(Bahari, Copper, Gibbon, Hinuk, Irinn, Karavel, Megdela, Seirsha and Kyrah) Posting Order: Established as people post. Once you’ve made your post, posting order will be placed in this post. 1. HG 2. Rizu 3. Ise ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~ The Creche was being evacuated but the Brat Pack, as usual, had a plan. Seirsha made for the passage where they had hidden the weapons they had commandeered. She lifted the small sword off the ground which she had claimed for her own. They would be so proud when she was able to defend her Weyr. He mother would forgive her for disappearing then. The pack would be exalted for their bravery and talent. When the others arrived, the same look of excitement was in their eyes. They could do this thing. She knew they could. When they came out in front of the Hatching Sands, they had no idea the chaos that would soon surround them. A Holdless eventually came upon them but of course it was like 11 to 1 so they were actually successful in getting rid of him. He came back. He came back with many more people. She raised the sword to defend herself but felt the cold shiver of fear run up her back. Faranth save her! Her mother was going to kill her if she lived through this. Her mind was racing as she tried to remember what few defensive moves she knew of. In that moment she realized that Holdless were a lot bigger in person. Especially when there were a bunch of them together. What were they thinking? She thought she might wet herself her fear grew so much in those few seconds. The last thing she wanted was to seem weak amongst her friends. Trying to gather more inner strength, Seirsha looked over at Arrow. Her arm began to ache from holding that sword and she wasn’t sure any of them could go on much longer. They had successfully fought off…like one person. The young blonde was feeling more scared than she had ever felt before. She was going to die, right? The next thing she heard was a low growl. Did they have a wild Feline with them. Of all the things they had learned to steer clear of it was felines. Children had been killed before right? ----- Emera’s Gold Orlai contacted Eve in a short and fast paced message of images. Oh for Faranth’s sake… How was she supposed to derive anything from that? The red head mused, strapping one more knife in a place that was hardly visible. She had just hunted down and killed one of the bigger Holdless in the Bowl and had moved inside to find more. She took her time, having Eve repeat the message to her as much as she could. Eve was bright for a flit but flitters were not known to be very smart on the whole. Kyrah finally deciphered what the Golds were going on about. For the love of little green dragons couldn’t these damned brats find anything else to do with their time then get into trouble. And of course it was now her task to find them and keep them safe. No doubt, D’seus’s son was behind it too. She’d like to give him a piece of her mind. The child was not entitled to anything as far as she was concerned. Eve however calmly let young Orlai know Ky was finding them. Leeto’s padded feet made little noise as Kyrah sent Eve ahead. They were often seen near the Caverns which was where she suspected they were headed when they ran into trouble. Children for whatever reason found the Hatching Sands important to their little world. Sighing she took it upon herself to run. Her arrows were knotched and ready. Ky was deadly and she knew it. Nothing could shake her confidence. Red headed though she might be, during a battle she knew better than to lose her cool. As Kyrah took up a fast pace, Leeto followed. Finally they heard something and the image Eve showed her made her more determined to run. Hold on kids. Was her thought as she saw the image of the group of Holdess coming at them. Eve’s directions were a bit muddled but Ky was used to the form of communication the Gold used. The firelizard was well trained, better than most and Kyrah spent a lot of her free time ensuring they were synched mentally. As for the large jungle feline that followed her, he knew his commands too. She would release him on those Holdless and they would be sorry they ever went to kill little children. She would make them pay. Growling the large spotted feline was heard before seen. The sound was eerie. Even Kyrah felt a shiver reach her spine as the sound reverberated off the cavernous passage.

