While Malith had been wonderfully oblivious to the various reasons that would take Rhiannoth from the Weyr, S’nuo was all too aware of exactly what reason had taken the gold earlier that day. So it was that the blue rider was not surprised to find his dragon suddenly alert and standing at the mouth of the ground level weyr with his head craned and searching through the rain. His blue tail twitched and despite being the smallest (full grown) male dragon in the entire Weyr, little blue Malith heard that hiss and snarl and knew that the Pale Queen blooded.
S’nuo watched as the little blue’s full body was tight with tension and alert as he watched out the mouth of the cave, another twitch running through his hind quarters. “If you were any more tense, I’d be able to play you like a fiddle.” The candidate master joked with his blue before pulling on his leather riding coat and motioning out the entrance. “Why have you not gone to join the rest of the males in the chase?”
She has not called out a challenge… She bloods… and she challenges her rider, but has not yet challenged the dragons of the Weyr to catch her. At this S’nuo paused as he too looked out through the rain. Already several dragons were taking up spots upon their own ledges around the Weyr, but every dragon had their eyes fixed keenly upon the pale gold who was making a mess of the feeding pens across the Weyr Bowl.
“I do not think she will need to, Malith. Look at your brethren. They all know she is going to fly and they will all chase her even if she does not let out a traditional challenge. This Weyr has gone for a turn and a half without a gold rising, and much of that has not even had an adult gold present. No, she is a treasure that they all plan to catch for themselves. Do not waste time, Malith. Go make your dues to our new Queen.”
Stepping out into the rain himself, S’nuo was not surprised to see his blue take off – not in flight – but a bounding gallop toward the feeding pens, eager to wish his new Queen well in her flight and to honor her by chasing her even if the little dragon had no chance or hope of keeping up. It was a slight, sad smile upon S’nuo’s lips as he followed at a much slower pace. There really was no reason for him to follow at all, the room that the rider would be moved to would soon be full of the bronze and brown riders of the Weyr, but he could at least get a good view of the start of the flight. With this being the leadership flight for the Weyr, he doubted any bronzes would miss the chance at taking over for A’lez.

Eira knew what was going on, she had noticed how the newest Gold had been acting lately. While she never been here for a gold flight, she had heard stories how people acted during them. Currently, she was in the weyrling barracks lightly talking with Siath and petting Joris when the green paused. â€She's blooded...†The green mentioned softly as she felt her riders eyes on her. Eira sighed softly and slowly stood up, much to the dismay of the feline who quickly curled up against his dragon. Silly creature. â€Where are you going my Eira? You can't be thinking of going out.†Siath told her, a slightly worried tone in her voice. The young green was not naïve, besides, she heard stories how people were during the gold flights. Even if she liked sunning and thinking about things more than prattling with her fellow greens, those stories she could not escape.
“I will be alright Siath, I will return before things get too far underway.†Eira promised her and rubbed her green's long neck. â€Alright then, only if you're sure though. I will keep Joris company until then.†She smiled at that before kissing her green's forehead gently and patting the cats head before heading off. Funny how the two got along, but, she always did knew that Siath cared far more for the feline than she let on. Even if said feline was easily edible.
Leaving the barracks, she shivered as the rain hit her skin. Her dress was a normal one nothing was really special about it. The neckline was like many others in her wardrobe with how it draped just slightly below her collar bone. The hem falling to her ankles and the light brown material clung to her just enough. The only downfall was how bare her arms were. It will be alright though, she would live, even if she did get a little wet as she made her way towards a room to get a better view of things. At least for the start of the flight. She would not dare stay out too long though, who knew how non-riders got during these flights. She certainly didn't. â€You're still alright yes my Eira?†Siath asked. â€Yes, I am fine. But thank you for checking on me.†Eira replied as she slowly entered the room.
For a moment, she thought she was the only one in there until her eyes fell on him. S'nuo. “Are you here to watch the flight yourself?†Eira asked him slowly. While if it was another man, she would have promptly left. He was not some man though, he saved her life and she trusted him. He had been through so many of these flights before. He was probably used to them enough to ignore any lustful feelings he may develop just because Malith was going after the pale gold.
Slowly, she walked towards him to stand by his side to look outside. “I just wanted to see for myself. For a little while at least. Not long that long but, just long enough.†Just a simple explanation why she was here in the first place. Reaching up, she brushed her dark hair from her face. “Plan on heading back to Siath and Joris after I've seen some really...â€
Awkward much?
{hope this works for you Smara, let me know if I should/or ned to change anything!}

