OOC: Feel free to jump in anyone and meet Zaylee Zaylee's brow was furrowed with lines, slicked with sweat, and every so often a strand of her blonde hair would fall into her face- which was then promptly blown away by a purse of her lips. The greenrider had dirt up to her elbows and at the moment her hands were buried in a pile of rich soil. Ever since discovering that she had a green thumb, Zaylee had taken to planting things on her weyrledge in a moveable trough. Since her foster mother was a cook, Zaylee grew a few different types of small vegetables and several different cooking herbs. While Zaylee was sure some thought her small garden madness, it helped her unwind at the end of a long day. There were even times Zaylee had come home to her weyr so frustrated that she'd nearly pulled all of her precious plants up by the roots. Today, thankfully, was not one of those days, but after a particularly hard Threadfall, it made Zaylee feel better to tend to some of her precious green friends. Aphrioth was especially fond of the garden, oddly enough, but only because everything grown in it was essentially her favorite color- green. With her dragon memory- which was short term- Aphrioth had to be reminded every couple of sevendays which plant was in which pot since she liked to "help" Zaylee garden by giving her instructions from where she was usually perched behind her rider. Having just finished re-potting a plant, Zaylee rocked back on her heels and gave her forehead a swipe with the sleeve of her tunic, "I think that's all for today." She announced even as her back screamed in protest and her stomach rumbled in hunger. I think that's a wise decision, Zay. I can feel your hunger. You should go eat, apparently, even humans need food. There was a touch of amusement and sarcasm laced behind the comment that made Zaylee smile. Retreating into her weyr Zaylee took the moment to peel off her sweat soaked clothes and properly scrub down via the wash basin. With fresh clothes and her hair pulled back into a loose braid, Zaylee hopped aboard Aphrioth for a short trip down to the bowl. Thank you, my love. See you in a bit. Giving the green an appreciative thump on the flank, Zaylee hopped down and strode into the Dining Cavern where she eagerly inhaled the delicious aroma of food. Grabbing a tray, Zaylee headed straight for the service line where she loaded up on what appeared to be a cut of slow-roasted wherry, spicy diced tubers, and, of course, a delicious helping of greens. It was just the kind of meal that Zaylee liked. Putting a kup of klah onto her tray, Zaylee headed towards the first table that had an empty seat. "Mind if I sit?" She asked to the dragonriders at the table.

M'nor was in the weyr hall eating his food and talking with a few other riders about the return of a gold dragon to their weyr when he heard a woman's voice. He looked up to see Zaylee a green rider if he remebered right and said, "Go ahead," as he ate some more of his roll. The wingsecond didn't know the green rider very well because she wasn't in his wing and he hadn't participated in any of her mating flights before. The young man continued to speak to the green rider that was near him and talked for a while longer then turned his attention back to the lovely green rider infront of him.
"I guess we haven't been formally introduced I'm M'nor as he smiled at her," said M'nor as he best smiled played across his face. He was a known womanizer to most of the weyr and a beautiful woman always got his attention. M'nor had once thought about taking a weyrmate a few days ago till he caught her with a blue rider. The wingsecond was now on the market again and he was interested in the woman that just sat down. It was one thing for a rider to be with a lower caverns worker yet only some things could other dragon riders understand. His smile stayed as he waited for her response back to him and a few of the nearby riders upon hearing him speak laughed at him because they knew his ways with women.

Zaylee took a glance at the man's shoulder knots that marked him as a Wingsecond, and then returned his smile, "It's nice to meet you, M'nor. I am Zaylee of Green Aphrioth." She pushed around some of the greens on her plate as she shoveled up some of the tubers. Although she'd never formally met M'nor, she'd heard of him through her twin sister, Vaylee. Word around the Weyr was that M'nor was smooth with women, so smooth, in fact, that he was rarely seen with the same one twice.
Keeping her guard up was best, Zaylee determined, since she wasn't in the market for a fling, at least not at that point in her life. Zaylee was more interested in her gardening and making sure that she and Aphrioth were as prepared for Threadfall as they could be.

"Nice to meet you Zaylee," sad M'nor as he smiled at her and was pleased that he hadn't gotten a bad response from her. He sometimes got a bad response from green riders because of his reputation. M'nor could tell however that she wasn't really flirting for his attention and sighed because he wasn't going to get anywhere. If he tried a little harder then maybe he could get a little further said, "Yes, your green is a lovely green,". The young green was beautiful and hoped that if he complimented her then she would open up a little.
He continued to eat a little more then asked, "So what do you think of the new gold that has come," with a smile on his face? M"nor knew that everyone had a opinion on the new weyrwoman and waited for her response to his question. The wing second had yet to meet her and would wait for a later date. she was no doubt busy with all the metallic dragons seeking her attention and had heard even the weyrlings wanted her attention. She had better things to do then meet every rider and then looked over with wondering eyes to admire the green rider. The brown rider had his share of green riders of the turns and wondered what she'd heard about him.