(Seriously, this post is everywhere. I've never done anything like this before -- but very excited over this plot. ) The excitement was overflowing withing the Pack, they had carefully planne their meeting places and used many of the secret passages as storage places for anything the brats had deemed could be useful in such an emergency. Perhaps they had never really thought it through, and they certainly hadn't expected the attack this fast, but they were ready -- or so they thought at least. Arrow, as he was fondly called by his tight group, had always loved sparring and mock battles -- he'd even managed to convince D'seus time and time again to train him whenever the man wasn't too busy. Of course, the lessons were few and far between, being Wingleader was a rank that came with many responsabilities, but Hinuk had no problem to train on his own -- or with other of the Brat Pack boys. While he might not be as skilled as he believed himself to be the boy had a confidence that surpaced belief, and as he watched his team send the Holdless packing and away from the Hatching Sands he couldn't help but feel swollen with pride. Then the bastard came back with more Holdless. A frown crossed his features before Hinuk gripped the hilt of his own sword tightly and firm, just liek he'd been taught. Glow was the one closest to him, the older boy catching the slightly shiver that shook the girl ever so slightly. "Focus!" She needed to, they all needed to. None of them could afford losing their spunk now and quivering in fear. Not now! A glance was spared around him at the rest of the weyrbrats, steeling himself as much as he could. They really hadn't thought this through... But now it was too late to turn back. Still, he was the leader and as such it meant he was responsible for all of them. He needed to keep them safe, this was no creche game. And then that growl pierced through the cavernous area, echoing around them and even managing to unsettle Hinuk himself -- long enough for a glint of fear to show in his eyes before the blond composed himself once more. That was most definitely a feline's growl -- he'd experienced one in the jungle close enough to know. Still, as the erie sound reverberated around the cavern's walls the boy caught the look of uncertainty and surprise amound the holdless close to the entrance of the Hatching Sands. It'd been enough to pause their stampeedign assault towards the kids, so that meant the feline was not theirs. His eyes turned forward, over to the left stands and to a lump of wherhide sack poking from the side slightly. The bag of small river pebbles they had stached up over the past sevendays, the brats having decided they would be cool ranged weapons if they ever needed them. And indeed they needed them now, rushing towards so many holdless would simply be suicide of their part. "Brat Pack! Nine o' clock, now!"Taking advantage of the holdless pause Arrow took the lead once more, watching as some of the weyrbrats quickly caught on and started a dash towards the area where the sacks were hidden. He held on back long enough to make sure the others were all headed in the same direction, they couldn't afford to get separated now, before following with the rest. In minutes their little hands had already untangled one of the sacks and spilled the pebbles across the sands, Hinuk grabbing a nice round one before chugging it with all his arm strenght in the direction of the holdless, and watching with a smug smirk as the pebble smacked the man square in the area where the neck met his left shoulder. No amount of training could make that hit not hurt. Hinuk hoped the barrage of stones was enough to keep the holdless at bay, at least long enough for them to figure out something else. Or until some of the adults got there -- damn, it was at those moments he wanted a flitter (any flitter would do right now really) of hiw own. That way they could have at least sent an SOS of some sort. A side glance was given in the direction of their secret passage, not too far off from their current position. Turning to Glow he whispered softly, he didn't want the others to get more unnerved than they probably already were. "If things start getting ugly and we don't get back-up soon we need to herd the younger ones into the passages -- they're narrow enough to be a challenge of their own for those brutes to move around in them."Hinuk only hoped whatever creature had produced that earlier growl was somehow on their side. Faranth, I'll skin you alive if that's a wild feline strayed from the jungle and into the weyr... They already had more than they could chew with the holdless, the last they needed was a wild feral feline to add to the list of things that could kill them one now in a single blow.

Like the rest of the Brat Pack, Gibbon saw the attack as a chance to prove just how good they were. Sneaking off was easy and Gibbon had clamed a sword that he needed both hands for. It wasn’t a very large sword but he wasn’t very big either, plus he called Fiddle, not Sword for a reason. He followed the rest of the gang through their tunnels to the Hatching Sands and was ready to help guard them with the rest of the Pack. The Weyr would see how brave they were and they would finally get the respect they deserved! And fire lizards! How could they not get some fire lizards and other pets out of this if they kept the sands free from the Holdless?
At first things were kind of boring. It was just all of them standing around and waiting. And Gibbon hated waiting. But finally the Holdless came! One of them came to the sands and ran away in terror when the Brat Pack had ran after him, waving their weapons in the air. They celebrated their victory, cheering and slapping each other on the back. Their parents would all be so proud of them when they heard about this.
