OOC: Please feel free to jump in anyone! Suynie Suynie gulped down a nervous exhale as she felt Rhiannoth's muscles compact as the gold crouched and then sprang aloft, her long golden wings beating the air and causing the wind to gust around the bowl beneath her. She couldn't believe it was already time to say goodbye to the people of Haven Weyr, but it was time for her to return to Refuge as its Senior Gold. That alone was daunting to Suynie. She knew the experience she'd gained at Haven had more than prepared her for the work of acting as Refuge's Senior Weyrwoman, but that didn't stop her from being nervous about it. It was hard imagining people calling her "Weyrwoman", especially the friends that she'd went through Weyrlinghood with like Zaylee and Vaylee. Although it would be good to see them again because she had a feeling that they wouldn't treat her differently. She still wanted to be the same girl on the inside and be able to have her friends. Come on, the Weyr awaits us. Rhiannoth insisted as she waited for Suynie to confirm the mental image she had of Refuge Weyr swirling in her mind. Once the coordinates were set Rhiannoth pulled them between. Home. The word invoked bittersweet emotions in Suynie as they came out of between above Refuge Weyr. Proudly Rhiannoth bugled a greeting to the watchdragon, while at the same time announcing her arrival to the rest of the Weyr. Feeling her nerves grow to a jittery state, Suynie made herself exhale and remain calm. If she could help Haven organize itself after the attacks of the Holdless, she could help Refuge grow and prosper. You are my rider, which makes you worthy. We will show the people of Refuge why we are Queens. Don't fret so much. Rhiannoth ordered as she came in for a smooth landing in the Weyrbowl, her gargantuan size dwarfing everything around her. It was easy to forget how big a Queen was until she landed! People scurried about in the weyrbowl, making room for the Queen as she landed, and Suynie smiled, looking far more confident than she felt. It was comforting to see familiar, friendly faces looking up at her and she gave a little wave as she pulled off her riding helmet, and then made a graceful leap to the weyrbowl floor.

Rhiannoth is here. Zorometh informed D’seus who got up off the chair he was sitting in. The dusty record he had been reading through sat back down on the table. We better go and greet the new Weyrwoman then. Indeed. Rhiannoth deserves respect as does her rider. Queens always demanded respect. He mounted his dragon easily before being taken to the Bowl. Zorometh landed far enough away as to not cause dust to rise up around the Queen and the people gathering to greet her.
D’seus was the first Bronzerider there so he took it upon himself to welcome the Goldrider. Walking up to the dark haired young woman he said with a charming smile and a bow, “Welcome home, Weyrwoman Suynie and to you as well Rhiannoth. Not much has changed since your departure.” He was not going to say much more than that because there were plenty of people who would want to the chance to greet the young woman and welcome her back.
The Bronzerider felt a bit torn at the arrival of Rhiannoth. She had yet to prove herself in a mating flight. Who knew what the Queen was capable of as far as clutching went. To top that off, he was in a close relationship with Aeriath’s rider before she had to transfer to Haven permanently. Now he was left with bruised feelings and a bit of hesitation towards the young woman who know would be Senior Weyrwoman at Refuge. He did not want her to know that he was even thinking half of those things.
“If you need anything, you can call on Zorometh or I. We’re at your service.” Maybe not the most eloquent of the people who would welcome her but D’seus never said things he did not mean. If she had questions or concerns he could address them or find out who could. The man had no doubt that B’ren would be here as soon as possible to check out his former classmate. Suave youth was almost as bad as D’seus was at his age.

Suynie smiled at D'seus as he approached and greeted her, "Thank you, D'seus. I'm sure Rhiannoth won't hesitate to call on Zorometh should she need something." The gold had no trouble at all asking bronze and brown dragons to do her bidding and she particularly enjoyed putting Suynie into embarrassing situations. Still, Suynie was grateful for the greeting from D'seus because she was sure that there were some at Refuge who were not happy to be losing Aeriath and her rider for Suynie and Rhiannoth. The fact that Rhiannoth had yet to rise or clutch was a constant companion in the back of Suynie's mind.
It is good to see you again, Zorometh. It has been a while. Rhiannoth eagerly greeted the bronze dragon as she flexed her golden wings a bit. The gold certainly had no reservations, nor fears about being back at Refuge. She didn't think it odd at all that she'd yet to rise. In the gold's thinking she'd rise when she was good and ready, and when she did, she would produce a strong, healthy clutch for the Weyr.