Zaylee considered the man's question. She had gone through Weyrlinghood with Suynie and Rhiannoth and remembered the pair easily. Of course, back then, Suynie had just been a Gold Weyrling and as such, her only extra responsibilities at the time had been some occasional lessons with Raelwyn and Aeriath. Now that Suynie was Senior Weyrwoman, however, Zaylee was sure that she was going to be incredibly busy. Still, it wouldn't hurt to greet her old friend and see how her stay at Haven had went. Zaylee hadn't been one of the riders to greet the goldrider in the weyrbowl on her arrival because she'd known that it would be overwhelming for Suynie having everyone greet her all at once.
"Well, Suynie and I were in Weyrling classes together. I actually got some pretty nasty cuts on my legs from Rhiannoth when she hatched. She bowled me over in her search of Suynie." Zaylee recounted the tale and still had the scars on her legs to prove it. "She's only in her mid-twenties but I'm sure she's gained some valuable experiencing working at Haven. I guess we'll see how she handles things here."

M'nor continued to listen to the rider's opinion because who better to get information from then a a fellow weyrling classmate of their new queen. He listened then thought about it and would introduce himself later on as he finished eating his food then prepared to leave as he had to get to duties of wingsecond. The drilling of the wing had to be done yet there was this beautiful green rider infront of him. He asked, "I was about to go for a walk around the lake would you like to join me," as he looked at her? While he waited for a response and thought that it would be a lovely day for a walk around the lake.
The wingsecond smiled at her for a moment then waited as he finished as he drank down the klah. He had a way with women and he loved the company of green riders. M'nor liked green riders for the simple aspect that they we're usually stronger then the typical women. It was also nice to be with someone that got what it was like to ride a dragon and not simply seek a rider for what it could get them. While he had been there before with a woman simply wanting to be with him just because he was a wingsecond and rode a brown dragon. The woman had wanted a weyrmate and out of the lower caverns it had been the end of their relationship.

Zaylee considered the wingsecond's offer, and nearly declined since she knew of his reputation with women. But, considering that she did enjoy walking and being outdoors and she was sure Vaylee would scold her for not taking the opportunity, Zaylee took a deep drink of her klah before answering, "Sure, why not? The weather's great today." And since it was spring there were several things in bloom that really caught the greenrider's attention.
Since gardening was Zaylee's favorite past time she was often on the look out for different plants and herbs that she could dig up and transplant into her little garden on her ledge.

M'nor would almost have bet that she would have said no yet she suprised him when she said yes. He smiled at her then went to take his things over to the washing section and left them there then came back over to her. "I could put your things away for you," said M'nor as he offered to be a gentlemen for a moment. The wingsecond was known for being a gentlemen to usually get his way in with women and then smiled at her. She was a green rider and that would most likely prove well for him yet he would just enjoy a nice walk for now. A nice walk to forget the holdless, thread, and all the pressures that came with being a wingsecond.
"Your company will be much enjoyed," said M'nor as he smiled at her with his best most charming smile. M'nor knew a few special places with the best outlook around the lake which would make a good place to stop to admire it. The man waited for her response as he mentally planned their walk and how it might go. He was going to enjoy this beautiful afternoon with a lovely companion as he smiled at her.

Zaylee grinned a little as M'nor took her plate and cup for her and then returned. The man could be a gentleman, that was certain, even if it was probably only to impress her. Still, Zaylee was a big girl and she could enjoy a little time with a man without her heart being involved. Vaylee would be proud. She decided as she stood.
Slipping her hand into the crook of the Wingsecond's arm, Zaylee returned the man's smile, "Where are we going then?" She asked as they headed out of the Dining Cavern.

M'nor had to smile as the green rider's arm found it into the crook of his arm and then they started to leave. "Well, I thought a walk around the lake would be perfect," said M'nor as he smiled at her. She was a lovely green rider and really was what he expected of a green rider. The brown rider had quite the reputation yet enjoyed the hunt as that was half the battle for him. "We can take our time as I think my brown is currently sleeping," said M'nor as he mentally checked and sure enough his brown dragon was sleeping away the day. M'nor took easy steps to enjoy the moment because he hadn't intended on such lovely company for this evening.
He had counted on having to go over wing formation charts and plan out tomorrow's training schedule. M'nor was tired of all the seriousness that the wing leader was making them do even if it was his best friend. The brown rider was more for fun then the rest of them. It was true that he sometimes shirked responsibility it was only after pushing himself for a long period of time. It was his opinion that one day he would die a horrible death either by thread or a hold less hand. He was going to enjoy every moment that he could and this evening would be spent in the company of a beautiful green rider. "What a lovely evening for a walk," said M'nor as he smiled at her as they arrived at the lake. He noticed that no one else was around and this was perfect because he hated big crowds.
The lake was even empty of dragons bathing and he was truly thankful for that. He loved dragons yet they tended butt in at the worst moment and then laugh at it later. "Tell, me do you have any hobbies," asked M'nor as he smiled at his lovely company and wanted to get to know her better? M'nor had to agree that this was turning out to be much better then he'd ever thought it would be.

