So I got home and got a good look. The basement is flooded at least a foot and a half to two feet deep. The washers and dryers are possibly gone and same for both hot water heaters. we live in a duples and so it's both up and down stairs losing a lot of stuff. We might have lost the deep freeze but before I got home Caige and my mom and sister went down and got it up on crates hoping to save it.
My baby pictues are alright and a few other things, but tomorrow we have to get down and try to salvage the rest. hopefully the building managers will be over to pump the basement tomorrow, but we're # 18 on the list. Whew I'll be heading to bed in a few because we've got a LOT to do tomorrow. *sigh* Could be worse though. The pictures could have been lost

The water went down and we realized one of two possibilities. The drain in the basement is clogged and so less water could get out or.... *shudders* we were walking through raw sewage last night! Gah! The dryers probably fully gone, the washer might be saveable and the deep freeze is fine! *sigh of relief* we still have like 6 papa murpheys take and bake pizzas in there. We're going to sit down for a little breakfast finally and get back to work down there. it's looking like the maintenance guys will have to come and replace the furnaces and possibly the hot water tanks (one of which they just replaced anyways lol I feel for them) and last night there was talk of FEMA coming. all I could imagine was family guy.

Best of luck with all of that. Sounds nasty whichever way it went. Be sure to wash everything and sterilize it, just in case it was sewage! Don't take any chances. <3