Rhiannoth is back. Neinoth commented as he canted on a wing and cruised in a large, slow circle over the forest canopy, head cocked to one side as he scanned the foliage below.
"Wonderful." Alez's tone was dry and not at all sincere. He had a good head screwed on his shoulders and he'd seen the fluctuations of Weyrs before. This was more of the same, yet somewhat different. But, being Weyrleader he also had to deal with it directly. "Alright. Let them know we're leaving." He decided.
I am returning to the Weyr. Keep the search on. Neinoth told the other dragons he was flying with before turning and cruising back toward the massive installation that was their home. Beating his wings just a few times on occasion, he cruised with high efficiency all the way to the wall, over, and swooping down into the bowl. It was plenty big enough to hold an entire wing of dragons and he had no trouble at all finding a safe place to alight without disturbing anyone. Especially since so many were gathering around the returned gold weyrling.
A'lez unstrapped and slid down to land on his feet. Stripping his flight gloves off and tucking them into his belt he strode over toward the gathering as he removed his goggles and helmet, tucking them under his arm.
"Greetings, Suynie." A'lez said as he arrived. "I trust your trip went well?" He stopped near where D'seus stood, and clapped the other Bronzer on the shoulder in silent greeting. His attention didn't waver too far from the young woman before him. Barely more than a girl with no idea what she was headed for. She was going to need a lot of help before she would ever be a proper Weyrwoman. Training and reality of leadership were two very different things after all. Even young Bronzeriders had no idea what they were in for until they landed in it with both feet. "Your quarters have been prepared for your arrival. I believe all it wants is your personal touch now."
Neinoth settled to the ground where he stood, and heaved a sigh. All warmed up, he hadn't quite been ready to stop flying. Given that he was still the Weyrleader's Bronze, he was also still under the glamour of the previous Gold and having won her. Right now, he really didn't care much for the new, younger one. In his mind, she was still a baby, as well. Not a full adult Gold until she did what Golds did.

A dragon bugled. The watchdagon.
The new Senior Weyrwoman has just arrived back MyLove, we should greet her.
Marlaey looked up from her meal at her dragon's words. Suynie is back? she asked eagerly, just to confirm. Marlaey had not seen the young weyrwoman for quite some time, and even then it was only ever at a distance considering the difference in their rank at the weyr. But now she too was a goldrider, they were practically on equal terms! We are on equal terms and yes, she is here. Swallowing the last piece of sandwich whole, Marlaey jumped up to meet her gold in the Bowl before heading towards the Senior pair.
Elynth nuzzled her rider once Marlaey was outside in the open, You have some wherry meat on your chin Love, she commented, licking the offending scrap away. Marlaey laughed and pushed her affectionate queen playfully. Do we look presentable? From Elynth's stance and her mantled wings it was obvious that she felt more than ready to meet the other gold of their weyr. Making sure to keep their paces slow and steady (so Elynth's natural clumsiness on the ground would not be so prominent), they walked over to the gathering of dragons and people.
Greetings Zorometh, Neinoth, Elynth crooned as she reached them first, making sure that they remembered who she was. Yes, Rhiannoth was the senior queen and would rise before her, but she would not let the weyr or it's bronze's forget that she too was a beautiful gold.
Welcome back Rhiannoth and Suynie, we are well met.
Marlaey wondered for a moment if her dragon was doing more than asserting herself, did she feel threatened by the older gold? Shaking her head and smiling a little Marlaey turned to Suynie herself and spoke, "Welcome back Weyrwoman, I am Marlaey of Gold Elynth." She held nothing but respect for the older pair and hoped that Suynie and her dragon would be able to teach them more of the weyrwoman's duties.

