Bandits of the South
The Holdless of the Southern Continent hold a deep seated hatred for the dragons and their riders. While each family has their own personal story, most have agreed that the dragons have no purpose and refuse to work to support these creatures. Instead they spend their time stealing goods from cotholds and making plans to destroy both Refuge and Haven Weyrs. Some of the leaders are even thinking of taking over the Weyrs, placing themselves in the seat of power in the South. They would potentially become the equivalent of Lord Holders where the smaller Holds would tithe to them rather than the Weyrs.
We are in need of some characters of the Holdless persuasion. In fact I'm already making one! (hahahah)

To help with the bios, Holdless should have:
~ Weapons training (some more advanced than others)
~ Those who are too young to be proficient with a weapon are used as thieves and spies.
~ Age Group that is nomadic / will be accepted: 12 – 55
~ No pregnant women please. They would be left at the main camp and would not be traveling with the nomadic group.
~ Must HATE dragons. You should state why your character hates them. Is there something in their history? Or do they just feel there is no Thread and its all a myth to keep them from taking power? Are they believing something because their parents did?
~ NO pets
~ NO crafts
~ Male and Female characters are being accepted however, those of you with more female characters than male characters I'm going to ask that you create a male for this. As female characters are going to be restricted here, this is an attempt to make things fair for people who have male characters and want a female.
~ The Holdless live the life of nomads and as such will need to carry things with them from place to place. I'd like to suggest they don't have many worldly possessions.
~ Can not Read or Write. (They were not raised around any harpers)
~ No Runners *There will be an opportunity for them to gain runners soon.
~ They're likely not to have too many really old people or people with any sort of disability in their midst.
Use the Holder/Holdfolk application and change the wording at the top from Holder to Holdless.

PS. I really encourage people to make either a Holdless or get involved in the Shield. We've got some great plots coming up involving these two groups of people.
PSS... For some odd reason this makes me think of Robin Hood... only with askew priorities.