Their victory was short lived though as the Holdless returned. And in greater numbers. These ones didn’t run off right away either. Things went from being fun and playful to suddenly being dangerous. He glanced at everyone else, his palms suddenly sweaty forcing him to shift the grip on his weapon. Arrow didn’t look so confident any more but he didn’t look scared. Fiddle took heart and tried to raise the sword up more so he could try and swing it at the Holdless.
The growl that suddenly cut through the sands was enough to make everyone stop for a moment. It was scary enough to hear a feline outside, it was even worse when the sound of the growl echoed through the sounds almost making it sound like there was more then one feline around. What courage Fiddle had was quickly slipping away with the thought of trying to fight off Holdless and felines. Thankfully Arrow started giving orders and Gibbon turned to follow them, going the wrong way at first before he realized everyone was running towards the stands where they had left bags of rocks.
“Why did you yell Nine o’ clock instead of just the stands?!” The boy grumbled as he dropped his sword and helped pull the bags open. Rocks spilled out and Gibbon grabbed a couple of the large ones. They weren’t even as big as his fist, but they fit comfortably in his hand. He hucked one at the Holdless, flinching a bit as it flew past his target, missing the man by feet. Forcing himself to calm down a little, Gibbon tried again. This time he smacked one of the Holdless in the chest, sure he had been aiming for his head but at least he had hit something this time.

((If you have yet to post you may still do so even though I am moving the plot along. It has been three days since this was posted and I have a two day rule going. So once you post your character I will rearrange the posting order. ))
The moment of panic passed as Arrow shouted more to her than the others. Seirsha nodded to her leader. She had to do this if she wanted to live. And she did want to live! Taking in a big breath she did as her leader asked. Standing with the pack, facing the danger that threatened the Weyr she suddenly forgot fear. Running where they had hidden the sacks she grinned. Yes, they could win this. Why couldn’t they?
Her body found a new strength as she dropped the sword and grabbed some stones. Of course Fiddler would have to open his mouth with some remark. “Now is not the time to worry about usage of words Fiddler!” She said a sharp bite to her tone. They had something else to worry about at the moment. The stones were keeping a good number of them at bay though one or two of the group seemed less bothered by the pain.
Seirsha felt the strength in hope which had buoyed her up thus far starting to dwindle as she realized how many stones were left in her bag. Shard IT! She thought with a grimace growing on her innocent features. She heard the words being spoken to her and shook her head at first. Could she leave them? Evelys was her closest friend, she certainly wouldn’t leave her to herd a bunch of ten turn olds to the exit. Biting her lip she knew that she would have no other choice. The young ones looked to them, Evelys was a better fighter. And no way would Arrow or Dash leave.
After a long sigh, “I’ll get them out. But you three better be right behind us.” Despite the girl’s hard tone, it was easy to hear the concern within it. “Give me a signal when its time.” She said as she looked down to watch the stones dwindling from her sack. How many were left five, six? Only a handful, she thought as she gave the rest to one of the smaller girls and picked up her sword. Her blue eyes meeting Evelys’hazel ones. Nodding she moved forward, their shoulders nearly touching.
Both had seen the two largest of the Holdless coming closer despite the rocky barrage. This was a matter of protecting the others. It was the way things were. Dash and Arrow would take on the other man and then if she and Spinner needed some help they would assist. She saw the sweat beading from Spinner’s forehead and knew her own was the same despite the headband she had on. The swords in their hands were too much weight for their small bodies but like Between were they going to admit to it.
The girls were keeping up, one swing of the sword and then another. Neither girl was prepared for how strong one blow of the sword could be. The man knocked Seirsha several feet where she landed with a thud into the sands, she felt blood coming from her head but ignored it as she watched what was happening with dread. What color the pale girl had to her face drained almost immediately and not from blood loss.
The big Holdless man disarmed Spinner and grabbed her to him. He purposefully looked at the other children and while Spinner squirmed in his arms he took only one more second before taking his blade to her neck. Seirsha heard her own voice come out of her throat before she could control it. “NOOOO!”Her shout was half a sob. The man had slit Spinner’s throat.