R'kin was with his bronze as they we're sunning on the shores of the weyr lake when he turned to see everyone starting to walk in a general direction. He didn't know what the big deal was however his dragon's mind entered in his then said, " "It's Rhiannoth," as R'kin got up and started to walk quickly with his own dragon. The young bronze rider had heard that the queen was returning to the weyr and would hopefully soon rise. He'd never meet her before and knew that there would be a lot adjustment for everyone with her return. When he arrived upon the scene he saw a few other people had already arrived and noticed that they we're all metallic riders. The fact that even the weyrling gold had come to greet the new queen made him smile and he stood in the back not really wanting to go in front of anyone.
It was their personality that the two of them seem to share not wanting to be the center of attention or to take any sort of leadership role. He had been told however that eventually he'd have no choice and glad that he was tall enough to at least see her. His height for even a seventeen year old was taller then some of the adult riders and he just looked onward. She was a beautiful queen and would no doubt give the weyr beautiful dragnets soon enough. His dragnet was tired of being ignored and moved past all others then looked up at the queen then said, "Greetings, Rhiannoth I'm bronze Krestanovith and this is my rider R'kin,". His rider was stumbling behind him and finally caught up to him where he said, "I'm so sorry," as he looked embarrassed at how his bronze was acting.

Suynie's eyes studied the Weyrleader as he approached. She remembered A'lez, of course, although she'd never taken the time to think that she would one day be working beside him as the Weyrwoman. It was an odd reality, to be sure, but A'lez was a hard working man, and a great leader, and Suynie felt comfortable knowing that she would be working with someone so capable. That, however, was where the comfortable aspect of the relationship ended. A'lez was, in Suynie's estimation, a little intimidating, especially with the way he was piercing her with his gaze at that very moment. She felt as if she were a specimen on display and if there was found one speck of imperfection she would be cast aside without further notice.
"Weyrleader," she greeted him with a pleasant tone and a tilt of her head, "it is good to see you again. My trip was well," she answered his question, thinking back fondly of Haven and the stay she'd had there.
It was going to be quite a challenge, Suynie knew, to take up the mantle of Senior Weyrwoman since Raelwyn and Aeriath had been so well liked by the people and riders of Refuge. Although she was young, Suynie had no doubts about her capabilities as a leader. Hadn't she just been tested under the hardest possible conditions at Haven Weyr and succeeded? She would prove to Refuge that she had what it took to direct the Weyr into prosperity.
At the approach of another woman, Suynie's eyes immediately went to the girl's shoulder knots and knew before she spoke that this was the newest goldrider at the Weyr, "Well met, Marlaey, your Elynth is quite beautiful. I hope you two are doing well and that we'll get to know each other better soon."
It is good to see you, Elynth Rhiannoth spoke to the younger queen, I hope that we can sun together some time. She said with genuine interest in the gold.
The young bronze that strode up to the queens surprised Rhiannoth a bit, but she found it charming and endearing that the dragon wanted to be close to her. After all, in Rhiannoth's opinion every dragon in the Weyr should want to be closer to her.
It is nice to meet you Krestanovith. She responded in a gracious tone.
Suynie waved off the young dragonrider's embarrassment with a smile, after all, she knew how it was when your dragon had a mind of their own and insisted on doing things their way, "It's no trouble." She assured R'kin.