Hearing a familiar voice, S’nuo paused in the rain outside to turn and find an even more familiar woman standing within a doorway near the Weyrling Barracks. Ah, but they would not be there much longer, if they have not already moved into the adolescent Weyrs. It had been a full turn since the last hatching and it would only be several more months until they graduate and are moved to wings. And then they too will fly.
Mouth falling open, S’nuo found himself staring at Eira, the little girl he had watched B’ren torment so often and yet with the lust of his dragon so high for the queen about to rise, he saw not the little girl he had watched grow, but the wide hipped woman that she had become. It was several long moments that passed in silence as the shock washed over him with the rain before he watched her step out of the doorway to join him in the rain, her eyes innocently turned toward where the golden queen blooded – she simply wanted to see part of the flight…
It happened suddenly, and what had truly brought to realization to his mind he could not tell, but yes – this was Eira, A woman not a child. But this was also Eira, the woman he had carried away from those bloodied halls, her own innocence stolen from her by that beast of a holdless man. And here she was, wanting to watch a queen flight. Suddenly S’nuo realized how ashamed he should have been, looking at her like he had been, thinking of her like he had been.
Turning his face away quickly, he pulled off his leather riding jacket that had been protecting himself from the rain and held it open for her to take it. At least she should stay dry – and better yet, partially hidden from the sight of any other riders who’s dragon might last longer in the flight.
“Malith joins the flight.” He finally answered, careful to begin detatching himself from his dragon. He couldn’t completely – not in a flight where he had to make sure the dragon came home before hurting himself, but enough to keep some sense about him. At least the struggle shouldn’t be a long one… “Let me show you where you can stand, she should be taking off shortly, then I will take you back inside before someone finds you.” His voice was soft and one could hear the force he was putting behind the control.

Eira looked up at him as he looked at her. She knew Siath would be flying soon, within a couple of months at least. Green's always fly early after all. In more way than one, it made her nervous. After all, the young woman didn't think she could handle going through that. Not after that holdless attack anyways. Either way, she would surprise herself when her green finally flew. They all had to have that flight sometime.
He was staring at her. It was awkward in a way as no one, not even that holdless monster looked at her like that. To say the least, she was no longer that little girl that was picked on by B'ren. Eira had not been that girl for so long, her womanly figure having form when she was a teen. If she had grown up in the Weyr then, her father more than likely had to bat those suitors off with a stick. Slowly she stepped out of the doorway and joined him in the rain. She felt she was safe with him, even with the way he looked at her. It was cute in another way, how he did. His mouth agape like a little boy who was presented with a delicious treat for no reason at all.
Thanks to the coldness of the rain, her skin was starting to prickle making her shiver. She wanted to stay and watch before too many men noticed her. S'nuo was ahead of her though, offering her his leather riding jacket. Slowly, Eira took it. Even though she was covered decently for the average day, this was far too much skin for a flight. “Thank you.†She replied softly, slipping the jacket on it fell mid-thigh and her hands were covered. Her lips curled into a slight smile and a soft laugh left her. If only there was a mirror, she had to look ridiculous. “You know, this is practically a dress on me.†Eira told him as she held up a hand and flopped his sleeve a little.
The soft joking manner left her as she looked towards where the pale queen had blooded. “He is?†She asked him. A slight sense of worry grew inside her for a moment, she could hear the force of control in his words. S'nuo was fighting it, maybe she should go back to her green.
â€It is only S'nuo my Eira, he will never hurt you.†Siath told her gently, sensing that sight bit of fear coming from her Eira. â€You know this, he is not like that beast who hurt you so.†It was all the encouragement to stay she needed. Siath was right, S'nuo would sooner protect her than hurt her. The green knew this and Eira had to remind herself. “I hope he doesn't get hurt.†She mentioned softy as she slowly followed him where she could stand to watch the gold take flight. Reaching up, she brushed her hair from her face for a moment before she looked up at him. “Can you stay a little longer after wards..?†Eira asked of him sowly.
“Not in that way but, I just rather not be alone tonight.†Malith would not last long in the flight being just a little blue. Besides that, what would keep anyone out like she would want? Either way, she was grateful she was keeping her own head clear.

