It was beautiful this morning, Osirith was done eating and they were headed for the beach for a bath and oiling. K'dan was never sure who got more oil on them but he didn't mind one bit. He loved that quiet one and one time they shared. Only thing that made it better was when others of like mind joined them.
I like it when the flits join us too MINE, they get all the little places and their little claws feel good. Osirith told his rider as they walked toward the beach. How the blue could walk and not look where he was going was a mystery to K'dan.
Once they reached the water, Osirith went straight in to soak a bit while his rider got things ready. He made sure to put his dry things in a neat pile away from where they would be getting wet or oily. He had brought his lunch and a bottle of wine with him so when he was done he could spread out the blanket, eat his lunch, drink his wine and relax while his big blue lifemate sunned himself.
He grabbed his sweetsand and entered the water. Osirith came close enough for him to reach easily. It didn't take long for a Bronze, Gold and a Blue filt to join him. Smiling, K'dan whistled while he scrubbed. Osirith hummed softly out of pleasure and to join his rider in harmony. He wasn't paying attention to his surroundings, but soon they were joined by another pair coming up the beach.

He was fucking pissed. So fucking pissed off that he was not sure he could stand being around anyone right now. Nemesyth had lightly suggested they go to the lake, which was better than being inside right now. THEY WENT NORTH WITHOUT HIM! His cheeks were the color of the red fruit that grew so well here in the South. He was practically scarlet with rage. Nemesyth too felt he had been betrayed by those in charge. They had not gone to just any hold without him either. They had visited his parents! His parents who had no idea that he was gay or rode a green dragon. They must be thinking about how wonderful it was that he was a rider imagining he rode at least a brown. The disappointment of having a greenrider for a son was going to be the least of their familial issues when he decided to tell them that he was only interested in men. Oh that conversation was going to go so well! N'var was fuming so much he was sure people could see him coming a mile away. For once he was not fighting his way through the crowd of people to get out of the Weyr. He couldn't stand it anymore. Some fresh air, he needed some fresh air. He ended up at the Lake because it had always held for him since coming to the Weyr almost three Turns ago a sense of peace. This is where he had found strength. He ignored the fact that other people existed because he could not deal with people right now. N'var went from angry to hurt by the time he found a place to sit near the water. Nemesyth had come down from her sunning place and laid down next to her rider. He felt his emotions overcoming him and hugged the dragon's neck to his chest. Then he began to cry. No one here cared about him except for Nemesyth and this act of complete indifference to his feelings only confirmed that for him.

Nemesyth and hers come MINE Osirith said as he looked up the beach at the approaching pair and swimming closer toward shore. Greetings Nemesyth, are you coming for a swim too? the blue asked the pretty green as he arched his neck.
K'dan looked up when Osirith spoke. He saw the pair walking toward the beach. Something seemed off, he wasn't sure what it was but from the greenriders movements he looked mad, upset or both. He decided to wait on approaching them. When N'var sat down on the beach and hugged the greens neck, he knew something was wrong.
Lets get you cleaned up big boy. See what is the matter if you wish. Let me know if there is something I can do, he said as he grabbed his sweet sand. He didn't keep quiet about things. He acted like he hadn't noticed the pair on the beach. K'dan started whistling as he worked. It made it better when Osirith started humming along with him. He wanted the other rider to know someone else was here I case he wanted to talk. He didn't want N'val to think he snuck up on him or that he was intruding.

The green acknowledged the other dragon after a few moments of silence. She generally liked male dragons as companions far more than other greens. Maybe later. Mine is sad. The green said with a depressing sigh. She was sad that he was sad and there was nothing the blue could do about it right now. The greenrider might not be the easiest person to approach but he was in no way going to treat this other rider badly when he was feeling so low. He could use a friend or just a shoulder to cry on, though Nemesyth was letting him cry on her right now.
The crying came to a stop after a few minutes, when the dark haired young man let go of Nemesyth’s neck. N’var was not prone to bouts of crying. He was frustrated with the way he was treated. Did they think he was so stupid that he could not conduct himself in a proper fashion? He was a born diplomat, those moron leaders should have taken him along. Nemesyth soothed him with words of agreement.
How is your bath, Osirith? The green asked politely now that her rider was no longer a weeping mess of emotion. He was growing stronger now. It was not good that he had found out about this but people talked and eventually word was going to get out. It would have been better for the Weyr had the Weyrleader told him. Now D’ero was able to go back to Keroon but he had to stay here.
They took the brownrider because he was a brownrider and more likely to be asked to go on missions. Greenriders were not treated with the same level of dependence. Well N’var was not going to stand for being treated like a simpleton. He was an intelligent young man and had more knowledge of the politics in the North than anyone else on this Continent.

MINE, Nemesyth's is very sad. She didn't say why. Osirith told his rider. He watched the pair on the beach for a moment before turning his attention back to his bath. There was a little green flit fluttering above his head. He greeted the little thing with a careful nose bump, inviting the little one to help wash his eye ridges. Arching his neck around to see what his rider found next to his wing, the blue had his nose almost in the way.
Hey you get your nose out of it, I can't see when you get in the way. K'dan complained good naturedly. He noticed the green flit but went back to inspecting the rough place he found just under Osiriths wing. It wasn't there when they bathed a few days ago and he wanted to make sure it wasn't something he needed to have the healer look at. When did you get this rough patch Ris? I don't remember it being here before. He asked his egyption blue lifemate. He knew he would have remembered it if it was there earlier when they strapped up to join wing practice. He felt terrible at any injury his dragon got.
It started bothering me during wing practice MINE it is nothing. Nemesyth asks how my bath is coming, may I invite her to join us? I see hers is sitting on his own now. Osirith asked swinging his head back around toward the lovely green.
"Yes, ask her to join us. Maybe we could cheer up her rider." K'dan spoke just loud enough for the blue to hear, sometimes he did that just because he liked to talk out loud.
Nemesyth, would you like to join us? MINE hopes it will cheer up YOURS. The blue asked. I have a patch that isn't good, I'm telling MINE its nothing but he is worried about it. Perhaps YOURS can come convince him its ok? Osirith asked where his couldn't hear. Maybe that would help the greenrider too.