Zaylee was enjoying the walk. It wasn't often these days that she let herself be escorted by a nice looking man anywhere. Usually she was too busy working in her plants, or heading off to a wing practice to do much of anything that involved leisure. It felt good to have M'nor's attention, even if he did have the reputation of being something of a womanizer.
When M'nor asked her about her hobbies the greenrider couldn't stop the little smile that turned up the corners of her mouth, "I like to garden," she confessed, "I keep a tub of flowers and herbs on my weyrledge. Usually if I've had a really stressful day I'll go through and weed, pluck up plants, and plant new ones. It's something that I've always been good at."
Since Zaylee's mother was a cook she also enjoyed growing the herbs and giving them to the kitchens, it made her feel as if she were helping out even when she wasn't in the skies fighting Thread.

M'nor was enjoying her company as he listened to her talk and thought for a moment before responding. "I don't really have a talent for planting," said M'nor as he smiled at his beautiful company. She truly was a sight to behold and seemed to give green riders a good name. It was true that green female rider we're usually beautiful creatures and this was no different. He said, "Well I've got a talent for gambling and for exploring," as he thought of the different adventures that he took all the time. The wing second would usually find himself out of the weyr down at one of the cot holds gambling. If not there then he would go out exploring and it usually got him into trouble.
When he stopped around the bend as he saw a beautiful view that showed most of the lake. "It's truly beautiful here," said M'nor as he just looked out taking it all in and then thought of another question. "I hate to be noisy about relations however you seem to remind me of another green rider I just can't think of her name," asked M'nor as he took his company? She seemed to remind him of someone if only he could put his finger on it. The two of them seemed to hold themselves the same way and he was quiet as he thought about this matter. It was not unusual for riders to have siblings or even half siblings around the weyr with mating flights going the way they usually did.

Zaylee chuckled a little when M'nor mentioned that she reminded him of another greenrider. Of course, poor M'nor wasn't the first to have this problem and Zaylee knew, without a doubt, that he wouldn't be the last, "I'm sure you're thinking of my twin sister, Vaylee. She rides green Cupith. We're nearly identical." To most people Zaylee figured that they probably couldn't tell her and her sister a part, but a few of their clothes friends could see the differences. A minute scar here, or a difference of mannerisms there, small things, but things that made them individuals nonetheless.
"Do you have any siblings M'nor?" She asked as they walked. It was rare for someone to not have a brother or sister, or even a herd of them for that matter.

M'nor said, "Yes, four younger sisters all pains," as he thought of his four younger sisters that lived in the lower caverns. He'd heard that they graced the beds of riders and that he might very well be on his way to becoming a uncle. "I think that with them I'll be a uncle many times over," said M'nor as he looked at his beautiful company. The wing second loved his family however they weren't in his life regularly. His sisters hadn't impressed a dragon when they'd stood on the sands and decided on a life in the lower caverns. "I can't believe what a beautiful day we've been blessed with," said M'nor as he smiled at her with a playful glint in his eye.
"Your twin sister is a good woman and twins are so rare," said M'nor as he didn't know of any other twins in the weyr. The idea of twins we're rare even with dragons though the last clutch had yielded twin blue dragons. He'd personally would have liked along with the rest of the weyr twin gold dragons. When he stopped his talking then just took in the beautiful view and was pondering his life. His best friend was already taken a interest in his offspring and M'nor didn't have anyone. If he did ever fall for someone could he ever get that serious and never be with anyone else.

Zaylee chuckle with M'nor described his sisters as a pain. She couldn't say the same about Vaylee, but she had grown up with some foster siblings that she'd wanted to strangle and went out of her way to avoid to this day. When M'nor remarked on the day, Zaylee's eyes flew upward, looking at the pleasant sky that was occasionally dotted with a dragon coming in to land.
"Yes, twins are rare," she thought of the day so long ago when she and Vaylee had first discovered each other since they'd grown up with different foster parents, "and quite a novelty. You should see the looks we get from people when we go somewhere together." Being twins also allowed for good practical jokes when the moment called for it.