Hearing her plea for him to stay with her after the flight, S’nuo could not stop his heart from beating faster no matter how hard he tried. Turning to face the flight with a stone look even as he tried to ignore the insistant member tucked firmly within his leather pants, he pointed toward the feeding pens. “We are safe while the dragon’s remain in the chase, but once the smaller ones start peeling off we will want to be inside. That is when their riders will start looking for flight moths.” He answered, though it was not truly an answer to her request.
Several more minutes and the two were able to watch the gold finish blooding before taking to the sky. Her roars were feral, commanding and angry even to those who could not hear the words behind it. Seeing the flight half through Malith’s eyes, however, S’nuo heard her words well and he knew that this was a queen different from those who have previously flown from this Weyr. She was cruel with her words and her displeasure. No, poor little Malith would be dropping from the flight quickly.
Realizing too late that the dragons had already left the bowl, he put a hand on Eira’s shoulder before running it down her arm to take hold of her hand. What was meant to be a friendly gesture, sent fire through his blood and quickly to his loins as he suddenly realized what a fatal mistake it had been. Quickly dropping her hand, he shook his head and turned back toward the Barracks.
“We can hide in your Barrack or my Weyr. You’re moved into your own private ones by now, nearing adulthood I’d assume?” Adulthood… they would be flying soon… and Eira was no longer a girl-child. No… she most defiantly was not. Shards and shells, he needed to stop staring! Fixing his eyes firmly ahead of him rather than on her, he waited for an answer as he began walking slowly in the general direction of both. He needed to get her away from the other riders…. And by Faranth he needed to get her away from himself!

Eira didn't know what to do to be honest. Honestly, she should have went to stay with her aunt instead of acting like some fool to see the Gold's flight. Her eyes followed where he was point too, towards the feeding pens and she nodded slightly. “And I for one, do not want to stay here for some of them to find me.†She muttered lightly, more to herself than to him. It really would be the last thing she would want. Why she was staying here with S'nuo was simple.
The young woman felt safe with him and she also felt like he had control over himself. How many gold flights has he been around for? While she didn't know how many women he bedded during such things, she just knew he had been around for plenty and hopefully her thoughts were right.
Watching the gold take off she heard the roar and she would have jumped if not for S'nuo's hand on her shoulder. Eira couldn't take her eyes off of the gold flight, she was far too distracted by it as she watched the male dragons chasing after her. Finally her attention was torn when she felt S'nuo's hand drift down her arm and his hand wrapped around hers.
It almost felt like her heart skipped a beat in her chest and her stomach tightened uncomfortably. Oddly enough she felt almost lost as he dropped her hand, her cheeks flushing briefly as she realized how positively ridiculous that was. â€My Eira, are you alright?†Her green asked gently. â€I am fine Siath, don't worry, I'm headed somewhere safe soon enough.†â€S'nuo's with you, you'll be alright.'†She turned and followed after him. Away from the flight and the other riders who would be out looking for the flight moths as S'nuo put it.
“We're in the process of moving into the private weyrs.†Eira replied lightly. “Your's is closer than the barracks though.†She told hm as she pulled his jacket tighter around her. She was feeling rather naked now, even though she was dressed fine by normal non-gold flight standards. It was true though, Eira was no longer a child. She hadn't been for a good amount of time now. She was getting close to twenty-one turns old, plenty of girls younger than her were mothers to toddlers.
As long as she was away from the other riders, she would be fine. Eira felt so at the very least. S'nuo was able to control himself wasn't he?

“Then let’s get going.” S’nuo replied, lifting an arm to invite Eira toward his Weyr. He was partially bonded with his blue as the little guy chased the gold over the waters of the ocean and through the rain and once more the candidate master was glad that the blue would not have enough stamina for the flight. It was all he could do not to let himself bind more closely with his blue – he needed to keep that barrier up between his conscious thoughts and his lust.
The walk was a short one, and one leaving S’nuo wishing that the rain was just a bit colder to help his heated blood cool. Even so, it was only moments before the candidate master opened the door to invite the weyrling into his personal Weyr. It was not many women he openly invited in here, but he had the children often enough to know that keeping it clean was the first step to keep them out of mischief. So the Weyr they walked into was one that was neat and orderly.
The bed was a good sized one for one person, comfortable for two, with furs pulled neatly over it. A single chair sat in one corner overlooking the bed, one of the comfortable chairs that showed that some marks had been put into it. There was a low wooden table darkly varnished between the bed and the chair as well as a tall dresser and a chest along one wall that had a lighter cloth blanket folded and placed on top of it.
It was not a lot, but it was comfortable and for S’nuo, it was home.