Rhiannoth and hers have just landed in the bowl. “What?! Already? Oh shards I figured they’d spend a little more time at Haven saying good-bye and doing that sort of stuff…” The brozen rider had spent far too much of his day preening in the mirror. He need to make sure he looked good when he good when he greeted Suynie. And for once Zeuth wasn’t nagging at him to be more serious. The dragon wanted to make a good impression on Suynie and Rhiannoth just as much as B’ren did. Neinoth and Zorometh are already there. Along with the young bronze Krestanovith. “Relax, let them all overwhelm her in the first couple of minutes. She’ll be saying hi to so many people she won’t remember any of them in a candle mark. We on the other hand, can take a little longer and say hello to her after all those other silly bronzes do so. She’ll be far more likely to remember us. Not that we’re an easy pair to forget.” B’ren could put many of the weyr’s women to shame with how much time he spent on his looks. But he was still young and more then just a little vein about his looks, after all not everyone could be as handsome as he was. Finally feeling that not only was the time right but that he was looking as good as he was going to get, B’ren climbed up onto Zeuth and the pair glided down to the weyrbowl were everyone else was gathering. With Zeuth not only being one of the longest dragons in the Weyr but one of the biggest in general, they landed a little ways away from everyone else, Zeuth letting out a trill of a greeting to Rhiannoth. Hello Rhiannoth, it’s good to see you again. I hope Haven treated you well. B’ren approached, looking as confident as only a bronze rider could. It was cute watching the kid R’kin talk to Suynie, cute in a painfully embarrassing sort of way. R’kin and Or’yn both needed to get some lessons on how to talk to girls. But both of the old men where there too, current Weyrleader A’lez, and former Weyrleader D’seus. Both men were good role models but their time had passed. They were getting too old and stuffy, especially for someone as young and as beautiful as Suynie. “Suynie! The Weyr just hasn’t been the same without you here.” He gave the goldrider his most charming and friendly smile, being more friendly with her then the other bronze riders had so far. But the two of them had been in weyrling lessons together, and with both Suynie and him being friends with the twins, they had had friendly conversations outside of lessons as well. He finally turned his attention to some of the others there, giving D’seus and A’lez a more serious nod of greeting before treating R’kin and Marley to a much friendly smile. “I hope everyone’s been making you feel welcomed Suynie.”

Suynie's face lit with a smile when she saw B'ren coming towards her. Since it had been a Turn since they'd seen one another she noted several changes in his appearance, and if her imagination wasn't playing tricks on her, Zeuth had grown a lot as well. B'ren had been one of the Weyrlings that Suynie hadn't mind hanging around when she and Rhiannoth had been at Refuge. He was one of the guys that had hung around Zaylee and Vaylee so it had been easy getting to know him.
"B'ren!" She returned his greeting, loving the feeling that the bronzerider was truly glad to see her back, "It's so good to see you again! Zeuth is certainly looking well."
Yes, he certainly is. Rhianonth said in a purr of agreement to her rider. The gold's attention was honed on the bronze as she spoke, Zeuth, it is good to see you again.

Neinoth shifted where he was stretched out on the ground, and arched his neck as the swirls in his eyes sped up slightly. Greetings, Elynth. he answered happily. While he held little to no attention for the older juvenile Queenlet, the younger of the pair held a special spot in his mind. Mostly because, well, she was his get. He was proud of all his get. But especially of her. What Bronze sire wouldn't be proud?
A'lez was quick to realize the growing number of young people flocking in to greet the newly arrived Queenrider. He was also quick to realize that many of them were probably friends or classmates... or in some cases more pointedly potential suitors vying for her attention. Such as it was. There were things, and then there were important things. A'lez was a hard person to stand in the way of when he chose to move. Standing head and shoulders over a lot of people and built like a brick outhouse helped a lot. He made his way to where he could get Suynie's attention again.
"When you are settled in and have time, we need to talk. Events have transpired that you need to be brought up to speed on. Come see me when you are ready." A'lez told her, before giving her a nod and leaving again, leaving her to all the youths that clamored for her attention. Leaving the cluster once more, he headed back for his dragon again, plopping his helmet back on his head.
He had a feline to hunt down before it was time to take care of the more administrative type tasks of running a Weyr.