Seirsha stood with a quickness she did not know she possessed, tears streaming down her face. Like Fall was he going to keep her friend over there away from her. She felt a rage within her grow and she started to run at the man but stopped suddenly as she saw the spotted feline enter the Cavern. She felt herself taking a couple of steps backwards. The large feline rounded the corner at an amazing speed considering his size. He ran past the smaller Holdless to the one who held the bleeding form of Evelys. For a moment Seirsha thought the beast was coming for her but he did not. The large feline pounced on the man and grabbed his neck with his powerful jaws.
Then she saw arrows fly.
Gold Eve flew into the Cavern amid her owner’s arrows and perched on one of the seats in the Stands watching what was happening but unable to help. Kyrah was seething with anger and she only became angrier when she finally made it to the Caverns. It was clear she had been running quite a way to get there, even with the running she did every day, her breath was fast and her heart pounded. She heard Leeto take a man down and began to shoot arrows at the nearest of the Holdless.
One was down already but it was quite a pickle really because she was the only one there to fight. The kids had gotten into enough trouble. Although she did not know just how much until the red head finally entered the cavern. Sharding Fall what happened? All she saw was blood on the Sands and Leeto who had a kill grip on the man above all the blood. Was there a child under there? Oh please no! She thought as she gave Leeto a whistled command. The beast drug the large man off of the dead girl.
Kyrah’s patience was gone. She was going to take out the girl’s death on these morons. The red head made quick work of one the other larger man throwing her favorite knives his direction. Range weapons were really all her favorites but those knives were a gift to her from her uncle and she finally had the chance to do some damage with them.

(I got permission from HG to play Thoran [Dash] for this plot. I will be eventually adopting the little brat. ) Fiddler, Fiddle, Fiddler... The blond couldn't help but smirk ever so slightly at his comment, despite their situation, before focusing once more on the task at hand. Really, the boy was a klutz half the time and an annoyance the other half... but Hinuk had become fond of his personality. He had become fond of all of their personalities -- which made this quite the serious issue. He had to protect them, if worse came to worse, and keep them safe. Glow was immediately the one he bossed the most around -- seeing as neither him, Spinner or Dash would even dare to leave the scene. No, if retreat had to be done they'd stand their ground while the others got to safety. "Aye, aye, we'll be right along behind you guys..."He tried to reassure Glow, the blond knew how close she and his second in command where -- no doubt retreating would be hard for her. But she needed him to do it if they had to, for the sake of the younger ones. "Trust me, when the time comes I'll make it crystal clear."If everything did go south, though Hinuk didn't plan to wait until full out mayhem ensued before giving the order of retreat, he was plenty sure the sharp girl would knew when the right time to retreat was. His hands re-gripped the sword's handle back, tightly and firmly steadying around it as he watched the incoming duo of Holdless. Dash stood at his right, the dark skinned boy shaking for a moment before steeling himself besides Hinuk -- Spinner on his right before she was joined by Glow was well. "Alright girls, the one on the right is yours."It had sounded like a goo idea, the left one had been much more bulky and intimidating looking of the two strange men. Hinuk and Thoran were certain the two girls could handle the other one as the gang finished tossing around the remaining stones. With a bit of struggle, but much less than they had expected, Hinuk and Thoran had managed to fell their Holdless -- the blond pulling out his blade with some effort (mimicked by Dash) before he had turned to look at the girls. He had expected for them to be done, for Spinner to have her usual smirk on her face -- sure that she would be gloating and taunting him later in the night about how much faster she'd handled her Holdless when compared to him. Neither of the boys had been ready for the sudden pitiful cry of their second in command... And before either could spring into action the brute had slayed Evelys' throat in a quick, fluid motion. Her warm blood quickly drained, staining the warm sands below red, and Hinuk could feel his body petrifying at the sight. Evelys was... Spinner was... "EVELYYYS?!!!" "Glow! Get the smallest out of here! Now!!!" "You shaffing wherryhead bastards!!! I'll kill you!!!" "Dash! Shard it!!!"No, this weren't how things were meant to go -- they were supposed to