Eira simply nodded at S'nuo as she was invited into his Weyr. For some reason, the thought of going to where he slept made her heart skip a beat. They were just going there to wait out the rest of the flight she reminded herself, Siath didn't question her about what she meant about it either. So that was a small bit of relief. Pulling his jacket tighter about her, she was trying to keep herself as dry as possible. Her hair still was soaked though, and loose strands stuck to her face. Thankfully it was a short walk and at least her clothes did not become more wet thanks to S'nup's jacket.
Once they reached his Weyr she slipped off that jacket and shooked some of the water off of it near the entrance. ”Thank you S'nuo, for the jacket and for staying with me.” Eira slowly told him as she glanced about the room. He always seemed like he would be a neat and tidy person, the neatness of his room proved that. Unless he had someone else cleaning up for him. No, she could not see him doing that. The blue rider seemed more of the sort to do something himself.
As soon as she was done shaking out his jacket she moved towards the chair and draped it over the back of it before turning back to S'nuo. For one reason or the other, she found herself blushing and having to look away, back towards the entrance of the weyr. ”How long..Do you think this flight would last?” Eira asked slowly, just trying to talk and not feel so awkward being in a man's weyr.

“Yes, well…” he said, watching her drape his coat across the back of the cushioned chair and turn to face him once more. He was all too aware of the heat that rose to her cheeks, coloring them with a womanly glow. He watched with hungry eyes as she glanced back toward the door and nearly every fiber of his being wanted to beg and coax her eyes back to him.
As much as his body screamed for the woman’s loving attention, her eyes distracted helped to strengthen his resolve as he took the opportunity to tear his own eyes away. Moving to the darkly varnished dresser, he kept his hands busy as something to focus on while he answered her. “It depends on the dragons, though I would not be surprised for a gold flight to last a candlemark or two – “ shards I have to control myself that long? – no, no, only until Malekith drops out. Hurry up Malekith. “The bronze dragons can sustain flight during thread fall for nearly 6 candle marks, but they do not fly at top speeds or at top altitudes during Threadfall like they will do for the gold.”
Peeling the wet material of his soaked shirt from his lust-heated skin, he took a moment to wring it out before characteristically dropping it in a heap next to a pile of folded clothes in a basket. Hands that desperately begged to be holding something softer than the material between his fingers, opened a fresh shirt before pulling it over his closely shaven head. Not hearing an answer or reply from the woman, however, broke his resolve to keep busy as he glanced back in her direction. The glance was all he needed to remember that she was everything female with the way that dress hung about those motherly hips and sculpted down thighs he knew would firm and smooth beneath his fingers…
With a firm shake he refocused his vision upon her face as he sat down on the edge of the bed, ignoring his wet pants that clearly showed his condition as he silently thanked the low table between them.

Eira simply could not help the blush that crept across her cheeks, it was just one of those things that happened under the influence of a Gold's flight. She was noticing the way he looked and the way he looked at her. Part of her just wanted S'nuo to take her in this room, strip her of the dampened dress that stuck to her curves. The young woman had to look away to clear her thoughts from that. Shards, she hoped the flight would not last much longer.
Finally, she looked away from the entrance of his weyr, back at him. He started to answer and it almost seemed like he was struggling to do so. Once again, she hoped the flight would end soon. He of course started to talk about the length of flights, then mention how bronze dragons could stay afloat for many more candles than just one or two. “That long?†Eira asked, her eyes on him for a moment she was soon looking back at the door in an attempt to not look at him. She had to keep her mind cleared of such thoughts, she could not let the flight effect her. Not now, not ever. She could not risk messing up her friendship with S'nuo, even if he was a handsome man.
A soft sigh left her as she brought her gaze back to him just as he peeled off his shirt. Her eyes were on his body and she felt the her cheeks flushed. Shards, she was looking at him like a man looked at a woman. That realization came too late, as he was already pulling a fresh dry shirt over his head. Hopefully he did not see her blush and she sat down at the table where his coat was draped over. At least she could not see more, that much she was almost thankful for.
She was looking away from him again and Eira had missed the shake of his head to refocused his attention. “Let's hope Malith drop out of the flight soon at least. S'nuo, I must be making you feel uncomfortable.†She had to be. After all she was feeling a want that could only be caused by the flight, who knew what he had to be feeling with Malith going insane inside of his head.
{Hope the post works!!}
