Glad it was over, K'dan jumped up on Osirith and strapped in as he gave the signal to go skyward. Once they cleared the ground Osirith made quick forceful wing strokes gaining altitude with each. Once they were high enough, Osirith glided closer to Kalith for another look at the boy that made his rider so uncharacteristly mad.
Are you OK minekdan? What happened, I hope we won't be in trouble now. I like to search. Osirith asked his rider.
I don't know why the boy irritated me so much Osirith, it doesn't happen very often and I wish it hadn't today. This was so important for us, Disk and Kalith and the Weyr. I just cannot stand rudeness. He answered his blue feeling more upset now then he had on the ground. He really was sorry he lost it. But he wasn't sorry about telling the lad off, he just wished it was somewhere else, anywhere else theen here today.
Would you please tell Kalith to tell his that I'm sorry and promise never to do it again if he will go with us another time. K'dan asked his blue.
Kalith, mine asks if you would tell yours he is sorry, and that he promises if we search together again that he will not act like this again Osirith passed on changing it just a little. He hoped that they would be able to search together again. He secretly didn't blame his rider, if he hadn't spoken when he did, he was about to himself. Either way, they got what they came for, and his was really sorry. He vowed to help him keep his cool if it ever happened again.

Upon receiving the signal to leave the ground, Kalith vaulted skyward with a mixture of movement comprised of a huge leap and a massive downward stroke of her wings. Her smaller and lither body allowed the Green to easily catch up to and out pace the larger Blue. The skies truly belonged to the Green.
As Osirith drew closer, Kalith dipped lightly so that the Blue could draw astride closer without an aerial collision. Neither dragon or rider paid any mind to the sudden shift, but D'isk was constantly making sure that Kethemar was safe and secure. Every now and again, D'isk would adjust a strap around the other man's foot or shift himself so that he was easier to hold on to. Kalith was even doing her part to remain straight and unadventurous, but her impatient and playful nature was still visible in some mild (compared to the usual) turns and altitude jumps.
When Kalith received the message, she passed it on to D'isk.
K'dan wishes to apologize for his actions. He says he will control himself better if we are open to Searching with him in the future.
D'isk turned and gave K'dan a friendly smile.
Kalith tell that silly man I don't mind. Tempers happen to the best of us! Sure I'll still Search with him.
The Green snorted lightly at her rider's easy and forgiving manner, but she loved him for it.
D'isk says he was never upset with K'dan, and he is willing to Search together in the future.
Settling the matter at hand, D'isk leaned back instinctively before he realized he had company still. Lurching forward with a laugh, the Greenrider apologized for bumping Kethemar.
"So, what do you think of flying so far? Kalith and I can get pretty crazy up here, but most Greens and their riders can. The agility and speed make up for being the lowest rank in the Weyr. At least, I think so. Plus, people can't insult you properly if you're never on the ground for them to!"

A crooked grin rode across Kethemar's face. Luckily Turns of finding his balance on a bucking ship lent him some experience as the dragon maneuvered through the air. Still, his stomach kept doing this funny little flops whenever the green dipped in altitude. Overall, Kethemar found the experience of flying thrilling and it made him aware, more than ever, that he _really_ wanted a dragon of his own.
Plleeaasseeee let a dragon pick me. He thought to himself as he gazed down at the ground below, watching as the quilted pattern of the landscape rushed by beneath. Yes sir, he liked flying and he would do it any time he had an opportunity.
"I love it!" He spoke close to D'isk's ear where the greenrider could hear him.
Settling back for a moment Kethemar shook his head, wishing his family could see him now. Perhaps then they'd pay him a little more attention or be proud of their son. Probably not. He thought, knowing that the only thing on his parents mind was how to get food to feed the hungry mouths of their children.
"Are we going to go between?" Kethemar asked curiously, hoping that he would get the added thrill of the infamous realm of between that was discussed in ballads and folklore.