be heroes, hold them off long enough before slithering back into the safe passages and returning, safe and sound, to all the other weyrbrats. They were supposed to acquire glory today, the satisfaction of knowing they had managed to help defend their home. They weren't supposed to lose one of their own in the process!!! Dash's cry had echoed the silent inward cry of their leader, Hinuk quickly turning to the angered Glow and barking his orders loud and firm. He couldn't have her in danger as well, he couldn't have any of them in danger anymore. Play time was over and done, and one of their own had payed the ultimate price for their idiocy and dreams. He'd barely registered the large feline, until the cat dragged the body of the Holdless off poor Evelys. Dash had been upon her in a second, his dark eyes filled with tears as he picked the girl and cradled her to his chest firmly. But it was for naught, her pulse and life were already long gone way before she could bleed to death, the Holdless' sword having pierced her chest when the feline had managed to tumble him over. She was gone. His Evelys was gone... And he was going to make them pay. With something that resembled a feral war cry the dark skinned boy had suddenly stood, dropping Spinner back into the sands before he rushed ahead and in the direction of the Holdless group. He was fast, the fastest of all of them, and Hinuk loudly cursed as he realized his intentions. He'd just lost his second in command... He was damn right not losing his third as well today!!! "Fiddler!!!"His voice called out to the nearest of the boys to his position, catching Gibbon's gaze with his own hardened and resolute azure eyes. He would not, absolutely not, let the same thing happen to Dash. Confident he didn't really need any more words to convey what he needed from Fiddler, his aid to protect Dash, the blond dashed off behind his friend. Sword in hand and firmly gripped he watched as another Holdless came to meet Thoran, each of their swords clashing against one another again and again, before Hinuk arrived to his side. As much as the Holdless would want, overpowering these kids resulted in a much more difficult task than he had expected -- and between the three of them they had managed to fell a second one. Before Dash could run off again Hinuk stretched out a hand, grabbing his closest friend by the collar of his shirt and firmly holding before he dragged him back and caused the boy to fall butt first on the sands. "Let go Hinuk!!!" "Are you shaffing insane?!" "I said let go!!!"He'd gripped his leader by the arm that held him down, managing to drag the startled Hinuk and make him lose his own balance before tumbling into the sands as well. Still, before Dash could get back up and rush away Hinuk had once more grabbed a hold of him, both boys tussling along the warm golden sands of the cavern as they struggled against one another. Dash growled, kicked and punched while Hinuk did the best he could to take it all as he held his friend firmly against the sands. Thoran's eyes were wild, almost feral, so shaken up by all of this and a sharp contrast against Hinuk's own. Those azure orbs had steeled themselves as hard as they could, trying hard and mightily to keep Thoran from dashing ahead again and getting into possibly fatal danger. Still, neither could deny the stabbing pain in their chests, both pair of eyes releasing a fluent stream of tears without permission as they struggled... And completely forgetting about the danger around them.Another Holdless was slowly approaching them both from behind, convinced the arguing brats would be easy game, sword in hand and glinting menacingly. Hinuk and Thoran were moth oblivious the the man, enraptured completely on each other as they tussled... Hinuk was confident Fiddler had their back, it was why he had called out to him in the first place. It was the reason he could allow his concentration to focus solely on his first real friend in Refuge Weyr... Squirming and trading blows against each other, each struggling to control the other. "Let go!!!" "Snap out of it, Dash!!!" "Let go, let go, letgooo!!! Spinner... I'll kill them!!!" "You shaffing won't! Not if you keep this up and rush at them blindly, you wherbrain!!!" "Evelys... My Evelys..." "I know... I know..."

Nonono everything was going so bad so fast. The rocks had made the Holdless pause for a moment, they had even held some of them back. And while a couple of them were still coming, they were coming more slowly now. But they were running out of rocks. Their throws got a little slower as all of the Brat Pack tried to make each one worth it. Fear and panic had started to grip at him but Fiddle refused to show it. He wasn’t one of the babies of the Pack. His chin jutted out in a stubborn way as he tried to throw his last remaining rocks harder, aiming for the eyes of the two men that came towards their group.
