Appearance: H'nen is a strapping individual, slender muscle all whipcord and sinew. A tall man, standing at 6'2 and weighing 187lbs. Strong lean arms lead down to a rock hard stomach and muscular thighs. shapely sturdy calves end in surefooted feet that can find a hold on nearly anything. Dark auburn hair cuts off gently at his shoulders, accented by deep red highlights that run rampant through-out the tresses. Dark, golden-brown skin, weathered from turns spend out doors in the south, bring out the wonderfully light amber-brown color of H'nen's large eyes. Dark rose colored lips are pouty and practically begging for a kiss. A small scar about an inch and a half long runs the length from his right temple to the center of his cheek. H'nen's usual manner of dress is dark greens and browns. His favored outfit is dark sepia brown leather pants and a lighter caramel brown tunic. Glossy black boots are his only footwear and around his narrow waist he bares a glossy black leather belt, tooled with silver studs. A chain of rose-gold with a brown agate shaped like a teardrop adorns his neck, the lone piece of jewelry H'nen will wear.
Personality: Adaptable, cocky, fearless, honest, merciful. H'nen is a silent man. He keeps to himself when he’s not teaching a group of Weyrlings. He keeps his own council when he wants to, though if asked by the Weyrleader or a Wingleader, or even the Weyrwoman, he’ll offer his advice. But only if asked. Sometimes he’ll offer advice to others if they ask, if not, he won’t say a word. Secretly, he has his reservations about the Expedition younglings standing for Aeriath's clutch, but then he's not the Weyrleader. He feels that D'seus is doing quite well as Weyrleader and hopes the bronzerider will be Weyrleader for a long while. He is polite and considerate and all suave charm when he’s around the Weyrleaders. But when it comes to the women, H'nen is lost and unsure of himself sometimes. Even still with his weyrmate, Selosyn. He is adaptable to any changes that come his way, doing his best to please everyone.
He thrives on change and is eager for something to change, whether in his favor or not. He is cocky in his mannerism when dealing with someone that tries to outrank him. He is a fearless Rider, making the rash and daring decisions that he knows others would not make. He doesn’t think his actions are heroics, but just what needs to be done if no one else does them. He strives to be an honest man, depending on the situation. If one of his Weyrlings does something and the Weyrleader finds out and demands punishment, he'll listen to suggestions on the form of punishment before making a desicion. He shows the Weyrlings mercy if they injure themselves, but if it’s something he warned them not to do, he will give them a stern lecture and he’ll make sure the Weyrling and Dragonet are ok before assigning punishment, if the situation warrants it.
Hobbies/Skills: neat script, likes to observe.

History: H'nen was born as Harnen, and grew up as the oldest of nine siblings, to Cotholders in Refuge Weyr's territory. His life wasn't much of an adventure. He was mostly home, helping to tend the large cropfield his father was holding, along with helping to fix anything that broke. He had a knack for fixing things and the personality to go with it. And often that came in handy if a neighbor needed help with something. Along with his family, there were four other families within walking distance that held large plots of land they worked. Harnen would go from one holding to the other, fixing things. He was excited when his mother got pregnant a few turns after him, giving birth to his brother, Harler. He would coddle him and began to teach him things as soon as Harler was old enough. Harnen was the loving older brother. and he didn't stop there, he came in from the fields many nights and would help his mother care for his growing number of siblings so she could have time to make the evening meals.
And as the number in siblings grew, he worked harder to help his parents survive. He took on different jobs to help bring in marks or more food from the other holdings to help as best he could. One holding's Cotholder offered his oldest daughter, who was only a turn younger than Harnen, as payment for his help. Harnen turned him down. He didn't want to find a wife while only 12 turns old! He was happy to help them out in exchange for food. He was in the house when his mother, Shierre, went into labor while pregnant with sixth child. He immediately called for a healer. And while both daughter and mother did not die, Shierre had bled out a lot and was told to stay in bed for a while. She did as she was told, and stayed in bed, nursing her third daughter, she and Harlen named Lanie. While on bed rest, Shierre became terribly ill due to an infection in a surture one of the healers had to do to keep her from losing so much blood. But, thankfully, she pulled out of it and regained most, if not all, of her strength back.
As the turns passed, Harnen grew into a fine looking young man. Muscles and sinew giving him a well defined look as he continued to help his father and young brothers in the cropfields. And then something happened that changed his life forever. A blue and a green dragon arrived in their area on Search. Harnen wasn't to interested in being taken away from his family or his work with the other holdings, but his father and mother both insisted that he honor their family and go. He relented and agreed to the Search, if a bit reluctantly. He had just barely turned 17 turns when he'd been Searched, but he didn't impress until turning 20. He had been a bit surprised at impressing to such a handsome bronze. ANd one of the finest looking bronzes from that clutch, H'nen thought. He sent word immmediately of his impression to his family and learned that his brother, Harler had been searched. He found his brother in the Candidate Barracks and welcome him with open arms into the Weyr.
