, his personal weyr was closer to the ground and as such, easier to reach on foot, but it was still so far away. D'isk's heart sank as he realized he wasn't going to make it. Sweat covered his brow, and his breathing was fast and irregular. It was amazing he had made it this far carried by nothing more than the thought of an impending morning of shame.
Slumping against the wall, D'isk finally lost the control he had been desperately clinging to and arched his back at the feeling of the cool wind gliding over his furnace of a body. Hands clutched at the cold stone in a pathetic attempt to find purchase in a world of never ending sky.

Aloroth admired Kalith's beauty and grace as she manuevered in an effortless dance through the air. Her fast flying and daredevil antics made the brown admire her even more than he had before. When the green made her intricate dive Aloroth followed closely, although he did not perform that aerial stunts that the lithe green performed. After all, while his stamina and strength were excellent, Aloroth didn't have the quick agility that the green and blue dragons possessed.
Come, beautiful Kalith, rest your wings with me. He called in his rich baritone voice, his muscles only feeling slightly warm, but his ichor was chugging through his body, making even the tip of his tail feel electrified.
On the ground F'ren finally found D'isk, although he hadn't expected the man to be a melted puddle, leaning against one of the outer walls. With a hand to the greenrider's shoulder, the Wingsecond began to helpfully steer D'isk in the direction of the flight weyr. The greenrider was so engulfed in the flight that F'ren doubted if he even noticed where they were going. F'ren couldn't allow himself to fully join Aloroth in the air until he saw D'isk safely to the flight weyr. F'ren considered it common courtesy as a dragonrider, and as a Wingsecond to make sure that the greenrider found his way to a weyr, even if Aloroth didn't catch Kalith.

Oreth saw the beautiful Kalith do a barrel roll then drop down and he dove down in pursuit. He bugled for a moment then was in hot pursuit of Kalith as he continued to flap his wings and watched as she did another move to try to throw them off. The brown would not be undone even as he caught sight of another brown and just kept after her. It was on the ground that M'nor kept leaning against walls for support as he tried to let his feelings lead him to the right weyr. His feelings of lust we're starting to get to him as he had given into what had consumed Oreth.
The brown rider continued to follow his feelings as they lead him down hallways. He hoped that his dragon won this flight because it would help him boost his confidence. M'nor didn't care at these times whether the rider was male or female because this was the way of life at a weyr. His personal preference was women however if it was a male he wouldn't care and it most likely would end up that way. It had only been recently that a lot of females had started to impress green dragons and he continued to follow his feelings to the man's weyr.
He bumped into a person and said nothing as conscious thought had left him. His body wanted release and felt everything that his dragon was feeling. The lust and burning feeling was sending fire through his veins as he rounded another hallway to hear voices.

(OOC: Sorry about the delay. I was having some medical issues. It shouldn't happen again. : P)
The darkness was encroaching, but Kalith wasn't through yet. Instead of seeing the ever falling night as a curse, the spunky Green was viewing it as a sort of new and fun challenge. It was like a race! A fierce race against the setting of the sun! A race against nature itself! And Kalith hated losing races.
Increasing her speed, knowing it would both shorten the Flight and allow her to remain in the last glowing embers of a dying day, Kalith gained altitude at an alarming rate. She was almost completely vertical in her climb. Her entire mind was focused on her speed and the wind tearing at her heated hide, but the cold air could offer no relief. The only relief would come when she was captured, tumbling into the oblivion of darkness whilst caught between the strong claws of a Brown.
Kalith's hide was glowing faintly, in a much more subdued hue than her natural blinding color, and it was slowly darkening as night fell. Although she had angled out, Kalith was zipping across the sky, chasing the horizon. She was intent on remaining in light as long as possible, but her wings were begining to lag and her sides were beginning to heave. It wouldn't be long until she faltered too much or lagged to far...
---
There was enough man left in D'isk to offer a breathless thanks to his savior as the two of them entered the familiarity of his personal weyr. The comfortable sights and scents of home flooded his senses and put his fevered mind at ease, and without preamble, the Greenrider stumbled over to his fur covered couch and flopped gracelessly down on it.
D'isk's skin was on fire, and his breath was ragged. It wouldn't be too much longer before Kalith was caught, but these short moments before that were always the most agonizing for D'isk. He hated everything about the heated minutes before total oblivion. If anyone tried to get to close at this moment D'isk probably would have snarled at them.

Aloroth had nothing else on his mind but Kalith. He and F'ren were finally completely joined, and together they urged upward, after the green whose hide was bathed in a glorious, russet orange in the fading light of the sun. She was giving them one final test, and Aloroth was determined to meet it as he bugled out to her, his wings pumping as he rose in altitude along with her, his snout nearly touching the tip of his tail in his effort to keep up with her.
Everything male in Aloroth cried out to Kalith to accept him. He was the most deserving, he had showered her with attention during this flight, and he would take care of her once their talons were locked and their necks twined.
On the ground F'ren stayed near the door of D'isk's weyr, not wanting to crowd the greenrider, even if they were in a flight together. Instead he leaned against the doorway, his eyes closed as he took in deep breathes, his mind fully joined with Aloroth as the brown did his best to win Kalith over.

Oreth saw that the beautiful Kalith was going upwards and that the green was going to challenge them one last time. He used the last of his strength to shoot upwards after her as he greatly desired the green dragon. The green dragon finally seemed to become more horizontal as Oreth was very pleased with this development. While he was still in hot pursuit of her it was apparent that the darkness was going to end this flight early because there was only a bit of sunlight left. His claws could almost reach her as to grasp on to a beautiful emerald.
It was on the ground that M'nor finally found the weyr where the green rider happened to be and came to a sight with a green rider against a wall. He knew the brown rider in the depths of his mind as another wing second and yet didn't pay attention. The brown rider came into the room to await who would win this flight because if he lost another one the brown rider would seek comfort with someone else. It was custom for losers of mating flight to seek out another green rider or lower caverns worker. A custom that had laid to M'nor currently expecting his first child by one.

Kalith's wings were burning with exertion and her breath was labored and mildly frothy as she reached her limit. This was the moment of truth. Kalith could no longer out pace her suitors. It was now simply a race to see which could make it to her first. Which Brown would snatch her glowing form from the sky to tumble earthward in a dangerous moment of passion. The thought was exhilarating!
Even with the knowledge of her imminent capture, Kalith stretched her wings further in a last ditch effort to seem worthy of her suitors attentions. At this point in time, she was at their mercy, and she knew it.
---
There was nothing left of D'isk. The light-heartened man was nothing more then a trembling mess of need and desperate desire to just be Caught! Sweat beaded his brow and wild eyes darted between the two threatening men who had come to claim him as their Browns would claim Kalith.

.:: Brownrider F'ren ::.
Aloroth bugled his prowess and power as he surged forward, snarling at the brown in the air beside him as he locked talons with Kalith and possessively twined his neck around hers. Shards, she was glorious! The way her hide glistened and glowed from the exertion of the flight made Aloroth feel as if the ichor in his veins was positively alive with adrenaline.
Locking his long, brown wings into place, the Wingsecond cruised over the Weyr, possessively holding his green to him as they headed out for a long, slow flight.
--
On the ground F'ren's heart was pounding in his ears and a triumphant zing rushed through his blood. With no hesitation the brownrider moved to D'sik and grabbed him up and pushed him down onto the bed....