Rocks wouldn’t stop them though and Fiddle saw the looks that passed between their leaders. Arrow and Dash went to take on one of the men coming for them while Spinner and Glow tried to stop the other. Gibbon could only watch them before he grabbed one of the Baby Brats by their shirt and gave them a tug in the direction of their hideout. “Go, they won’t be able to follow us there, they’re too big for it.” He gave the kid a shake before letting him go and looked back at the ones fighting in time to see one of the men grab Spinner.
Everything seemed to move in slowmotion as the man lifted his blade. Gibbon just wanted to cover his eyes. This couldn’t be happening. It wasn’t suppose to happen. They were suppose to be heroes. And heroes never died in the songs or in the stories. Sure they might get hurt but they never died. Someone would always save them at the last moment.
Only this wasn’t a song and there was no one to save them. The blade slid over Evelys’ throat and all Gibbon could see was the red. Blood poured from his friend’s neck until the Holdless man that held her was suddenly slammed into from behind. But even then Fiddle couldn’t get the sight of all the blood out of his mind. There had been so much of it. The boy stood there frozen, his eyes wide and white. The color had been leeched out of his face and it seemed more likely that Gibbon would faint right there.
It was Arrow’s voice that brought him out of his daze. Gibbon didn’t know how long he had stood there frozen. His eyes were drawn back to the blood soaked sand before he forced himself to bend down and pick up the sword he had dropped when they had gone for the rocks. Nothing could be done for Spinner, but Dash was going to get himself killed if Arrow didn’t stop him. And someone had to stop Arrow from getting killed as well. Fiddle didn’t bother trying to hold the sword up very high as he ran after his friends.
He reached the Holdless man shortly after Arrow did and got a good whack in at the man’s leg. While it wasn’t the hardest blow, it was aimed at the knee and the Holdless dropped down, making it easier for them to kill him. Once he was dead, Arrow tackled Dash down to the ground. Gibbon could hear the two fighting with each other on the sands but paid no attention to them. Instead he watched out for more Holdless. Three of there numbers were dead. Probably more. Gibbon could hear the feline but didn’t try to look for it. The ones that were still alive had slowed down a little, unsure how a handful of prepubescent kids had managed to best them. But that didn’t mean they were scared off.
Fiddle spotted a Holdless coming up behind them and turned to face him. The boy had hoped that being spotted would stop the advance but the man only grinned, half his teeth missing, before he came at the three of them faster. Gibbon let out a warcry, which sounded more like a high pitch scream of utter panic, before he raised the sword over his head and charged at the man.

The blonde girl looked blankly at her leader, like he couldn’t possibly be saying anything to her. Words sunk in at a slower rate than before. Turning away with a strange calm that had overcome her, the young girl touched the younger kids on the shoulders and bade them follow her. “Come now, we’ve got to go.” Going, going, gone. She stopped thinking about herself for a little while, taking her mind off of what she had just seen. “Now all of you we’re going to the infirmary.” In fact she was feeling a bit lightheaded. The Infirmary would be a good place for her right now. Glow heard some of them asking questions but she could not find any words to say to reassure them. Questions ranged from whether Arrow was coming to if their parents were alive. As if she could know any of that. As if she wanted to know. Everything in the world was fuzzy. They were heading down the right path. That was all she could focus on, even as momma cat came out of one of the tunnels and followed them. All Seirsha could do was stay cold and calm. Closed off in the small world she was starting to surround herself with, her own little shell. It took them a while but they came to the end of the passage. Glow peered out to make sure there were no Holdless between them and the Infirmary. “Coast is clear, everyone to the infirmary and run if you can!” Seirsha knew she could not run and found her pace rather slow compared to the smaller children. ((Brats can now post in the infirmary thread)) --- The children were causing more and more trouble. Dear Faranth get them out! After Gibbon and Hinuk got Thoran and kept him from attacking the men, Ky had killed another two men. The look she shot to Hinuk said he had better get out of there or she would kill them herself. Leeto had killed the man whom had killed Evelys. There were a few Holdless left but none would probably get out of that Cavern with their lives. Not if Kyrah had anything to say about it. She was fighting the next man, a sword in each of her hands. Parrying blows and spinning in intricate weavings of footwork that a normal guard would be able to do perhaps but not as precisely. Eve was sent over to Hinuk. The Gold nudged him to move. She wanted them out of there. Enough blood was on the Sands for one day. Even the Gold firelizard was concerned for the young ones. Kyrah was perfectly serious too. They were in horrible danger sitting there like that. Even if they were grieving. There would be time for that later. The last thing she needed was distraction. “GET OUT OF HERE!” Her voice reverberated off of the large cavern. It had a way of carrying noise that was a bit different which was why humming dragons could be heard all over on Hatching day. Kyrah was busy with her sword fight and could no longer focus on what the youths were doing. She only hoped they were listening to her.

