Appearance: Anaryn has a pretty appearance, but one thing is obvious, she's short! She stands at five feet and three inches. She is petite, weighing 134 pounds. But since she's pregnant, she's gained ten pounds. She has nice muscle definition but not to make her look like a freak. She is nicely proportioned and has a heart-shaped face. Her eyes are nice and large, almond-shape, and her eyes are a pale shade of brown. Her hair is short and tightly curled spirals of medium brown that she keeps short to manage better. She has a long leather strap that she uses to keep her hair out of her eyes when she's cooking. She typically wears trousers and loose-fitting tunics, especially since she's pregnant.
Personality: Anaryn is down to earth and very level-headed. She hates being pinned down or kept within the Hold. It will make her crazy if she is kept in one place for longer than a few days. She loves children and adores the fact that she's pregnant. She's one of those people that could care less that a man wouldn't want to have anything to do with her or her child. She is still prone to tantrums and fits of anger. She hates anyone telling her that a woman can't do this or that 'in her condition'. She'll knock the person on their backside if they say that to her face. She loves animals and has a peculiar affinity for them. She loves them very much and will get in a fight with anyone that doesn't love pets as much as she. And the memory of accidentally killing an animal in her childhood still haunts her.
She is anxious for the birth of her child and hopes the baby will be healthy. She has feelings for one of the other male Healers, but she's not talking. She doesn't want to be treated special by anyone. She's of the same rank as they are, no better. She works hard when she's assigned duties and doesn't like it when others slack off. She has a bad habit of over-exerting herself, even while pregnant, and has to be dragged to bed. Especially when she's been told by a healer to stay in bed! If you want to really scare or freak her out, dangle a tunnelsnake in front of her. She hates tunnelsnakes and is petrified of them. Though, she's never been sick in her life. She strives to be healthy and to keep herself in peak performance and ready for anything. She views being sick as being weak, and she has a schedule she does just to keep herself in perfect health.
Hobbies/Skills: Apprentice Cook. Can make a good edible meal from nearly anything.

History: Anaryn was born as an orphan. Her Father died a day before her birth and her mother, small as she was, died during childbirth. And to her knowledge, Anaryn has no siblings, or half-siblings. She was dropped off at the Hold's door with only a piece of hide with her name on it. She had the usual childhood as a brat, trouble always seemed to follow her. She couldn't help it but she had a fascination with fire and burning things. But when an animal was burned, she stopped. She'd set a fire in the nearby forest, an animal's home, and the animal came out and caught fire. It died painfully, screaming and running around to try and put itself out. Anaryn vowed never to do that again. Her foster parents presented her with a puppy on her tenth birthing day.
She does her best to keep from causing trouble and succeeds, most of the time. At the age of twelve turns, she began her training as a Healer apprentice. Now she is older, and now pregnant. She had been ‘fooling’ around with a male Journeyman two turns older than her before being told that she was going with another group of selected individuals to find the Dragonriders. He’d told her that if she had her monthly bleeding regularly, it was highly unlikely that she would get pregnant. Or so he said. Unfortunately, he’d lied. And what's worse, she's been on the Expedition for a while now.
And she'd just found out a few days ago when she'd experienced pain in her stomach, but not enough to cause her to have the child. And she is fearful that if they don't find the ellusive Dragonriders, she may have to have her child in the wilderness.
Name: Athenath (Ath-een-ath)
Color: Green
Age: 2 Turns
Description: Larger than average, Athenath is a well proportioned green. Her hide is olive colored and one shade throughout. She has a great amount of presence despite her rather drab coloring and she uses it to her advantage. The green looks much darker when she is wet or has just been oiled but grows light quickly as she dries. Well muscled, she is a sturdy green with a great amount of power behind her. Personality: Athenath is a very wise dragon. She weighs the good and bad of every decision so that she can get the best outcome. As wise as she is, she is well liked by other dragons and is often looked to for advice whether it be about which green to chase or whether to swim or sun. She has a strong, commanding personality for a green and her rider will have to have a strong will to get her to mind. She sees things as they are and not how she thinks they should be. Athenath values her own opinion over the opinions of others. This process of thought makes her a very self assured type.
Boldly courageous, she will never back down from something that she is afraid to do. Athenath has an inner strength that allows her to do things other dragons would be scared to try. This is not to say that she is not afraid as well, only that she would face her fear and come out the better for it. Athenath has a fondness for brown dragons as they are more level headed than her green and blue counterparts. She reveres Queens though she only respects Bronzes. She is unlikely to bespeak other humans unless expressly imposed upon to do so by her rider. Athenath has a surprisingly good memory for a dragon and seems to remember most things that she is taught. This attribute would make her a most interesting dragon to study and also a very valuable member of the Weyr.
