.:: K'vett ::.Rider of Blue Kavanth
K'vett whistled to himself as he slid pieces of furniture around his weyr to make room for the round table he'd borrowed from the lower caverns. One could hardly play dragonpoker at a square table, K'vett had argued to the lower cavern's worker who'd given him a hard time about making off with one of the tables. There was also the matter of food and drink, and for that K'vett had managed to sweet talk one of the women in the kitchens into fixing up him a delicious basket of breads, cheese, and dried meat. Add a couple of bottles of wine to that and he was ready for his dragonpoker party.
There will certainly not be room for anyone to share my ledge. They'll have to drop off their riders and then leave. The tone of the blue was a bit sad as Kavanth enjoyed visitors and gossiping.
You could just go down and join them when they go. K'vett pointed out logically.
Immediately he could feel his dragon take a liking to the idea.
Excellent idea, K'vett.
Shaking his head, but still amused at his dragon, K'vett tossed a stack of dragonpoker cards down on the table and then went to wash up in the small basin in the corner of his weyr. After all, there was no use in the host looking like a sweaty mess, he determined. Once he was clean, the bluerider pulled on a fresh tunic and heard the sound of dragon talons on the ledge.
The first guest had arrived.

K'dan took one last look at himself in the mirror. He wasn't dressing to impress but he wanted to look good just the same. He opted for a white sailor type shirt with billowing sleeves and loose fit, and a pair of black tight fitting soft leather pants that he loosely tucked the bottom of his shirt into, last but not least was a pair of soft sailor boots whose top folded over onto itself. If he unfolded them they would fit over his knees. He tried to tame the unruly locks of hair that refused to behave then gave up. The only time his hair would lay down was when it was long, and he hadn't decided to grow it yet so spikey it was.
Zillath was eater to be off, he enjoyed these nights when the riders relaxed for a game of poker it meant he got to enjoy visiting with the other Dragons. So when K'dan was ready, Zillath was shifting from one foot to the other wanting HIS to hurry up and get on so he could go.
Once he landed on Kavanth's ledge he almost shook K'dan off in his haste to be off. Geeze Zill, give me a moment to dismount will ya? K'dan said as he hit the ground on both feet with a woof. Patting the brown on the shoulder he announced himself to K'vett.
"It's K'dan, may I enter?" he shouted before entering the mans Weyr. He was looking forward to this evening. He needed to relax some.

.:: Bluerider K'vett ::.
"Come on in, K'dan!" K'vett called to the younger bluerider. He was glad that the man had decided to show up at the dragonpoker party, he wasn't sure if he would. Frankly, K'vett didn't know if anyone would show up, he was only a lowly bluerider after all and there were some of the higher-ups that were only interested in associating amongst themselves.
K'vett looked up as his fellow bluerider entered, "Glad you could make it, man." He smiled, not for the first time noting the pleasing looks of K'dan. It didn't hurt to notice after all. Even casual clothing complimented the young bluerider's tall, lean form.
.: Greenrider Zaylee ::.
Zaylee whistled happily to herself as Aphrioth bugled a welcome to the blue Kavanth and settled on his ledge. Jumping down from her green's neckridge, Zaylee gave her lifemate an affectionate thump on the flank before sending her off. For a moment the greenrider watched her dragon fly away before turning and entering the weyr, "Allright, boys! The party is here!" She called, smiling as she sauntered into the weyr.
"Hello, K'dan." She greeted the bluerider, before nodding to K'vett.

"Hey K'vett, I'm glad to be here. To be honest I was looking forward to this night." K'dan greeted the bluerider happily. He heard the other dragon bugling a greeting and he turned just in time to see Zaylee enter from the ledge. "Hey there Zaylee how are you this evening?" he greeted her with a grin. "What can I do to help?" He asked K'vett. He liked the slightly older man a lot, but kept his thoughts to himself.
Shivath bugled a greeting as she landed long enough to allow Aisynn to dismount. "Hi K'vett, K'dan and Zaylee. Oh good, I'm in time. I wouldn't want to miss this. How is everyone?" She asked as she greeted them. She was glad Zaylee was here, she felt much better not being the only woman. So far the odds were even.
