PLOT : FAQ : CHARACTER SHEET : FACECLAIMHello, dear friend; welcome to the Wasteland, and our condolences on your recent loss. Yes, we regret to inform you that you are, in fact, dead. No, this isn't Heaven -- nor is it Hell.------------------------ Floating in a "sea" made of night sky, the Wasteland is a good-sized island, measuring a little over 1,500 square miles. The sky above seems to follow the same patterns as the sky on Earth, and is prone to sudden storm systems, audaciously hued sunrises and sunsets, and riotous auroras. This strange new world is where the dead find themselves, well, after they've died; whether it's heaven, hell, limbo, Valhalla, the real reality, or something else entirely is a matter of opinion. Let the welcomers show you to a room in Dominion Hall, and once you've gotten settled, feel free to explore, spurred on by the sound of ticking clocks. How long will you remain here? No one knows. What will you do while you're here? That's entirely up to you. This is the Wasteland. Welcome home. ------------------------ Drawing its inspiration from literary and artistic sources as varied as T. S. Eliot, John Donne, and painter Salvador DalĂ, O Flickering Wasteland is an original, highly literate, and character-driven roleplay for writers 18 years and older. We have a focus on creativity, community, and cooperative storytelling.