A turn later and H'nen was patting H'ler on the back for impressing to a handsome and robust looking blue. H'nen graduated from Weyrling Training, not really caring about anything but being one of the best Bronzeriders in Refuge Weyr. He was a bit surprised when he was approached by his Wingleader to be his Wingsecond, but accepted the position. He was a bit uncomfortable, at first, being in a ranked position, but he began to warm up to it for a while. And then his bronze, Sarkith, took chase after a rising green. She gave her chasers a fun flight before being caught by Sarkith. And he'd been a sneak at catching her, waiting for the right moment. And when the green, Irelloth, flew again, Sarkith was right there to chase again. And so, Selosyn became pregnant from the second flight with their first child, Ellosyn. And H'nen asked Selosyn to be his weyrmate, and she gladly accepted.
For the next set of turns, H'nen really enjoyed his life. His mate was giving him children, and he was very happy. And he did everything he could think of to make her happy as well. When their fourth child and second female was born, H'nen surprised Solesyn with a necklace that was gold and held a small diamond. She was in tears at the gift. He was approached a turn later for the position of Weyrling Master. H'nen was shocked speechless at this. But he accepted the position and has been loving it. He'd been 34. Now, he and Sarkith are enjoying themselves and are eager to train the next generation of Dragonriders for Refuge Weyr.
Dragon Info
Name: Sarkith
Color: Bronze
Age: 18 Turns
Description: Sarkith is one of the large bronzes. Despite his size he is rather streamlined for good flight when he’s older. His tail is rather long by a good 3feet. His wings are long and narrow, adding speed and stamina to his flying abilities at his size of 54.5 feet. Even though he looks like an agile bronze, he isn’t as agile as a green or blue. With his streamlined appearance, he has a very good muscle definition. His muscles aren’t bulging or the lack of. His muscles are in perfect proportion to his size and his body length.
When he flexes his muscles for flight or other activity, his muscles will bulge but not seeming to do so to make it look unnaturally so. His hide is a beautiful and almost even shade of dark bronze, all over but for his muzzle, wing edges, and tail tip. Rather the wings have pale bronze streaks on them, counted every six human hands apart. His legs are nice and lean to go with his frame except for his hind legs. They are a bit more muscled than his front, but again not overly so to cause concern.
Personality: Sarkith is of the frame of mind of ‘if it doesn’t work, try something different’. He will try anything, or nearly anything, once. And if it doesn’t work, he’ll badger his rider to try something else that might work. And he’ll even have a few suggestions too! He is very attentive to his rider’s feelings and is very quick to come to his rider’s aide, should his need to be rescued. He likes to play little jokes on his rider. He especially likes to hide things from him, like hiding tunics, or hiding riding straps, or anything within the reach of his feet or jaw. As he grews his joke playing side receded, but not totally gone. He will often hide things from his rider, just to keep him on his toes. This is quite a charmer of the greens, and a gold or two if one strikes his fancy. He is a smooth talker and a huge flirt. He will often chase the greens more than golds, unless he feels he actually has a chance with a gold.
He will sometimes soothingly remind his rider about this or that. He likes to push his rider to do better at a lot of things but to not the point of being way too pushy. He knows his rider’s limits, and his own. Should Sarkith actually win the honor of siring a clutch of eggs, he’ll almost never let his rider forget it. He will boast about it to every dragon within ‘hearing’ range. Despite being boastful about it, Sarkith will be just as protective about clutches that he's sired. This bronze adores babies, human, dragon, or otherwise. He will often have a funny expression on his draconic face, his tongue lolling out of his maw as he watches babies move about, if he's in sight of any. And being the Dragon of the Weyrling Master makes him even more of a big softy as he and his will try to instill survival in their Rider's small brains.
History:
As far as Sarkith is concerned, he hatched and impressed, when he was supposed to hatch. He and his went through Weyrling Training and survived, made it into a Wing and did their best at being good Rider and Dragon. He chased many Greens and a few golds in his time, and look forward to teaching the young Dragons how to be good Riders and Dragons. He is looking forward to Aeriath's clutch on the sands.
Clutch: 1240 - 18 Turns, Gold Marskath by Bronze Resonth
Hatching Order: Second to hatch, fourth to impress
Text Color: 756d06
Mind Voice: Sarkith's mind voice is a bit gruff. Like a person trying to talk and growl at the same time. But when he is caring and soothing to his rider, his voice is soft and there is no hint of the gruffness. Though when he speaks to other dragons, the gruffness is back. His tone is evenly monotone except for when he is speaking to his rider. He has a low volume when he speaks but the volume will rise when he gets upset or even excited.