Rhianonth has landed, I do not wish to be the last Bronze there! Achilleth informed A'miri excitedly, taking great care but pleasure of almost knocking his rider into the water. They were fishing, the rider had already caught enough for his dinner and the Bronze had eaten his fill. A'miri was comfortably purched on his Dragons back relaxing but still dry until the brute all but shook him off when he announced his news.
So soon? Let me get this stuff packed up, and my fish attached to you better and we will go greet her. he told the excited Bronze. Getting himself settled and strapped in securley he gave the signal to take off. Being carefully not to jar his rider or his fish too bad, Achilleth took a few extra wing beats to get high enough before taking them between.
Coming in at a low but acceptable height, Aillath brought them out of between safely. Landing carefully to make sure no one who was headed to great the new senior Queen and her rider Suynie, Achilleth landed. A'miri unstrapped and headed for the new ly returned pair as he took his helmet off. Achilleth walking with him.
"Welcome home Suynie. I am glad you are back. Greetings to you also Rhianonth, you are looking more beautiful then you were when you left." He spoke softly giving each one their own short bow of respect. A'miri also nodded in greeting to the other riders that were gathered around. Greetings beautiful Rhianonth, I welcome you and your Suynie home. Achilleth also greeted the Queen with a slight bow of his own. He took a moment to great the other bronzes as well.
_----------------_
K'dan and Osirith hung back from the bigger Bronzes it was more important for them to greet the Queen first after all. Osirith decided that staying back was one thing, but he wanted to voice his greet in of welcome too. Greetings Rhianonth and Suynie, Kdanmine and I Blue Osirith, welcome you home. The Blue bugled politely, pleased that he had been the first Blue to greet the pair.
------------------- Petroth was snoozing while his rider was studying some old hides, when he heard the returning senior Queen announce her arrival to the watch dragon and Weyr alike. Coming completely awake, he lifted his head to look at T'mar , his eyes whirling excitedly. Rhianonth and hers have arrived. I wish to go greet her too, please mine. We don't have to be in the middle of the Bronzes. Besides, Osirith is there so i won't be the only Blue there.
T'mar almost fell off his stool when Petroth spoke to him. He was so absorbed in his hide that he missed the Queens call of greetings? He headed over to check his reflection to make sure he was presentable. OK silly one, lets go. No reason a Weyrling and his Dragon can't greet them too." He answered the trembling Blue.
Together, they headed for the Bowl. T'mar spotted K'dan and his Blue standing a bit out of the way of the bigger Bronzes. When the pair reached them, little Petroth couldn't take it. He wanted to make a good impression. Greetings Gold Rhianonth and yours, it is I Weyrling Blue Petroth and my rider Csarmine. We are glad you are here, and we are pleased to meet you both. the little blue twin called politely. He hoped he made a good impression, it seemed they were the first regular Weyrling pair to greet them. After allit was more fitting to let the newest Gold Weyrling be first.
Grinning widely, T'mar stood straight and tall, giving what he hoped was a good rider salute. Still grinning he looked to K'dan for a moment before turning back to watch. What a beautiful golden color she is, T'mar thought to himself and Petroth. He briefly wondered where Danuth was.

R'kin was pleased that the weyrwoman didn't seem angry with his bronze dragon just pushing up to her for attention. She was just like he imagined a weyrwoman to be as he'd yet to see a ugly weyrwoman. It seemed that when a gold dragon chose a rider she chose one that would be physically appealing or so it seemed to R'kin. When he saw the other bronze riders arriving he got his bronze dragonet to pull back with him and they stood to the side. The young pair had just wanted to meet the woman as he'd never had the chance to meet her before.
When he looked onward the young rider saw another of his fellow riders Aneisia of Green Bealveth had also come up for a good look. She approached dressed in a pesant white shirt and black pants with a pair of brown boots. Aneisia had wanted a look at the new weyrwoman had approached off to the side with her green. The new weyrwoman would no doubt be too busy for just a green weyrling pair yet she hoped to get a look at her. Her hair was down which caused the wind to blow it in her face and she marveled at the gold dragon. A new hope for the weyr had arrived and would provide with them new eggs soon enough.

