Keylen arrived promptly on time and got to the end of the line. He was a bit nervous cause this will be the first time he was meeting a queen dragon and getting to see the marvelous eggs. He listened quietly to the instructions and while he waited he though long and hard about how he was gonna approach the queen dragon. He went over his words many times to quell the nervousness he felt.
Finally after seeming forever it was finally his turn. He walked forward carefully and bowed gracefully . He was humbled by the beauty of the queen gold. He had never beheld anything so beautiful and enchanting in his life. He spook softly and in a quiet voice. Beautiful Golden Aeritath you shine quite lovely today. May I humbly request permission to see you beautiful children? “ He bowed again to the queen and her rider as he got the permission to go forward.
He walked carefully past the gold and her protected golden egg.he slowly walked among the eggs softly reaching out to touch the shells tenderly and lovingly as he passed. He marveled at each eggs unique beauty as he wonder what secret each one held. What beauty and danger awaited them in the near future. He heard that standing could be dangerous as new hatchling were freshly hatched and eager to make their matches no matter what was in the way.

Tamar was glad he wasn't the last to show up. He listened carefully at the instructions, then watched as others went oh ahead. Aeritath was starting to get agitated by their presence and was showing it. Rubbing his sweaty hands through his hair one more time to help settle his nerves Tamar stepped onto the hot sands. He stood for a moment letting his eyes move over the huge Queen. She was much bigger then he expected up close. He noticed she kept her tail wrapped protectively around the single golden egg on the sands. Taking a deep breath, he walked up to the golden dragon and her rider being careful to not get too close.
Looking up at Aeritath before lowering his eyes respectfully, Tamar bowed deeply once to the queen and again to her rider. "Greetings to you both, Aeritath, I appreciate your allowing me the honor of visiting your children. I promise to be very careful and I won't take much time" Tamar said quietly before standing back up.
He carefully kept his eyes off the golden egg as he waited for permission to continue. Once he got it, he walked carefully across the sands making sure he picked his feet up far enough to keep from tripping on the sands. Having an accident now would be a huge mistake. He looked the eggs over noting the differences in size and color. “What a display of color they are" he whispered to himself in awe.
He walked among them lightly touching one then another briefly before moving on. He was surprised to notice the difference in the feelings coming from each egg. He never expected to be able to feel anything coming from the eggs; it was exciting and scary at the same time. He was attracted to the bright red egg with the golden speckles with white centers. The Passionate Feeling Egg shinning color drew his eyes to it. Slowly reaching his hand out he hesitated before touching it. Tamar took one more look at the queen and her growing restlessness before he dared touch the egg. Immediately he felt feelings of being focused mixed with passion, he wasn't sure of the last thing he was feeling almost like he was being checked out. He backed away from the egg surprised on how strong the feelings emitting from the egg were.
As Tamar backed away he bumped into The Camouflaged Defense Egg. He had to take a closer look before he decided that this was most defiantly an egg even if it was a bit smaller then the others. He would have missed it if he hadn't bumped into it. Putting his hands on each side of the sand colored egg to make sure it wasn't going to fall over when he moved off, he noticed it had some very small black dots all over it. Immediately the feeling he got from the egg was nothing. Looking back at the queen, she didn't seem any more disturbed as she was when he stepped out on the sands, he decided that he would leave this egg alone too. It was defiantly different to not feel anything compared to the egg he had touched before this.
Walking toward the exit of the sands, he noticed a lavender colored egg. The Harmonious Justice Egg was to his right. Stopping to look at its beautiful coloring with the interesting deep purple spots Tamar was drawn to its beauty. Carefully touching the top of the egg, he marveled on how warm and leathery the egg felt under his callused hands. The feeling that came from the egg surprised him some. He didn't know if it was ok to touch this egg, then again it was he was getting confused until a feeling of deep respect crept over him followed by such a feeling of kindness. This egg impressed him, its how he felt deep inside, it described his life in a shell. Deep emotions threatened to bubble to the surface as Tamar gave the egg one final loving pat. "You will be very special I'm thinking little one, very special indeed." Tamar whispered as he walked away.
Many of the other eggs called for his attention, the dark green the lively blue, but he was also sensitive to the queens shifting feet and growing agitation. Before leaving the sands, Tamar walked back over to the queen and her rider. Bowing deeply a final time, all he could manage was a quick "Thank you" before turning and leaving the sands.
If impressing a dragon was as emotional as meeting the eggs, it was no wonder people wanted to become riders. He wanted it before, but he was determined to do his best and hope one of the hatchlings would want him just as much. Tamar took a final look over his shoulder at the colorful eggs sitting on the sands. Tamar headed back to the barracks for a quick nap between chores.