Thank Faranth Glow had led the rest of the children away -- and Fiddle had come to their aid as well. Faintly the blond registered the clashing of swords somewhere behind him from the other brat and the Holdless, before the man was killed off by either Kyrah, her feline, Gibbon himself or who knew what else. But he couldn't focus on that now, he had to focus on Thoran.
"I said shaffing let go Hinuk!" "And I shaffing said I'm not letting you go until you calm your sharding self down!"
The argument between the two continued, Hinuk able to overpower Dash just slightly -- though at one point of another the dark skinned boy had almost flipped him off. Still, words didn't seem to be doing the trick, and further rushed by Kyrah and her golden flitter Hinuk finally resorted to a different language.
The smack of the rock solid fist hitting the side of Thoran's left cheek resounded slightly over the caverns, his 3rd in command finally stopping his squirming as he stared with a shocked expression back at his blue eyes. They mirrored each other so perfectly, un-bestowed to either of them, but the punch had seemed to have the result Hinuk wanted. Something seemed to click in Thoran's brain as he once more came to and realized the gravity of their position, before the growl of Kyrah finally got them moving.
"Come on, Glow already took the others!"
He grabbed Thoran by one arm, pulling at Gibbon as well as he rushed past him to make sure he followed, before Dash halted next to Spinner's body. With a groan Hinuk was forced to stop as well as the dark skinned lad refused to budge, a silent moment passing between them before the blond gave another groan.
"Fine. Hurry up." "Thanks, Hinuk." "..."
Crouching down Hinuk's back faced Evelys body, Dash moving quickly to gather her as tenderly as he could before slumping her body over their leader. She was still warm, but it was fading away... Thoran only hoped that maybe Faranth would have enough kindness in her to spare Spinner, if they could at least get her to the Infirmary...
Hinuk had less hope than his friend, though he decided it was better not to go against him this once. Still, he could feel the warm blood starting to seep into his clothing, making his stomach twist and turn as he gritted his teeth. He'd be damned however if he left his 2nd in command's body to lie in the Hatching sands and be defiled by any more Holdless that might come this way.
"Let's go, Dash scout ahead and make sure it's safe. Fiddle, watch the rear, just in case any of those idiot sneaks past Kyrah or something. Let's move it!"
Without hesitation Dash made a run for the secret passage, followed by Hinuk as he made sure to keep his upper body slightly angled forward to be able to balance Evelys' body. This meant he was defenseless himself, and so he counted greatly on Fiddle to keep his back safe.

Megdela had been in the back covering the exscape route. She had blended into the shadows as she usually did to defend the area that they were gonna use if things got messy. She was armed with a spear and a bunch of rocks to keep the attackers at bay and cover the route till the youngest where threw. And then she followed. She wasn't gonna be much help with the close combat but she could hide very well and observe unnoticed.she wasn't called mirage for nothing. She threw her pile of ammo till it was gone anytime a big person got to close to the area. She was not about to let anyone cut off the exit. She heard the feline long before she saw it and she stood for a moment in horror as one of their own died. But she quickly snapped out of it as she realized the danger they were in. This wasn't a game this was real and they where in serious trouble. Soon as the youngest were threw she followed them inside to watch their back. When they got to the exit Megdela ran ahead with the younger children while glow took the rear.