More people were turning out to greet her than Suynie had imagined, but she enjoyed the overwhelming group of people because she was seeing familiar faces that she'd not laid eyes on in a Turn. It was nice seeing some of the Weyrlings that she'd been in classes with just a Turn before, and it was nice to know that the leaders she had looked up to, like D'seus and A'lez, were around and still leading the Weyr. Seeing A'miri, Suynie smiled at his greeting, "Thanks, A'miri, it's good to see you and Achilleth." Nearly every bronzerider Suynie saw reminded her of Rhiannoth's still virgin state and made her wonder who she would be waking up to after her first flight. Greetings to you as well, Achilleth. You are looking very well. Rhiannoth certainly looked favorably upon the bronze given the fact that he had not only complimented her on her beauty but bowed as well.
While Rhiannoth did bask in the attention and greetings from the bronze and brown dragons, she also didn't over look the greetings from the other dragons, because as a queen dragon she felt protective of all the dragons in the Weyr, Thank you for the welcome, Osirith and Petroth, I am glad to see that you are both looking well. She happily greeted the blues.

Marlaey/Elynth Marlaey smiled warmly, "I hope so too." And she really did. It would be wonderful to have someone to look up to, someone who understood exactly what she was going through. Elynth too was feeling happy, but it was due to Rhiannoth's suggestion to sun together sometime soon. Of course, I look forward to it. They stepped to one side to allow others to come and greet the senior weyrwoman. Marlaey was sure they would have time enough to speak to them both once they were settled in. Elynth mantled her wings, chirruping to the relaxing Neinoth, pleased at his reaction to her. Watching many more riders and dragons arrive Marlaey noticed R'kin among them and waved happily to him after he'd greeted Suynie. She felt proud to see Petroth and His come to pay respects to the senior gold too, blues were so important to the weyr. P'lel/Revyketh P'lel hadn't exactly been informed about Rhiannoth's return because Revyketh had taken it upon himself to wander down to the bowl and greet her without him. Struggling to catch up, P'lel raced out of the barracks and down to the large gathering, his bronze flit Kialio zooming close behind him. Sharddit Rev, you could've waited for me! he scolded, arriving a little late on the scene. The hulking masses of bronze dragons surrounding them was quite intimidating, but the familiar presence of their weyrling queen and his peers felt comforting enough to balance it out. Oh, woops! Sorry about that mate, I just wanted to see who our golden leaders were. I haven't greeted them yet so don't worry, we can do that now if you like?P'lel ran a hand through his tousled hair and sighed. Typical Revyketh, too independent for his own good sometimes! Alright then, but this time don't forget about me! His brown dragon rumbled in amusement and nudged him forward a little. Welcome Rhiannoth, Suynie. It is good to meet you at last. I am Revyketh and this is my rider P'lel. P'lel smiled warmly and they both inclined their heads to the gold pair. Kialio made a lot of noise as he flew around above the scene, slightly embarrassing P'lel, but he hoped the flit wasn't too noticeable.

Greetings to you and your rider, as well, Revyketh. Rhiannoth greeted the young pair cordially, glad to see so many young dragons out to greet her. Youth was not a bad thing, it meant that there was another generation rising in the Weyr that would help strengthen the Wings against Threadfall.
While Suynie felt that the greetings she'd received were mixed in their sincerity and in their enthusiasm, she was grateful for them nonetheless. There was no reason why anyone at Refuge should think that Suynie and Rhiannoth would succeed. After all, they'd not seen the pair in action at Haven for the Turn that they had spent there helping rebuild and organize. Only Suynie and Rhiannoth knew how much they'd truly learned and grown in that Turn, and only they could even begin to fathom how prepared they really were for the daunting challenge that lie ahead of them.
Irregardless of the feelings of nostalgia that she was feeling towards Haven, this was it, she was home now. Refuge Weyr may still have been mourning the loss of Raelwyn and Aeriath to Haven Weyr, but Suynie was determined that they would soon see that Suynie and Rhiannoth were no longer Weyrlings, and that the leadership of the Weyr now rested in good hands.
